Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag - Pirate Combat Gameplay Trailer
Take to the Seas with Captain Edward Kenway as he loots, plunders, and defeats his enemies.
Well I'm going to raise a few points. I must say that I am impressed by this trailer. It seems to be more open world than ever. If it is as open world and as big as it claims to be then that will definately aid in swerving me back in to favour of the franchise. One concern and it is the biggest concern that one can have is how big a part the actual assassins order plays in the game. From previous news about the game I felt that there was almost nothing about the assassins or assassins feel from the previous games. From this video it almost a feels like there is in fact an assassins feel like in the previous one. I'm hoping that Ubisoft has left out the bit of info bout the Templars and that when you play the game you will see that the whole reason that Kenway is a pirate is for the assassin order. I hope they really integrate the Templars and ancient civilization in the game cus the massive world and many mysterious islands seems as if it could really lend to it in that aspect. The writer did say that it was peanut butter and chocolate so hopefully it is. If anyone knows to what extent the assassin order is apart of the game and what the role is please tell me
I haven't bought an AC since ACII, but this one looks like one I'll be picking up. I love that Ubisoft did something new with the series.
Looks pretty cool...I just wished they'd cut all the synchronize crap, I think this stuff is just ridiculous, sorry.
I agree with some other posts. The assassin clothing looks out of place, would have been better dressed like a pirate. Think they should of started it as a new IP.
which engine is this? i though it was this gen but looking at how detailed the environment is especially the TREE & WATER it looks like next gen.
Game looks amazing. Graphics are tantalizing. But... Still seems to have the same "wash and repeat" mode of previous AC games. That part is getting old and worn out. I'll probably still get this though, just to escape to the Carribean. Although, probably will wait for reduced price point.
Hope they add the holsters for the guns and a sheathe for your sword. It's kind of distracting to seeing them just floating around on his body.
Looks impressive and exotic comparing to the cold boring weather of the previous games.
I hope there will be something new about it, besides the ships and tropical islands..
Ashraf you're amazing :)
They seemed to have learnt a lot from their previous games.. My main issues with AC, however, still come down to the repetitive nature of both the fighting and the missions.. I sadly think this will be the first AC game I miss.. I just cant do the same thing 6 times in a row
navy mission where one of the best elements in ASSASSIN CREED and looking at this game it seems to have improved. also the world looks bigger, better & more alive than any assassin creed. one of my concerns is how well has the sword combat improved? another thing is they seem to be focusing more on pirating than assassinating. but as for now the game looks GREAT!!!!
So, I counted 4 pistols, 2 swords, 2 hidden blades, what looks like a blowpipe, a harpoon, plus a ship full of cannons. Am I the only one who gets the impression this guy is compensating for something?
Looks like the pirate game I've been waiting for.
They should have skipped the AC label but I still want to play it.
Good to see they are taking advantage of the pirate story, raid ships and do what you want while remaining hidden in small villages (Being able to upgrade a pirate ship in a major town doesnt sound right lol). Looks like this will be a blast, literally :P
My only concern is the story element. Since AC III was way wicker than the previous installments, I don't want that to rollover here.
@DigiTMPS3 I agree. While watching the video I was like "Oh man this looks kind of cool" Then I had the realization that this had nothing to do with being an assassin and it brought me down a bit.
Perhaps they should have labeled this as a Templar game or something...so it could be in the same world, but unbound by the Assassin's Creed or anything.
@rafael017xx Think Playstation 4? Only because the PS controls are shown on screen such as X, triangle, Square, and Circle.
@BelaidKL I'm their with you too. They've already fooled me twice (Revelations and 3), I don't want to go for the trifecta.
@Commanche2k5 @BelaidKL It's interesting you say this, because I thought going form ACI to ACII was a pretty big jump with a lot more types of things to do along with varying areas to do them in, and then ACIII was a big jump with even more variation and a bigger world to do it all in. ACIV looks to have an actual open world (something III kind of did, but not really), which is what looks really awesome to me.
@daviz88 They should have made the character look more like a Pirate. Kenway sticks out like a sore thumb, some assassin, pfft!
@daviz88 It does look good, but I'd much rather spend my money on a different franchise. I have played all the AC games and I have noticed a steady decline in quality from AC Brotherhoood to AC III.
@daviz88 It looks out of place in AC III as well.
@aleks_989 If I was Haytham Kenway throughout the entire game I'd probably have enjoyed it much more than being his Son whose character I found very boring.
