Battlefield 4: Your Commander
If you haven't played commander mode, then you're missing out. We show you what the commander has to offer including how to crate a man to death.

Commander Mode needs to be more useful. Right now, it's still not as valuable as having another set of boots on the ground. It's really only an asset if everyone has mics on and the Commander is verbally coordinating attacks, but I have yet to actually see that in a match.
I don't have this game on PC and I don't own a tablet, so I can't play this mode. They should've made this playable on consoles too
I have BF4 for PC and have had little to no problems with it for the past 2-3 months. I have no idea why people are having problems with the game.
no, cause its already struggle enough gettn into a server without stuck on connecting. And the best comander mode was in BF2.
I had absolutely no idea what was going on for most of that video. I tried commander mode for a while on xbox one and hardly any of those options presented themselves. Pretty much the only effective thing I could do was UAV scans near objectives. I just gave up and decided it's probably best to leave it to someone who knows what they are doing.
Battlefield 4 hardly ever works. I dont know what to do with it now. I mean, I want to like it, but its not the same now. I also have an xb1 which has problems of its own.
i wont play that, till ive unlocked all the useful items.. im not good to anyone if i cant drop uav's or cruise missals... was better on 2142 anyway!..
Ps4 depends what game u play i had it since day 1 got fed up with all bugs losein game save crashing online been kick out of a game it was just a mess got fed up with it
I usually don't like to compare BF to CoD, I own both, but it seems I've enjoyed BF4 way more this time than CoD.
Trust me the game is not "broke". Its the funniest next gen game out right now. Every game has bugs, no big deal. Its not unplayable
What system? No problems to be found for me on my PS4 besides sometimes being kicked out a server...But rarely (for me atleast)
No thanks not missing out on the mess that bf is online what a joke iv trade mine in after waitin and waiting to fix the dam game
Well, i've enjoyed it when i'm away from home. I still not getting the whole, the game is broke people complain. But i guess I'm the minority.
In my opinion you aren't missing out on much. I tried it yesterday and didn't really like it. What kept pissing me off is my cursor thing would keep snaping to either squads or conquest points. it was very rare i could move it around without it snapping to something

i wish they would take that HUGE heavy enemy presence nearby window off the middle of the players screen, annoying. also, make it so there has to be 2 commanders at the same time, not one sided if you dont have one.
Indeed, I would say here if there is anything that Battlefield could concentrate more on, it's the strategic map-wide gameplay.
Anything to have the franchise going away from the usual squad- or individual-based tactics.
Unless they want points, most people won't listen to commander because is there is no real incentive to actually win rounds of battlefield. People play to get KDR or just for fun, most people don't play for the objectives in my experience. If they added ranked matchmaking or something this might change.
the ineptitude of those dull unassuming snipers make Tomahawk kills comically easier than should be.... i got 7 kills in one Tomahawk once....
Oh and it's better if you get to know the map and how things can evolve by playing as a soldier. That way you'll know what positions are the most strategic ones and which ones to attack first.
I tried commander mode once in Siege of Shanghai and I was lucky that most people were following my commands, attacking where needed, defending where needed and larger squads reinforcing the smaller ones, It really can make a big difference, the opposite side had no commander and they were only able to hold a single position for any significant amount of time.
So if there is a decent commander and people actually playing as team it makes a big difference.
Wow, that's a really good explanation of Commander. I'm honestly too scared to try it out, but maybe now I will. As frustrating as all the bugs are, this really is one of my favorite games.
beautifully said.. this needs to be everyones attitude in bf. game has changed because the players have, and not for the better. i remember when people used to work as a team waaay back when.
@Baconelite very true. that's why I don't play commander any more.
