I hope they are backing off from their idea that every class should be able to take out a MBT by default. It kind of ruins the vehicle balance when every person on the field has a way to take one down.
I understand one or two classes being able to, but not beyond that. If people want to anti-tank, they should have to spawn as a certain class or two.
Looks pretty good on PC but, I wonder how it will translate on console. The guy player shouldn't be playing sniper. lol. How can you miss a headshot on a stand still target. Still, it is pretty cool to see RECON using C4??? Isn't that a spec for the Support class?
It would have been awesome if the Assault and Engineer class were shown. Also, PTFO and spot the enemy players. The better coordinated team will always win.
I hope they tweaked with the scope glare, I understand it is needed to spot snipers easily...but it was way overkill in BF3. Seeing scope glare inside a building made no sense lol
well last year I skipped bo2 for moh war fighter and this year I will skip cod ghost for bf4.idk why activision is using shitty engine which is 8 or 7.well bf4 all da way
Its the mini map bottom left that lights up like a xmas tree that says 'enemy shoot here and enemy I am here',that needs to go to improve battlefield.
What is the quality like from this to lets say to next gen consoles. Also I want to start seeing next gen comparisons of the same game. apparently the PS4 is just as easy to program for but has that 50% better performance I just want to know if third party developers are taking advantage of that,
Nothing but a 60 bucks glorified expansion.
And wait until they release a 40 bucks premium package and another 60 bucks battlefield 5 using the same engine and basically adding features that should have been already included in BF3 and that were included in BF2, such as squads and commander mode (yeah... im so sure that it is sooooooooo complex and that they took 50 programers for 10 years to code it.)
I expected little from EA... but shame on you, DICE.
@ShoTTyMcNaDeS It's PC. Look at the guy the standing in front. You can see him moving a mouse around. And they are standing, you can see them shifting weight from side to side.
@ShoTTyMcNaDeS What makes you say that?
@silversix_ Can't agree more, recon class in BF3 was garbage. It seems they bringing back C4; besides that, i don't see any changes from BF3.
@Manji14 they do
@Sturm_ng actually, if you go back in BF games C4 was not on the support class. idk how far that went back in BF games at least from Bad Company 2
@Doldrummer they were on medium high settings not ultra extreme
@netter99 Yeah, a sniper with a FoF like that should = all enemies dead. Some of that looked like lack of skill though. maybe the rest was bullet drop.
@netter99 yea that definitely should've been a headshot
@HapiJoel looked more like a shoulder shot to me...and not sure how far away that is but might of had a minor amount of bullet drop.
@TakosKon yah but I dont want to have to play hardcore to get one shot kills
@TakosKon That's why youre supposed to play hardcore
Because they are going to milk the old engine until they release a new engine with a new game for new gen. EA/DICE are doing the same with Battlefield/Frostbyte, I find funny that you find BF4 such a good product in the same post that you critizise CoD when it is a copy of the system that CoD has been using all these years (milk the same game), the only difference being that CoD started doing that earlier so their engine is older. The next Battlefields will probably BF3 spin-offs.
Right now, Battlefield seems to be aiming to become the same shit CoD has been all this years, just because it is profitable.
In a few years you comment's equivalent will be "I don't think i'll be buying CoD this month" =)
@nicolasetespqr yeah don't buy it stay with ur shiity cod.
@nicolasetespqr dude are u frkinn kidding me....every single COD game is wot u just described in ur opinion....oh wait that's right they added a dog this time and some fish yeh that's a sick $110 expansion.......but wait that should have been included in blops or blops2 or mw or mw2 lol
@nicolasetespqr just like every FPS title....
@nicolasetespqr Don't buy it.
@Kooken58 @HapiJoel Not sure what you meant, but what I meant was that he's not spotting enemies for his team, just trying to gun them down.
@nicolasetespqr @DevilArK1993 Not only that, but at least the campaign/story in COD is enjoyable. The battlefield series has never delivered on a campaign. And yes, 3 years from now, BF7 fans will still be complaining about COD while they turn a blind eye to BF adding a dog to it's campaign... But i enjoy both games multiplayer wise so i'll be dealing with both developers BS this holiday season!
Why everytime someone gives a bad opinion about a game the usual bunch of idiots assumes that he is a fanboy of the opposite franchise?
I have never bought a CoD game, i have played all Battlefields and own 3 of them, i am a complete fan of the series and still i can allow me to be negative towards them because they are turning one of my favourite game series into a whorehouse (just as most other companies).
Yes, CoD is crap, and Battlefield is trying to copy CoD, not because its better but because its way more profitable and succesful, and thats why it is getting worse every year.
And really, stop being so fucking hard-headed about people's opinions.
I'll do as it pleases me and I am entitled to express my opinion.
People like you just state the obvious pretending to be badasses behind a screen+keyboard shield, but some others might find it helpful, or just reassuring in their opinions. You could ask... why on earth would people want to feel reassured by some random guy in the internet? Well... seeing that the overexcited hype-swallowing (OMFG INSTABUY!) masses are the vast majority in here... it is nice to know that you are not alone out here and that there are some other reasonable people who might or might not agree with you, but who are reasonable after all, and can actually bring arguments to the table... that's enough for me.
I just feel like the overhyped comments need to be brought down to earth, so that even if they decide to keep their opinions/purchase decissions about the new games and consoles, they do it in a reasonable way.
@nicolasetespqr @AkAunknown Medal of Honor, allied assault brings back some great nostalgia...For its time it had some amazing graphics and was very immersive...especially that first time storming the beaches.
Ill Give Dice my money this time for BF4, but if the next Battlefield doesnt atleast offer some Modding and something more than BF3.5, Then I guess its off to find another franchise...its starting to look like they are going to milk it as well...such a shame.
BF has always been about multiplayer and CoD about the amazing scripted singleplayer campaigns (i remember playing the early Medal of Honor and CoD 1 WW2 campaigns when i was younger and they were the shit... i remember when we got to play Saving Private Ryan in MoH:AA, everyone was amazed).
BF campaigns are CoD wanabe shits. And despite its success... CoD multiplayer is nothing but Counter Strike with shiny graphics and perks. BF multiplayer is much better and also more unique.
Btw, it seems to me that the CoD series are running out of ideas for their campaign.
Well you said you are going to buy BF4 (and even I am considering it, despite all the criticism, depends on how much they bring to the table), so i'd say they are far from doomed. In fact, the sad reality is that, even when BF is much better than CoD, CoD makes a lot (shitolads of) more money than BF, and either Activision or EA won't give a shit about if the game is a bit better as far as it is more profitable.
EA/DICE are going to earn much more money with this strategy.
@nicolasetespqr @DevilArK1993 haha sorry didn't saw comment :P my bad .well tbh im also playin bf series from bf bad company tbh that game made me to upgrade rig and etc. but after cod mw2 every cod released just disspointed me .well after that I never bought any cod series from bo2 just bought moh 2010,bf3,moh warfighter .and yeah ur right EA is tryin copy paste I,e cod .but tbh if they doin same shit all over again I guess they are doomed .
I'm fine with the graphics, but it is not like they have revolutionized the gameplay or added a lot of new features...
It is bascially BF3 with features that BF2 or BC2 already had... plus new maps... BF3 got 4 new maps or so with each dlc...
It is not the first time i see this strategy, and that's why i feel so sure about my assesment. I'm sure they could have just added commander mode and squads in BF3 and they had it on the table, they just felt that they were giving us too much and that they could milk us even more if they included those features in a different game, which is BF4.
The enviroment is not more destructible. It was as destructible in BC2, then they toned it down in BF3, and now it is back to BC2 levels (in a larger scale, but whatever). And thats preciselly what gets me mad... that you guys see it as a gap, as an improvement over BF3, when actually it was a gap they articifially created by getting BF3 rid of those features that already existed in previous games...
About the story... BF1942 had no story, BF2 had no story, BF has a crap CoD wanabee story (for what im told) that i have not even touched in my 100hours with BF3. Battlefield is all about multiplayer, story is not a selling point to me at all.
As always, i hope DICE proves me wrong in the end... but for what i have seen so far, i was expecting A LOT more from them.
It's like they have put a lot of effort into an engine (frostbyte) that EA can use for all its games, but no effort at all into the game itself.
@nicolasetespqr Not a badass of any sort, also stating an opinion, suggestion if you will. Not even a massive fan of the Battlefield series or the CoD series.
Though, I think your assessment of this game is a little harsh. Most game developers are not pushing higher fidelity graphics because they don't need to, further more you sacrifice some of that graphical power because they're made the environment more destructible hence why it does seem as much as gap between the last game and this one. Moreover it seems like they put more development into the story mode of the game.
I don't care for hype either and it's not a must buy for me. I understand what you're saying but even over hyped comments are opinions... so yeah.
