Shaun and Kevin review what they know about this newly announced Assassin's Creed game.
Did you enjoy this video?
Each AC title had it's own charms and drawbacks. I still enjoy playing them all, even the first one. It's like an old friend.
IMO the most complete in terms of gameplay, story, etc. was II. Loved the bombs in Revelations. Introduction of naval battles in III with improvements in IVBF were so much fun. Can't wait to do more in Rogue.
Liked the concept of training recruits in Brotherhood, but went way overboard in Revelations, too busy.
With Rogue, it's going to be strange playing as a Templar and killing Assassins. It will feel like the world is up-side-down.
Sometimes I feel that the extra-story metagames become too big for the story to handle. In II the story was massive so the extra stuff didn't feel so intrusive. I'll be interested to see how Ubisoft handles things in the upcoming titles.
There's not really a good reason to believe this series is going into the gutter. AC1, AC2, and ACB were all great games. We hit a rocky road with ACR and the series undoubtedly dipped with AC3, but it was quickly redeemed with AC4. The basis for saying these next games will suck is solely conjecture. One has a stronger case for saying exactly the opposite, especially considering what we know of ACU.
So basically they decided to kick the horse one more time with the engine they used for Black Flag & hope it coughs up a bit more cash while we wait for Unity.
I was getting pretty sick of the AC franchise but Black Flag was actually fun. Mostly for the stuff that wasn't about being an assassin. I don't know if "make the lead character not an assassin" is taking the right lesson from that though. Black Flag could just have easily not been an AC game, called, 'Ubisoft's Pirates', ditched all the ham-fisted stealth elements & still been a good game. I imagine what they're doing with Rogue is basically putting a snow skin on the last game & cranking out more of the same. Let's be honest this is Ubisoft's Pirates 2: Shooting People in the Snow (also with some parkour & sneaking because, why not?).
My reaction is one of boredom and disinterest.
Havent played Black Flag
AC III was my last ac couple years ago it was an ok game
Man so many AC games now....
How about a black django looking assassin creed game
Black Flag was actually the best AC game so far.
stop making buttcreed game :P
Kevin looks cute as always <3
Sounds more like a money grabber, more so than Unity.
@altairdarius so true bro best game was brotherhood and 2 after that they sucked
Connor sucked. This game will too. It's like Aveline, just telling a story in the story that I don't give a f at all. This bunch of crap are killing AC. They have forgoten what made this game the best. It's not the navy battles neither the rogue characters who never will be competitive against Altair and Ezio. They forgot about the creed, in fact, there isn't a creed at all. There are just some guys wearing the hood and acting on their own. And please don't do that slave saving anymore. Ade and Aveline were a pain in the ass.
kevin always seems angry. dude needs some melatonin in his diet
Why does this game look better than unity ? Better character, better sword, better guns, and better location. What the heck is this pal? and where is the pc version ?
I very for one is excited about this game.
I'll get them both for PC, once they are priced properly for the value they give as compared to the other 5 Asssassins Creed games that play exactly alike, which I can get for $10 each..
Make that 3 since january
This poor IP is getting watered down way to much. They are so greedy they can't even wait a year now.
IS there literally a new assassins creed every 4 months WTF?! I mean literally i just looked in gamespot news and saw a different one called Unity. Enough already, move on with a new game.
Another Assassins Creed?... I thought 1 a year was enough, but 2 a year is overkill
shay has a daughter at the end and its elise. that could also be the reason she is a little sympathetic to the creed. Maybe shay still felt the same way. IDK
no more asscreed :<
Assassin's creed Tattoo?! o.o never knew he had one...
Kevin's pretty cool. I don't know what's Shaun's expertise? Annoyance?
During the 7 Years War (''French and Indian War'') - if I'm not mistaken, that's the same timeline as at the start of AC3, when playing Haytham. This would mean we get to play the part of a Templar executing events that Achilles hints at during dialogues, when the Assassin's Order was nearly wiped out in the colonies. I'm kinda hoping for a young Achilles cameo =P
HE DOES NOT HAVE MY ACCENT! THIS DUDE'S IRISH ACCENT IS JUST THE WORST!
AC II ?
@b0sse The best? I am still doubting what one was worse, III or Black Flag. Imo the 2 worst AC's there are.
Come on, in black flag you're not even an assassin.
@vadagar1 I have a feeling you're a girl..
@Gamer_4_Fun Unity actually looks promising again, for once...
@dodorano @altairdarius Revelations was awesome
I like Connor better than Ezio..he always look like a loyal homeboy kid to me...Ezio is... i dont know..guys spend too much time with ladies and too melodramatic for me...
Connor is actually the biggest and tallest Assasins among them but i love it when he can easily walk in small branch tree without breaking it lol
@altairdarius Well I haven't liked any of them except for Black Flag, despite having played them all, so to each his own.
@altairdarius They could have worked on the creed again if just they have done another game with Edward....
He do become an assassin and starts to care about the creed in the end of AC IV after all.
@brockelley If it actually arrives on PC.
@big_nasty59 thanks for spoilers douchebag
@big_nasty59 SPOILERS DAMNIT
@dannyodwyer That's what happens when you're the only Irish person around :).
@dannyodwyer Don't hate because his is more authentic!
@dannyodwyer Yeah Danny? You didn't think the accent was authentic? What do you mean? haha
@dannyodwyer Aren't there several Irish accents? Like several American and British accents?
@dannyodwyer At least he did not say you had an english accent.
@jemoedr @b0sse You become one instead of being born right inside the brotherhood already.... it was a good change for the series.
No it doesn't
@jemoedr @dodorano @altairdarius
I think that game got a bit of a bad rap. I actually really enjoyed it, though there were just a few things wrong with it.
@Lacarus @dannyodwyer There are, and that is none of them.
@djentmaven @dannyodwyer Danny is Irish?
Yes it does.
@Slinqy @jemoedr @dodorano @altairdarius I wonder why though, the only annoying thing was the tower defence imo, which could easily be avoided after the first time.
@lonelyrockrabbi @Lacarus @dannyodwyer Like most things in popular culture, it's an amalgamation of a few different accents.
