Battlefield Hardline - New Hotwire and Rescue Modes Plus Single Player Breakdown
Aaron and Ryan break down Hotwire and Rescue multiplayer, and take a look at the extensive single-player demo from Gamescom 2014.
It's actually smarter for "right-wingers" to see a right-wing nutjob character in their game as opposed to showing them easy target left-wing nutjob characters. At least a conservative could say, I'm not crazy like "that guy".
Also I don't think anybody will ever spend time on smart A.I. I think that is the real problem with campaigns at the moment. Next gen graphics and frames, but 1st grade enemies.
I'm really excited for this. I love that they are bring in more and diverse game modes. I feel that is what Battlefield needs. Heck that is what most if not every game needs. Have a specific game mode but then add some other cool features. Ever since I started playing battlefield I have had a hard time going to any other fps because no other is as intense. The only thing I wanted more from Battlefield was more game modes. The frostbite game engine is amazing and it should be used in a bunch of different ways.
Having "right wing extremists" in a game will turn me away no more than having a passive aggressive tree f*cking hippie antagonist would turn Ryan away. No matter the viewpoint, I would hope by now we're all used to the media outlets only highlighting the absolute worst of either side.
2:00 - But there are rednecks that hate other rednecks - it's still demographic compatible, bullet point wise? ;)
4:03 - You cannot say bad things about single player campaigns, unless you played them: bad, bad 'video game journalist' wannabe. I played them. I can say bad things about them.
As always, I'm quite uninterested by the campaign. but - as per previous games - I expect there'll be unlockables available as an incentive. Looking forward to seeing that Visceral will do with this
Anyone have a link for the full EA press conference that's not IGN, their's is all stuttering during the DA part so I didn't bother trying to go further plus that's the main thing I want to see?
I'm glad someone mentioned that the player was standing out in the open taking fire and it seemed to be not a big problem. We see that kinda thing in shooters all the time for ages now and yes it's just taking the un-realism too far :).
@sethfrost Yeah, the whole "standing out in the open taking bullets" comment about the campaign is moot because you don't want to demo a game where the player repeatedly dies because of crushing realism. The game will no doubt have a realistic campaign, but I always look forward to the campaign portions for it's slight suspension of realism anyway.
@hystavito It was a GAMEPLAY demo. It's purpose is to briefly highlight the gameplay options of the game, that is all.
@STrugglingFool Good for you?
