If only history happened like this...it would of been so much fun to study in school.

@gufberg no doubt, romanticising a bloody past is something many people do with surprisingly little consideration.  that's part of why I like the series, wondering how easy it could be to blur or flip virtually any history even without a magical device lol

@Kickable You make excellent points. In comparison with what generally went on in the age of colonialism dressing up as an indian certainly doesn't seem excessive at all. Regarding the reasoning behind dressing up as indians, i understand from my reading on the matter (mostly dealing with indians and not the whites) that it was a ploy to blame the 'savages'. My primary source of information is admittedly very marxist in his approach. So it could be wrong. The idea you put forth certainly seems plausible.I guess my general point is that im disgusted by the way the american revolution is always portrayed as a glorious fight for freedom. Imo the real tragedy and the real history is that of the red man - who both Brit and settler alike exterminated. In that sense the Brit and the Settler are two virtually indistinguishable forms of imperialism and evil not worthy of their lofty ideals of 'freedom'

@gufberg sorry rambled without including animportant part.  there definately was people dressed as natives at the Boston Tea Party, they were even at at least 1 event that happened a few hours earlier.  but eye witness accounts that were given were pretty vague about their demeanor or just didn't mention it at all.  Along with painting their faces with pitch black soot that would not look realistic, some of these disguises were so shoddy and obviously not made to pass close scrutiny.  with that in mind it's likely it wasn't necessarily a cowardly act of shifting blame.  in fact it's said that people did the exact same thing on multiple occassions while protesting British rule, before the actual revolution.

the costumes were just a way to ease some of the more inhibited revolters and help anonimity and avoid implication after they get away with it.  even nowadays we see protesters do the same thing.  though usually not at the expense of an entire race or affiliation of people not directly involved with a certain cause of course

@gufberg Indians were seen as "savages" even by the most severely opressed(by the British) people, a naturally violent and primitive society incapable of coexistence.  As wrong as it was, and like you I do believe that as far as what's technically "fair" in this world, it was an almost unanimous sentiment.  Hypocrites or not the tea partiers deciding to dress up as natives who are pretty much doomed anyway was probably one of the lesser morally bankrupt decisions made anyone around that time lol

@Finalninja447 Can you read or do you lack an understanding of English?  Again, I will say again ACIII is a great game, will be playing "soon".  The key word is "soon".   And choose your word wisely, do not call people names, that so childish.

Why do they keep advertising gamestop's pre-order dlc when places like Amazon have WAY better content?

Why are there complaints about the trailer being too Murrica when they're saying that all the patriotic stuff is just the 'history' you were told & that it was insignificant (& implying that it's not necessarily what even happened)?

Templars have become pretty notorious for being in positions of power in history, so it'd be good if this group include any well-known names. Doubt it though as while I don't know my American history or its famous faces very well, I imagine that someone who does would've spotted & commented by now.

The 'brave' opposition to british rule dropped the tea dressed as indians in fear of the reprecussions, safe in the knowledge that its easier to blame the red man.I dislike  how the american revolution is always made out to be a 'good' and 'neccesary' thing. They just changed the nationality of opression from british to settler american. Effectively they came to the New World to escape tyranny - then they exterminated and enslaved the native population and began warring amongst themselves like in old Europe. A huge waste of a beautiful continent if you ask me.

If they didnt changed the engine, and sticked to the same old AC engine - that would suck.

I don't remember any accounts of them burning effigies of British soldiers. The protestors dressed as Mohawks, too. Why was that left out?
