If are going to buying the xbox one for its exclusives then you are making a mistake. Microsoft port most of these games to the PC. The PS3 had a rocky start but soon exclusives started piling up. Not only in quantity but quality. Like the wii u, playstation has polished and original exclusives. Most of xbox's exclusives are shooters. So if you are thinking of buying an xbox one for its exclusives you might want to hold on for a little longer before buying.
This is a great channel.Answered loads of questions I had about the next gens, and has really helped me with the decision. Thanks !
Killer Instinct and Peggle 2 are all that interest me for XBone.
PS4 doesnt have anything that interests me yet.
At the moment my PS4 and XBone are just sitting and waiting.
I should have just waited
Got both. Right now the PS4 is just sitting there, but looking forward to it for exclusives. But the XO is just a technology above kind of system and it will be our main system.
I plan on keeping my console for a long time that being the case I'm going with the PS4. While xbox one has a few more exclusives out the gate lets not forget that the PS3 demolished the 360 when it came to quality exclusives for years on end. Santa Monica, Naughty Dog and Sucker Punch are well worth the wait.
gamespot is not experts  more like troll retards anyway quantity dont matter but matters quality
this video makes no sense. playstation has more exclusives out of the gate? what the hell are they talking about.....
playstation has: killzone, knack, and a bunch of non console selling indie titles, although, Resogun is really really good.
Xbox One has: Forza, Deadrising, Ryse, Killer Instinct, Powerstar Golf, Fighter Within, Crimson Dragon, Lococycle, Xbox Fitness, and Zoo Tycoon, and Peggle 2 is out now too.
It will be interesting to see with all the extra power how much longer development times will be. The thing is, game prices have actually decreased over the last 20 years, counting for inflation. SNES games were 50 bucks back in 1993. By today's rate that would be over 80 bucks. SNES was $200. By today that same amount is 323.00. I remember paying over 60 for Phantasy Star for Genesis because of the 'memory' backup. Neo Geo games were over 200 bucks each.
As much as I hate micro transactions, I can see why companies are doing it. 60 bucks seems to be the magic number and games are giving you much, much more than ever before, and at much less the buying price. You could argue that new tech cost much more then, but I disagree. Consumers were paying those prices for the new tech, NOT the companies. Many more people today are buying games than in 1993, but back then there were no used games like you can find plentiful today, only rentals if you could find a store that rented them. And it's not just Sony and MS today, but Android, Apple, Steam, and many others competing for your $$$.
The thing is, gamers have it better than ever, and you're still whining and complaining, mainly because you don't have a clue about finances, or anything, really. If you really want to call out these companies for these micro transactions, then you need to call out Nintendo, Sega, Sony for charging those game prices back in the day, because they were ripping you off for much more back then than they are today. Still just kids. You will learn, eventually.
Main game I find myself playing on PS4 isn't any of these advertised games such as Killzone or Knack.. It's Putty Squad! On the Playstation Network.
Which at this time, cannot add onto any games list/ or review because GameSpot under game-search only has the Super Nintendo version __from ages ago. . . (Please update sometime, thank you kindly.)
It's very old school being a remake and all, and doesn't have the best graphics (though has its Nick Park styled charm). Regardless, what a platformer! Highly recommended to 2D platforming fans. & in my view possibly the best download game I've played since Guacamelee!
So far, very overlooked.
both consoles will need time to get some good games and i think i will buy them both once they have the right games i want.
The Question which Console is the best right now is nearly unable to be answered.
Both seem to be complete trash for now, bad working games like cod or bf, fifa, no great exclusives if you dont like forza.
Buy a 200-250$ gpu and downlopad 3-4 games like cod, bf, ac and you have the same fun with better graphics and saved the money for a yet useless console.
Theres only 1 system to go for and thats the WiiU, this year but even more in the next year. Great exclusives only on WiiU are way more better then a bit fun with games looking even better with a new gpu.
Everyone telling thats not the case is 15 year old fanboy or just to stupid/uninformed.
Systems are broke, xbox NONE actually has less features "gamers" enjoyed....too many bugs, glitches, errors to say either system or there games are enjoyable. Stick with last gen systems till they fix these beta worthy next gen systems. I regret getting either...sad time for a gamer actually expecting to have a advanced system moving forward......total let down.
Who cares about the launch lineup? Really there are hardly ever really good games at launch. This is about which system should I invest in for now AND the FUTURE not the near future either. I bet on PS. I personally will never miss Gears of War if it stayed exclusive. I am not that big an FPS guy so, I won't miss Halo that much especially if the music is not by the original composer. Without, Flower, Journey, Uncharted, Infamous and GOW3 I would have felt like I missed something. The only thing MS had game wise other than Live in someways was the Mass Effect series. Now they literally have nothing I am interested in. Titan fall looks old and truly like a COD mod. But it should be fun regardless but that is too high a price for a genre I don't care about.
wouldnt matter what system Titanfall is on, im not interested... neither launch lineup does anything for me, so i will be waiting.. when there are games i am ready to play, then ill pick up a PS4... No interest in Destiny either, for the record... sci-fi shooters and mechs? bleh.. to each, their own, i suppose... ill just be happy with my PC and PS3 for the time being... very little time for games anyway...
That one of the reasons why I got X1 instead of Ps4. I can get indie games for my Pc which will be a lot better and there do seem to be more exclusives out for X1. PS4 seems to be having the same games as the PC apart from odd one like Kill Zone so now I got best of both worlds. IMO
How ever at some point I will have both consoles just at the start and for next couple of years im sticking with PC and X1
X1 surely has the better launch games. But the system itself is inferior to the PS4 in terms of sheer performance and reliability. I have friends who bought both systems. My own brother bought both the PS4 and X1. So far, the PS4 is the better system. The X1 has some good innovations but that's about it. When it comes to gaming experience, the X1 looks 'ordinary'. In fact, I don't see much difference between my 360 games and the X1 games. Dead Rising 3 looks like a 360 game. Ryse is a hack n slash borefest. Only Forza 5 deserves any praise IMO. PS4 on the other hand doesn't have many games but whatever it has, it makes them look good. Almost every game runs at 1080p and 60 fps. BF4 and COD Ghosts look better on the PS4 and so does AC4. KZ:SF looks marvellous as well and plays well. So until now, the PS4 is looking like a king. By summer of 2014, we will know a lot more.
Why make such a big deal out of titanfall? In terms of popularity I doubt it will ever surpass battlefield, call out duty and halo.
PS4 is launching late in Japan but it is getting yakuza restoration as a launch title, meanwhile xbone is no where in sight in Asia. They could have just release the xbone without the kinect crap and evade the issue they have at hand altogether but no...they just have to shove it down people's throat. MS pretty much handed Asia to Sony with a silver platter and screwed themselves out of getting the niche Japanese games.
xbox360 had an early start, it is much cheaper than the PS4 and got a lot of exclusive Japanese games, yet somehow xbox still managed to fail at the end. It will take a miracle for the Asian gamers to accept the xbone.
@quest4glory Crackdown, Gears of War, Forza, Fable and Halo would disagree with Sony having better exclusives. Hell even blue dragon was better than nearly all the Sony exclusives.
Lucky for Sony however is the most recent Gears, Halo and Fable games were dreadful which gives the PS4 a much better chance of winning the games race.
So far PS4 vs Xbone the only thing the xbone is winning on is the better controller.........
@quest4glory Well that's because Sony put more money into exclusives.
Xbox 360 had a ton of exclusives..... but they were mostly timed exclusives because Microsoft was being stupid and thought building a strong exclusive library wasn't as important as just having games available first.
Exclusives cost a lot to make and the reward isn't instant but they build a strong fanbase that must play on your console so they weren't thinking ahead very well. I mean look at Nintendo they will be around forever even if they have some trouble simply because they have so many loved exclusive series.
This gen seems like that should change as Microsoft said they put a million into exclusives which is a crazy amount of money.
I'm hoping it does.
@quest4glory I'm still playing the PS3 loads more than the PS4. Draon's Crown is my game at the moment. But yeah, Sony gets some nice exclusives :)
Says the person who can't construct a coherent sentence...
@LethalMigraine I have a feeling many of those" non console selling console games" on PS4 do better than Powerstar Golf xD
@lucienbry Forza and Killer Instinct are X1's best games from what I can see, which is impressive. However, then you have Ryse, probably the worst next generation game to date on both systems. . .
& that's the one Microsoft choose to advertise the most.
I only hope that's not the game you consider 'best'.
I own both consoles. I play 70% PS4 and 30% on the XBone. Ironically, I do more Netflix and Hulu Plus watching on the XBone.
@starjay009 Playstation 4 did originally state its indie line-up at launch was going to be vast. I was quite disappointed in that regard, as big name games like Killzone advertised for launch never lasted my interest. Pretty as it is.
Luckily Putty Squad was a nice find but could have easily be ran on PS3.
@starjay009 That's how all launch games look. I wasn't wowed at all by the 360 launch line-up especially since I had a taste of PC gaming at that time. I felt most of it looked like higher definition Xbox games. Then Gears of War came out. First time I saw it on HDNet I knew I had to have a 360. I went on to PC gaming, but it was pretty obvious that software advances are going to come. Unreal 4 will wow a lot of people, but it wasn't ready for launch for either console.
@leakingdogmilk a console that spits in the face of gamers with zero titles that speak to them from a country that just nuked their civilians 60 years ago is exactly what they want lol I can really see grandparents giving their grandchildren xbones this xmas? in japan.
@sol_invictus55 the new video cards are $500 on their own... PC games can look better, but youre gonna need more than $500 to get them running smoothly and looking better than the PS4 and X1.. i love my PC, but there are titles on the consoles(notably the PS3/4) that just arent on PC, ever....
One would need more than $500 for a gaming PC matching the next gen consoles. That amount will only get you a good GPU.
@g0ldenpr0pet I based what I wrote on scores and after playing Forza and KI. I only just tried Ryse recently so based that solely on metacritic at that time..
That said, would you say Ryse is the game to brag at the PS4 owners line-up?
@RSM-HQ@lucienbry that said, I'm playing the game right now and I like it alot. The combat is nearly identical to assassins creed and the presentation is like no other I have seen. at first I was hesitant on purchasing it but now I'm glad I did. I see a lot of potential with this. It is linear but one main reason for that was because the switch over from being a. Rail based game. I say sit down and play the game for than a few mins and you will be awed by everything.
@kingtraxWhere do you get he doesn't like consoles?
@obsequies Nuke their civilians yes but they shouldn't have started the war in the first place, also the Japanese killed just as many "civilians" in the war so it's the same story on both sides, it's war what do you think happens lol? we all sit round a camp fire and have a nice long chat?
Then maybe you should be less of a jerk when commenting so that people don't have to call you out on sounding incoherent as you baselessly attack others...
Seriously, you want to sound better than others and say they're "not experts," then don't call them "retards" and sound like an idiot doing it.
Just a thought ;)
@Blazen702 As true as that maybe, I'm pretty sure any Sony exclusive that isn't given at least a neutral 8 is panned by Xbox fans.
None the less after trying Ryse it is better than I'd have expected, though not as enjoyable as Killer Instinct and Forza in my view.
@XxAK47xX @RSM-HQ @lucienbry Really ?_? I may give it a go then.. Though I must say, the combat in assassins is my least favorite feature. And heared nothing but negative things about it from my mate with the game...
Regardless. You've played this game and I haven't "don't knock what you haven't tried" thanks.
@gamemaven@jayjay444While I'm not excusing US for nuking two cities in Japan, Japanese themselves were far from innocent when it comes to war crimes against civilians. Luckily they did not have nukes, but they did their worst nevertheless. Just google for "Japanese war crimes", you'll come across very informative Wikipedia article, among others.
@jayjay444While we're on the topic, no the civilian casualties are not the same. They attacked a military base. We nuked a CITY, and another one. How is that even to you? God you're sick.
