everyone should play this game on a good gaming PC on ultra settings and see if they really think this games graphics don't destroy anything COD has done including MW3
I am blown away when people complain about the graphics of this game. I own it for PC only... (the only real way to play this game is on a good gaming PC.) It hands down has the best graphics i have seen on any game period on ultra settings. but i have played with my friends on xbox and its still better graphics then MW3. i love call of duty games also but his game for PC is the best on the market and the best multi-player fps by far.
The PS3 game is pretty good as stated by many but there are some notable issues. The gunplay isn't that great and the feel still falls behind COD. Graphics are not that spectacular (lots of jagged edges and squared circles) and clipping can be terrible at times. But the 2 inexcusables here are the terrible deathmatch re-spawn points that can plant you 10 feet in front of an enemy (this happens at the begining of a match, too. Why aren't the teams grouped away from each other for the start of a match??) and the inability to change loadouts while waiting in the lobby between matches. Changes are in-game only. Terrible. Even worse is you can't even quit out of a lobby between matches. Quitting is from in-game only, too. Half-baked and released WAY too soon before proper development in time for the holidays and to beat MW3 to the punch.
hmm I dont trust Gamespot any more ever since that "incident" a few years ago. this review seems WAY too harsh. the games amazing graphics engine and insane multiplayer easily makes it deserve a 9.
@ duderdave That guy didn't drop down and shoot through a mound of dirt. He dropped down and he happened to be on top of what seems like gas canisters (1:28). If he were just prone the gas canister wouldn't have obstructed his view but because he put out his bipod and was lower to the ground, his gun was inside the gas canister.
well just watched the p.c review and it says the games let down by the single player missions that the settings are familiar and similar to other war shooter well deh it's a war games set in present day it's not reinventing the wheel and obviously the settings will look familiar to other games you can't suddenly be flying a rockt in space or shooting lasers in volcanic settings that wouldn't be realistic to what it's trying to be anyway who buys battlefield for the single player anyway the multiplayer is the reason i'll buy it and why i've stuck with it in the past.
Did anyone notice a little "clipping" in the video? One example, the guy moves up to get the target in his sights, then drops back down, effectively shooting "through" a foot high mound of dirt in in front of him, but he still gets a kill.
Every time I knife someone I literally jump out of my chair in excitement. There is no more satisfying experience in Battlefield 3. It's small details like this that make Battlefield 3 great.
@Battlefield53 I have to admit I don't like the support guns much, I love the AEK971 with Iron Sights....oh I made good friends with that gun during the BETA....
Im sory but that is by far, the most, cheap gun in this whole game. Im sorry, people might thinks it's just because i suck but, seriously screw that gun!
