This game is going to be AWESOME, a bigger map, taller buildings, new gadgets, new enemies, the joker comes back. For sure another 9/10 or 10/10 game, for me Arkham Asylum was 9/10 and Arkham City 10/10. They changed Batman and Joker voices but for what I have heard they are good too. This is by far the BEST superhero game there is.
i just LOOOOVE the arkham games, but even i gotta say, am kinda skeptical. there's a 50/50 it's good or bad
I LOVE Batman (I had Batman and Catwoman on top of my wedding cake) and the first two Arkham games were two of my favourites of all time... but I have serious doubts about this game.
The new moves they've added don't seem to flow and overall the graphics just don't look as polished as what Rocksteady achieved. Plus the new gadget makes little sense as a tool and way overpowered for predator scenarios. But the new investigative stuff looks ace and I like the time setting with Bats as an urban myth. Overall I'm getting the feeling this was rushed out by Warner Brothers as another cash-in.
Colour me 'meh' for the time being.
i was kinda iffy on this, at first, since i would've preferred a sequel to Arkham City, not a prequel to the series and its not even being made by Rocksteady but this is actually shaping up to be a pretty awesome game! It looks like its living up to the Arkham series. Same combat and gameplay to the the previous games. Its something Rocksteady would be proud of and they did help a bit in making this game. The voice cast is also awesome! I am really excited for this game! Cant wait!!
TONS of respect towards you guys: i am super glad that i pre ordered this because to me it looks utterly amazing... i really do LOVED the first 2 and the 3rd one I am going to LOVE as much as I loved the first two... I REALLY do APOLOGY if i made people mad by saying that... I am TRYING my HARDEST to be RESPECTFUL to each and everyone of you because I respect you guys' opinions and comments..
Seems to much like Arkham City in graphics... Story is preety good, as new Joker, but I don't know, I have a bad feeling about this...
I was completely and totally blown away by Arkham City. They will deliver in this game, I guarantee it.
Couldn't see anything new. If they make the Batsy a little more bulky, soon we'll think he's Bane. He should be a bit more skinny with military material like in the Trilogy. He's a sneaky character, sort of ninja, so why so Bulky?
Okay. I was having some doubts since Rocksteady wasn't part of this and the multiplayer, but this might actually pull through. Good voice acting so far.
'' Nice of you to drop in!''lame voice butI believe that WB did a very good job here! I cant wait!!!Some poeple that they were saying that they wont buy this game need to see this trailer :)
Arkham Origins is set years before AA/AC, Year Two of Bruce being The Dark Knight. While I too am a fan of KC and MH for their voice portrayals of Batman and Joker going all the way back to Batman: TAS, I understand the logic of getting good voice actors who'll give both characters a younger sound and vibe.
Is the voice over for batman the same? In other words, from batman animated series? If not... well i dunno.. =(
Mark Hamill isn't the joker. And if this is Next Gen... I'm not impressed. And Mark Hamill isn't the joker.
this game is prequel to arkham asylum, that means at the end the joker will be shown and we will be taking him to asylum.. just my guess , looks good ...
That fight on the rooftop at 01:05 looked like it had a thug who was countering Batman's attacks. If so, this should make fights much more interesting. :D
Also, the new voice actors aren't that bad to be fair. Yeah, there's a difference but it's not jarringly so.
WTF? Did Batman actually kill that guy he dropped off the roof?! I have to admit, I'm kind of hoping that the gameplay is changed slightly after watching this trailer. If being hunted can be translated into the game and be more than simply a plot-device, I think that'd be pretty damn cool.
Holly crap!!!! My gaming year is going apocalyptic with this release!! I was massively disappointed with the recent Batman movies. Why couldn't they have been as good as the Arkham trilogy?
@Vandread25 Because it is. This game is for the current gen
@jookiyaya It is not the same, meaning neither Kevin Conroy (Batman) nor Mark Hamill (Joker) will reprise their roles in Batman Arkham Origins. However, they have been replaced with voice actors that will portray the younger versions of their characters, as Origins is set years before Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. It's story-accurate, and you have to admit that the new actors do a pretty good job.
@mr_azim It's not next gen.
But I wonder why they felt the need to change the actors at all? Especially if they're bringing in actors who sound close to the real thing.
@PlatinumPaladin Nah batman doesn't kill...but that doesn't mean criminals are given a slap on the wrist either.
@nanquan72 How do I ban you from the internet?
@FojMohsin This game's a prequel to Arkham Asylum, so the Joker could show up in this one too.
@wasakawaka From what little understanding I have of the situation, Conroy is working on Rocksteady's next Batman game while Hamill said he was flat-out done voicing The Joker. Still a shame on both counts.
