I think that your objective is the bat-signal so if you want to do a mission just look for the signal
@bobmcfree & Arch-Stanton you guys got it backwards batman had all the cool gadgets including the zipline and grapple way before that dude from just cause ripped off the idea
@KoLd_ChiLLz SWEET! Thanks, man. My subscription to GI expired a couple months ago and I haven't renewed it.
@Bobmcfree I just received my most recent Game Informer yesterday and they did give it a 10/10 in the reviews section.
Why does gamespot show that gameinformer.com has a review (10/10) already when gameinformer doesn't have it shown at its own site?
Wow Batman Arkham City looks amazing, fantastic, awesome release date can't come fast enough for me day one buy for sure. Batman Arkham City is already game of the year in my book. It better be game of the year if it is not and same exclusive game is I am going to be very pissed off.
My ONLY complaint is that there needs to be more batmobile. Though am not that bothered about it really.. Game is gonna be awesome though.
I just read (gagdet spoiler) that you can tie up an enemy w/ your "bat-rope." I hope this not only includes their whole body, but also tie up their legs or leg, then trip them to the ground or up into the sky.
Anyone see in IGN.com that the Batman Arkham games writer (Paul Dini) is eyeing on a Superman game? What's your thought?
@Bobmcfree The grapple in Just Cause is a great gadget you'l love it.It's totally worth ripping off for Batman. I agree more nifty gadgets in Batman the better.
@Arch-Stanton haha, i didn't think of that. That's true! I only played a little bit of Just Cause 2, 'cause my friend is borrowing it. I should charge him. Haha just kidding...I borrow from him too.
I've seen several videos posted from different websites, and have seen a few of the new batman gadgets along with the ones used in the previous game. One of the workers for the batman game said there will be a total of 12 gadgets. I was hoping for more, like 20 lol.
@ResponsibleGame sweet! Thanks for the info. I like to go to gameinformer.com to check up on the reviews. And try out gametrailers.com.
@Bobmcfree ( and all of you of hyped gamers out there ) - I know your excited for this game and although most reviews for the game may be published 2-3 days prior to the game's release , GamesMaster has already released the very first review- 97%!!!!!
I hope this game is rated at LEAST a 9 (out of 10). If it gets 9.5 or more, I'll be thrilled! If it gets a 10, I'll go insane!
Man this is the 3rd time Gamespot has sent me an Arkham City update and I got excited and saw it was just this same video! Come on guys! BTW I'm not even seeing a lot of gameplay in any kind of steel mill. I see Batman zipping through the night skies like a beast, which is cool, but not what I was lead to believe this video was.
@Bobmcfree I think the big difference is that in the Spider-man games, your web swinging continues automatically until you discontinue it yourself (I could be wrong about later Spider-man games as I haven't played any in a while). In this game, you obviously have to pay some attention to how and where your flying in order to keep doing so, otherwise you'll lose altitude and fall the ground fairly quickly. The fact that you can select where to zip/boost off of next makes you feel far more initiated in the "web swinging" and less auto-pilot.
I wanted to post some new stuff about Arkham City, couldn't think of a better place to do it, so here goes. 1: Nightwing and Mad Hatter are both also in the game. 2: I wonder how many people logging huge hours on Arkham Asylum "Preparing" for Arkham City (I'm logging a lot) 3; I think Rocksteady needs to release free DLC backs once in awhile with new animations for combat. It would keep the game always feeling fresh, therefor keeping people on it.
I can see right now that I'm probably never going to beat this game.... I'm going to spend way too much time just traveling around the city fooling around. Preordering on payday!
does anyone know if theres a free roam on this one? always thought it be good to have abit of gta style mode where you can protect the city and do all different things etc. ( arkham city looks really worth a play )
Web-swinging in Spiderman games was fun, but to me it got a little old. Was it because Spiderman wasn't as close to the screen (bigger to the eye) as they have Batman in the arkham games? And the zipping and flying with batman looks a lot more fun!
