Are they still talking about adding another squad to each team on the consoles? If 16v16 is still in the works then I'll buy premium for 360 but if not then I'm switching to PC.
I don't get why people are comparing this to COD just because it has CQB im sorry but CQB situations come up often in real life and if you have a good group of players you can do room clearences which is awesome I like big battles dont get me wrong. But the worst thing about battlefield for me is unlocks as it ruins the game I personally think that unlocks should all be cosmetic as it makes it impossible to be on fair common ground things like using a light machine gun with a silencer or using a bolt action rifle with a holographic scope are what is wrong with the game as it no longer makes players think about classes. It is worst for vehicles as things like reactive armour and proximity scanner having to unlock radar for jets and etc make it impossible to play this game if you have not spent loads of time using that particular vehicle of class I do however like the premium pack as it is good value for money to be honest what is an extra £34 quid for a year the fact that it is going to EA doesnt bother me as if it wasnt them it would be someone else.
I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with close quarter combat gaming, but I do not play Battlefield for that and will not pay 50 bucks for that option. It is perfectly fine if others want that, but give me more vehicles, bigger maps, and more players! I want to see World War being brought to the online community!
so I would be saving only $10? (already have BtK) hmm.... it doesnt sound all that great. with that money I could buy at least two games I have been waiting for their price to drop, just saying EA can and should do a little better than this.
I laugh at the COD fanboys saying this is a copy of Elite...Premium gives you much more bang for you buck. Sure, Elite might be cool for your video editing and stat tracking, but for a YEARLY subscription fee of $50 and all you get GAMEPLAY wise is just map packs (and only map packs) is just sad. With Premium, there is a ONE TIME fee of $50 and you get map packs...which include more then just copy and paste levels like COD. You also get assignments to unlike more guns/specilizations, and more...So overall, the COD fans can have fun paying a YEARLY $50 subscription for recycled maps and video editing tools. XD
We all know how the game is meant to be played. With that said, it's good to see them getting feedback in a way from the way other players that migrate from call of duty like to play. Close quarters or not, the game is still amazing and fun to play
It's funny people hate so much on DLC content costing anything but Free but when u look at how this industry is going u better get used to it! If you want your developers to stay in business and keep supporting your game then pay for the DLC. Helps keep your game fun and fresh.
Well then.... I guess I'm okay with what I've got so far. I paid for the Limited Edition, played the crap out of it, leveled up, gained cool upgrades and weapons, then EA sells all that for the lazy snots to get ahead. Now this.
@ZombieReaper33 No this isn't loyalty, my friend. What are you loyal to, DICE or EA? If you're loyal to DICE then you would've recognized that Battlefield 3 is now EA's money cow, and you would've stopped playing BF3 the minute weapons and perks became purchasable, what was the point of unlockables in the first place? I'm sorry but you're being deceived, Battlefield is no longer going to be Battlefield from here on out, what use to be large scale battle is now shrunken linear combat with a decreased amount of vehicles (as for the new map packs no vehicles at all). The minute DICE developed Frostbite 2, EA has used it to sugar coat almost all of its future releases, its as if they think graphics are the main selling point of a game. Sadly, DICE only the sheep to EA shepherd.
@Paintballa Pal you have a small brain if you can really think this angle.EXACTLY, because there are idiots like YOU who encourage this, greedy companies like EA exist and they are milking DiCE. Except tha cow has its share of milk ;) . I guess you are a teenager who didn;'t know that all DLCs must be free. ALL add-ons , in the 90's were FREE !. That's the way they have to be today !
@Paintballa You're telling me that a combination of one of the largest developers and publishers is going to go out of business if you don't purchase their over priced DLC? If Battlefield was developed and maintained by a smaller independent company that hardly was pushing over 300 employees then yes, I would see why purchasing DLC would be an act of support but this is DICE and EA, EA alone makes billions just for their logo on a game, how much you figure they make annually just off of Madden?
@Sergeant_ Dude, DICE is EA company, wholly owned. Stop divideing BF3 on DICE or EA... this is all Electronic Arts.
I'm not convinced that DLC's should be free of charge but there IS room for a significant reduction. I definitly believe that corporations today are using the exaggerated, fluctuating economy to fabricate a financial instability. They create this illusion to justify the absurd marketing structure.
