Wow, Nintendo is putting out a great game that tons of fans across consoles are looking forward to... and people are still arguing about Xbox? >_< Sorry, everyone knows Nin is fine. Yeah they cater to kids a lot, but Microsoft caters to "Bros" (you know, tools, jocks, a##holes?) who don't appreciate diversity in gaming just as much. Xbox always has, and will be, a console leeching off of the PC market.
Don't get me wrong, Xbox has also ALWAYS had great features that no one else was willing to pour their money into, like Live and voice controlled NSA machines, gigantic controllers that look like dreamcast freak brother... anyways! IT is going to be a good game. who cares about console wars?! Sony said Nintendo is CRUCIAL in creating new hardcore gamers. Just surrender your Master Chief Boners and play some Mario Kart, you D*cks... and if you want shoot em up crazy crap FPS inbred games so bad, put your skills to work and sign up for the reserves or something. Crikey.
Nintendo is rad. The Wii U has a wack name and is "underpowered" uh... who cares!? their upcoming games look rad! IF you want the Big N to stop 'sucking' maybe you should buy their consoles and get them out of the hole so they can AFFORD to speed up their first party production! I mean who here can be pissed off about HD open world Zelda, SSBU with more characters than your last tweet, and F**king STARFOX?! you guys have no souls lol.
Nintendo is like your heart, sony your brain, xbox... well... your f**king D*ck, damn FPS masterbaters... lol Go play Dead or Alive 9 or something on your xbox and shut up about Nintendo. Miyamotto said recently he is tired of you "just entertain me" gamers. "go to disneyland" i think he said, and oh yeah, don't tell anyone about when you buy your wii u and play starfox, or zelda, or metroid, or SSB, or MarioKart all night because: hmm, oh yea! just because graphically they may not be the newest UT engine or whatever, the only other game producer outside of nintendo that is as famous for continually creating AMAZING gameplay experiences is Hideo. so suck it haha. I think it is hilarious the Xbox has maybe a dozen in house original published games that are classics, and their fanboys are like "YUP! Thats IT! EVERYONE ELSE QUIT. HERE COMES MICROSOFT, WUAAAA!" lol. Nintendo has a winner with this game and XBONERS are just crying because they have no good exclusives. PC kills xboxs for lunch folks. sorry. "Nintendo is it's own genre." I mean master-chief is just a poor chauvinist rip off of Samus and Xbox's best exclusives were purchased from Nintendo anyways... (troll baiting, anyone? :D ) But honestly, the hub bub is great and all but Nintendo's most graphically advance console with tons of games was SHAT on by Xboners everywhere and, uh, yeah. They were fine. So SHUT UP.
lol, seriously, every true hardcore gamer I have ever met owned or owns a Nintendo system from each new gen they release, NONE of them care at all about xbox. Most true hardcore FPS players I know laugh at HALO. AND! Who CARES!>!>?? Just forget about the damned rat race and enjoy the GOOD GAMES. Every console has them! As consumers we are LUCKY that with a few months savings most people who spend time on these forums could afford ALL the systems out there. Just stop drinking for a month, or ordering pizza, or whatever. ITs stupid! I mean, Zelda's producer admits to playing other consoles freely, what is wrong with you ppl?! What is wrong with me? lol
Looks cool...lucky few Wii U owners.
I bet (and hope) it will be released on others systems by early/mid 2016.
This game looks awesome and I enjoyed the Direct though it lacked either of the announcements I was hoping for; be that Bayonetta would be joining Smash bros. or a Bayonetta Wii U console bundle...
Sorry dude to play it you'll need a Wii U. It will never be released on another console because Nintendo published (they payed Platinum games to make it). Btw there are more Wii U owners than XB1!!!
@BoxOfPocky I believe your comment makes you very old. It's the director's decision on how Bayonetta costume works... not to mention vital of summoning one of her beast.
@Lightning__Evil I still expect Bayonetta to turn up in smash, even if it's as dlc.
@ForsakenWicked Lol THIS is what Nintendo gamers think their answer to mature gaming is? Nintendo is an absolute joke.
@jcastaner never say never. rayman legends was a wii exclusive too and it was eventually released on other consoles.
@dani_i89 Actually, your comment is a FREAKING joke. Quit crying like a bitch and accept it. If it weren't for Nintendo publishing Bayonetta 2, the entire franchise would have been dead two years ago.
@dani_i89 @ForsakenWicked I wouldn't normally respond to what sounds like some random trollish fanboy, but whatever.
He didn't mentioned mature gaming? Mature people care about gameplay regardless of if it's Mario, dark souls or bayonetta. This game looks great but we have to wait and see.
Fanboys for other systems are that ones that care about so called "mature" games because they have to desperately try to convince themselves that they aren't the childish little brats they act like on internet comment sections.
@tdawgg30 @dani_i89 Who's crying? There's a difference between making a point and complaining like a bitch. Bayonetta is nothing, Nintendo exists because of Mario only. Creativity died when the Gamecube was released.
@Nev3rtime @dani_i89 @ForsakenWicked A mature person would appreciate all aspects of gaming. Nintendo has pretty much become a 'for the family only' console. A console which has not, cannot and will never be able to display some of gaming's modern gems. I'm not a fan boy, I love Mario and Zelda, and I'd like to continue to see those games. However, those games need a break...they have really become used and abused, and are Nintendo's ONLY salvation. On top of that you have the crappy handhelds which get a new release every year. My Xbox and PC offers what the Nintendo simply does not: versatility and variety. Nintendo has sucked right after the 64 went out. Since then it's been all cute, cuddly, repetitive and gimmicky. Bayonetta seems like your average anime: over-imaginative and un-inspiring.
What a thin, thin shadow of it's former self Nintendo now is.
@dani_i89 You're still a freaking joke. If you don't like Nintendo or the Bayonetta franchise, stay the hell away from this topic and move on.
And before you create more of your salty tears ('cause I'm thirsty), Nintendo exists not only Mario... but also big franchises like The Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Super Smash Bros., Pokemon, Pikmin, Kid Icarus, Fire Emblem, Xenoblade, etc. And there are newcomers coming from Nintendo like Splatoon, Project STEAM, and Devi's Third.
Get N or get out!
@dani_i89 @Nev3rtime @ForsakenWicked I can just about believe your claim that you're not a fanboy. But only by assuming that you are genuinely in the dark to what Nintendo console offer. That's not unusual, it's hard to appreciate all that's available on a system you don't own and don't follow. You probably haven't owned a Nintendo console since the n64 and are unaware of the majority of games available on the systems.
I own both a Xbox 360 and a Wii U. Obviously the Xbox 360 is a much older system and as a much larger library at the moment, but once you account for that I don't see how anyone who was to gives both console a fair shot could claim that the xbox 360 offers a richer range of games. The xbox library largely mirrors the narrow variate that many of the large western third parties make. Their games are mechanically very similar shoot em ups and beat em ups. Actually, much of the variety you do find on the xbox 360 comes from indie games. The wii U also has a rich indie library and could likely end up with more games than any past Nintendo home console as a result.
Anyway the big games on xbox 360 are manly grey and brown shoot em ups and beat em ups. In fact (other than indies) I can only think of bioshock infinite, sonic generations and mirrors edge as games that deviate from that colour pallet.
Don't get me wrong, I have a lot of fun on my xbox360, but my Wii U is currently my primary gaming system and that's due to the range of games you simply don't get on an xbox console. Actually, owning the two, I can say the systems contrast each other nicely.
Saying Nintendo is just about Mario and Zelda is as ignorant as saying the xbox is just about halo.
As for the (Supposedly crappy) 3ds, it's got an absolutely amazing and vast library of games. It's low on fps's but really has everything else. One of the best software libraries of any console ever. Buy one.
@tdawgg30 Most of those games are kid games. I was into Nintendo more than you ever were, believe me. I always tried to find a reason to like Nintendo after the 64, and never wanted to dislike the company until recently. The company now is a massive joke, and is a thin, THIN shadow of it's former self. It's not blind hatred or fanboi-ism...it's a realisation of what the company is actually about. I visited 2 major gaming retailers recently and had a look at the WiiU shelf: aside from Mario, Donkey Kong, various uninspiring jap games and kids/learning games, there was not a single game that took my attention as a potential gamers game. Everything is casual and easily accessible. Coupled with a controller that looks like the iPad's ugly cousin, you have casual gamers heaven.
Let me throw you the names of some games - Halo, Mass Effect, Elder Scrolls, Gears of War, The Last of Us, God of War, Dead Space, Half Life, Bioshock, The Witcher. All of these games have 2 things in common: they excel at what they are designed to do and they are available on consoles. Except for the WiiU. Developers choose not to develop games for Nintendo because Nintendo is totally inflexible and out of date. The WiiU isn't even as powerful as the PS3 and 360. How pathetic. You cannot find games as fully comprehensive, complete and fulfilling as the ones just mentioned (among many others). Mario, Zelda and Metroid...yeah they are cool, but there is NOTHING ELSE. NOTHING at all. Just cheap games for casual gamers. Why do you think Nintendo was in such a crisis recently? The "can Mario Kart 8 save Nintendo?" headlines. Remember that? That there is proof that Mario IS Nintendo, and without it, it will die a quick, painful death.
I understand Nintendo, I understand it well and am not consumed by blind fanboi-ism. Those are the facts I have mentioned, you cannot dispute them.
Thanks for the private e-mail by the way, however I do not do online dating.
@Bigtakilla Just telling you how it is based on acute observation. It's OK, keep playing Mario
@Nev3rtime I was at my local shopping centre today and checked out 2 different gaming stores. For the WiiU, all I could see was Mario, Zelda, and a bunch of D grade Anime games, as well as multiplats such as CoD, and AC.
The 3DS didn't fare much better: Pokémon, Mario and Zelda (as well as the typical D grade anime, kids/learning games). I really couldn't see much else that was on offer that a gamer might want to play and enjoy.
I'm being as unbiased as possible here, and I admit that all consoles need their exclusives; Xbox needs Halo and Gears of War and Sony needs Uncharted and The Last of Us. Aside from those games, there are still a wealth of other games worth playing that are worth playing (indie and multiplates). Nintendo are in a different category however. I still firmly believe that Nintendo exclusives are much more valuable to Nintendo....Without the support of Mario/Zelda, there really isn't much....at all, judging by what I saw on offer, and what I know is out there (I keep track of gaming news just about everyday, so i'm not oblivious to what the WiiU offers) there is nothing of interest to anyone who considers themselves above casual gaming. As for the colour palette, well you are kinda right there. Nintendo is a more family orientated console, and does feature heavier saturation and purposefully more colourful and cartoony graphics...it's a bit like comparing a story book to a novel. The use of colour for the games on each respective console is relevant and purposeful.
Consoles aren't all about FPS like you. Apart from Halo, I do not really play any FPS other than Bioshock, Half Life and Wolfenstein (all games you cannot get on the Wii). What games on WiiU come close to giving such complete gaming experiences that you see on games like Mass Effect, Elder Scrolls and the Witcher? (a few examples) - games which offer engaging stories, interesting characters, excellent graphics, fun gameplay and excellent sound design. Mass Effect 3 on WiiU does not count as it the watered down version of the last game in a trilogy. Not worth playing on it's own.
I'll repeat that I don't have anything strictly against the games on WiiU, it's the fact that the choice of games are so very restricted to the casual/family/kid gamer. If Nintendo had a console with more power and more variety, then the completion would be less relevant than what it is now. However, with 3 consecutive console failures, I believe it's too late.
@dani_i89 Sorry, dani... but your inferior comment and hatred to Nintendo makes you more of a flaming d-bag.
@dani_i89 You really are ignoring Wii U games for 2015. Case in point-- Devil's Third (rated M), Splatoon, and (one of the best JRPG ever made) Xenoblade Chronicles X.
@Bigtakilla @dani_i89 The Witcher, The Last of Us and Mass Effect set the standard in story telling in games. Halo and Half-Life set the standard in shooters. The Elderscrolls set the standard in huge, open world games which gives the player complete freedom. These are all vastly different games, yet they all have 1 thing in common: they are all available on consoles (REAL consoles, not WiiU). What has Nintendo excelled in? If your answer is selling out to the mainstream/casual/adolescent crowd, then you are right for once.
Now, don't go saying "oh, but we have Bayonetta and Devils's Third" as a way of saying that those games are solid completion for the above mentioned. That's absolutely beyond laughable. The games I mentioned are "mainstream" to you simply because they are critically acclaimed, and rightfully so. Those games earned their popularity.
I don't play CoD or Battlefield. Nor do I have any interest in Destiny or any other multiplayer game. There are a few generic titles on PS and Xbox, you are right there. However, what I also have is CHOICE to play other great, innovative titles that I haven't mentioned. Choice is something Nintendo simply does not have.
Remember when "Mario Kart is set to save the WiiU"? Remember those headlines. Proof that Nintendo's success strictly lies only in Mario. Aside from Mario, and Zelda (2 great IP's), there is absolutely nothing left, and I cannot be any more literal than that.
It is clearly irrefutable that Nintendo is now a joke: it has been since the Gamecube, however the joke has been getting worse. Don't bother replying, you have nothing to come back with. Enjoy your watered down games on a power-less, watered down console with exceptionally limited choice, topped off with a horrible controller.
@tdawgg30 Devils third..meh. Splatoon? You're shooting yourself in the foot there. Xenoblade looks kind of, sort of ok...although it's a JRPG, so bleh..
@dani_i89 @Bigtakilla And you enjoy an overhyped system with mediocre games with no vision of deviating off of a very beaten path and remasters to somehow justify a purchase of a console that will offer nothing more than what you already experienced a thousand times over. Congrats, and enjoy your shooters. (Lol)
I would prefer remasters of classic games on their 10 year anniversaries instead of rehashing the same 2 IP's for 30 years. Enjoy your 2D platforming exclusivity. Ryse is probably the best looking game to date, the graphics are amazing. Mass Effect is probably the best story-telling game to date. The graphics, sound and gameplay are also amazing. Halo is the shooter of the decade. Yes, it's a shooter, and it's still amazing. I rarely play shooters on consoles, yet I've had many hours of fun. You can't overhype innovation in gameplay and technological advancement. It's all clearly there.
I'm really, super curious as to what you find a compelling, complete and innovative experience on Nintendo. The system offers worse graphics than last gen consoles, and the controller is god-awful.
