So stoked for this. I hope they just stick to the basics like in AC2 and knock out all that other crap and we'll have a masterpiece here.
he is faster, deadlier, stronger and more agile than Ezio.only thing is he lacks Ezio's charisma.Ezio often cracked more jokes.Conner is serious all the time.
Ac2 got me frustrated with the time trial and challenge things. You decline and they still popped up Had nothing to do with the story. Revelations I am still trying to figure out the premis of the game. If I wanted a history lesson I would read a book I want to play a game not sit and read. I will try AC3 if it is like the two I tried I wont buy another one.
@RuthlessRich I found AC: Revelations to be a very poor release. The movement and combat mechanics were clunky and felt more like a start stop strategy game rather than the adventure game I had grown to love from AC and AC2. I felt that the game was rushed to release so it had many bugs and glitches taking away from the immersion the other releases gave. And the art of discretion, from being a strong point in the first games to non existance in revelations. I could go on with more, but I think you get the point. AC: Revelations was a shadow of their previous releases. Hope that answers your question.
Sorry but I dont see anything revolutionary about this game. Sure it will be bigger, better more badas.. AC but thats all. Graphics looks really dated. Low res, low res textures, poor shadows...special FX...there is nothing like special FX in Crysis 1 that pushed our GPU to its limits.
the last bit of gameplay you see at like 06:22 when he get the rope knife thing and pulls him over and then hits him with the tomahawk, lol all he needs to say next is "Get over here!" lol reminds me just a bit of Mortal Kombat
Yay! Cheesy narrator voice, calling yet another game the most anticipated title in history, Ubi you have to be more creative than this... Amazing video when you get past that awful video.
I think its cool and ironic that Connor is half Mohawk and British. Perhaps that will play a part in the story, hopefully. Or maybe, Ubisoft thought it would be OP badass if he was, and doesn't have much to do with the overall story. Oh well guess I'll find out when I buy the game. Muricca.
Masterpiece?Lol. I hope it doesn't end up as an overhype, overrated game with simple tap-button game mechanics. Good details of structures and surroundings but nothing to be explored inside. Like a tasty looking burger sandwich but no burger inside.
the fact that they're pushing this game so hard concerns me, but I'm still optimistic because it LOOKS badass.
this looks awesome! Sure is killing a lot of redcoats though. I thought conor was going to kill enemies on both sides? Maybe americans will be too offended if he does?
I really hope they have returned to the original formula from AC and AC2. If it's anything like AC: Revelations I will be really disappointed.
"it's not something you see a lot of in the history books" WHAT THE **** DO YOU TEACH IN AMERICAN HISTORY CLASSES IF IT ISN'T THE FORMING OF YOUR COUNTRY!!! holy shit that guy should be fired.
Next generation?? This games proves we don't need it yet, as does Last of Us. I'd rather spend my money on games right now.
Good stuff, thanks for the video, definitively looking forward to the colonial setting, but not so much the amias sequences, they pull me out of the setting too much, and were jarring... but that's just me...
Just out of curiosity, (and I may have missed something here) but did the man mean 30 hours of Story Gameplay or Overall?... surely not overall? I remember playing Brother Hood for longer than 30 hours.
"Making a masterpiece"? Kinda cocky, if yhou ask me.Good that they hired a historian. About time they get at least A LITTLE historically accurate. That whole "the templars were bad" storyline is just ridiculous. They were persecuted based on false accusations from a French prince who owed the order A LOT of money, who paid to have papers forged and a man tortured to the point where he confessed these false allegations. SO thousands of great warriors and honorable folk ended up being persecuted, tortured and burned alive... just so Philip IV wouldn't have to pay them back....
I really like that they hired a historian, soldier and weapons expert for this documentary. Just gave it so much more depths. Plus it always fun to hear people whoa are true experts in their field.
I still can't get used to Alex Hutchinson's accent, it's weird it keeps going back and forth between Aussie and some form of American.
I think the reason why the AC series seems so overdone is because they milked the crap out of Ezio's arc. I mean, the gameplay and story in and of themselves are actually fairly unique; that is, no other series is too similar to it. I just hope that they don't beat the dead horse with this iteration.
Nice marketing campaign video. Am not complaining. However, many (if not most) statements made by the team and the 'consultants' are pure PR BS and have no substance in them.
Crap! Why didn't they make it this good when Ezio was the main character??? I can only hope what they promised us about the game in this video is real. Can't wait for it!! XD This is going to be the best one for years I hope!
gotta love how people were complaining that AC was the same gibberish over and over and now that there trying to do different gameplay elements everyone is complaining all over again "oh its not ACIII" people don't know what they want you guys seriously need to stop acting like spoiled brats
Where's the stealth? Seriously what happened to the stealth. I didn't see a single true stealth kill in here. He's completely visible on every kill.
I dont know about you guys but this doesent look like assassins creed the game should have ended like 2 games ago, this is just milking a dehidred cow. And besides if they whanted to finish the storry with a bang they should have made an our times assassin, that was my first thought after the first game....
@Kyrylo Really?? footprints. Thats what you're bitc**ng about? Is all you ever do when playing video games is look behind their feet to see if they leave footprints? Come on man, grow up. Footprints do nothing for the experience, doesn't even make it feel more realistic. The game will still be awesome and if not, trust me when i say, footprints will have absolutely nothing to do with it.
Episode 2 - Forcing Multiplayer into the "masterpiece"
Episode 3 - Ruining the "masterpiece" with DRM, annoying copy protection and having it require a permanent internet connection
Episode 4 - Making the "masterpiece" free to play / pay to win because this business model is such a success (in their minds)
Oh, now I let the cat out of the bag, sorry UbiSoft.
Also their interview with Eurogamer about their stand on piracy and the free to play model yesterday gave me a good laugh : http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-08-22-ubisoft-has-endured-a-93-95-percent-piracy-rate-on-pc
lol, making masterpiece: tak a combat, a look, change setting with new decoration and here is our masterpiece....And I won'r accept it as on until I see prints on snow:D
30 hours? Most developers stretch the length of their games campaigns, but not many stretch it to 30 hours, which means this could be a good length either way. I think it's fantastic that they're doing a lot of new things and updating the game play. I'm looking forward to this.
@BiiteMe How was the formula different in Revelations? Sure, it was the weakest entry in the series so far but I found it so because there were no meaningful advances in it. What do you mean exactly?
@Hate_Squasher You should see more AC III gameplay demos, mate. The stealth is pretty awesome.
