Battlefield 4 - Fishing in Baku Interview
Patrick Bach discusses how Battlefield 4's single player campaign was influence by multiplayer.
I cant wait for this :P bf4 is gonna be awesome :D
It would be nice if it had a coherent story in SP. BF3 was like a book with 30 chapters but only 1, 5, 12, 13, 18, and 29 were complete at release time. It looked sloppy and hastily thrown together, except for the opening scenario ( which was the original game play trailer ) which, like this - looked great in the early trailer.
I would rather see the next Bad Company.
I remember when DICE always said they waited 4 or 5 years for technology to really advance a lot before releasing a new main BF entry because they wanted to push the limits and make it a huge improvement over the previous one.
And now, 2 years later when it gets released, the game's graphics look very very similar, its still in a modern time setting, with no bad company or 2143 in the middle.
Looks like EA might be finally succeeding in turning BF into COD, i wouldn't be surprised if BF5 releases a year or two after BF4.
Pro: Single-player is a nice 3-4 hour campaign usually
Multi-player is usually fun, has destructive environments, bigger maps, vehicles, etc, needs a little reinventing though.
Cons: EA haaha, no but really...
too soon after BF3 release idk if they can or will do too much differently.
awesome looking game the lighting was so much more realistic. it is better looking than bf 3. maby not a lot better but it douse look better.
If the ps4 or xbox720 can run this on the pc equivalent of high (i'm assuming ultra settings would be impossible) then I'll be pleased
@yeah_28 Maybe they might have felt like they didnt do their best in certain aspects of the game and had a lot of good ideas on how to improve those parts of the game thus making them want to make a new game to give to the public. Oh and i'm pretty sure EA has nothing to do with the making of the game they just publish it, Dice makes the game. So i doubt it would be EA's idea to make BF4.
@BovineDivine Good chance the PS4 could run it on Ultra as well, you just wouldn't get 100 FPS like some gaming rigs.
@ricocs i agree it is BF 3.5
@ricocs my thoughts exactly... doesn't look that much better than BF3... particles are up. but that's about it.
cod syndrome? then again frostbite was made for next gen, so the reason that we don't see much difference, is probably because BF3 on PC was nextgen. still if this is PS4/nextbox multiplatform.. then think about how the exlusives on PS4 will look. not to hate on the Xbox, but PS bring out some awesome looking games on 7 year old hardware...
But i really really hope you're right, and we see actual gameplay improvements and ideas, thats what i care most about, i just care about the graphics cause BF3 didnt improved much since BF2 in a lot of aspects so i expected an audiovisual jump, but maybe they'll get it this time
@netter99 @chrisbritt45 @M3o5nster @BovineDivine first off we don't know how much the ps4 is going to cost. secondly how do u know its outdated we don't even know its true specs. we still wont know till e3 eather. I know its going to be a very powerful system. more powerful than most computers. u may be able to buy stuff that will make a " good gameing rig" but we will see how it stacks up once it comes out. that's all we can do is wait
