This game is going to kick ass i played all the other games and they did get better alot of poeple arent going to agree but relly i couldnt give a damn about a an boys opinion, i played the demo yesterday as much as i tried to resit doing so but couldnt help it i have the No Hope Left edition booked and will be collecting it early hrs of tuesday morning, then the off license lol
I am very excited about this as I love the Resident Evil series (I really enjoyed Resident Evil 5 unlike a lot of people) and don't mind the more action orientated nature, it always annoyed me that your Special Forces agents couldn't move AND shoot! I do hope that they keep in the survival horror element as well though as in all the videos so far you seem to have plenty of ammo and not have to conserve them like you have in other Resident Evil games. Not impressed with the glowing bits on that enemy near the beginning ala Lost Planet though but am glad that you can turn off that waypoint as it takes away the exploration element for me.
I hope they start to have some real story revelations. The first 3 were fun because it was the original outbreak, 4th mixed it up by adding new kind of virus that evolved in 5th. And Wesker was finished (Hopefully for good)
But now? A new terrorist unleashes more zombies and that's it? IMO they should end the series cleanly instead of killing it by stretching and stretching until it dies with a rushed whimper.
I'll get it just for the fact it feels like the complete RE. Chris and Leon, hopefully 4 different gameplay parts, a proper dark city. The only things I could wish for are more normal zombies who dont use guns (mix of them is ok) and a bit more open world, it looks goofy to still have a barrier of cars blocking route.
Wow so many negative comments. They announced three single campaign's that are going to be about six to seven hours long and now they are offering a fourth. Pretty badass to me. Oh FYI the only scary thing about the first resident evils were the controls. Many people who played the originals were like 10 years old and were scared of the dark. You are grown ass men now, perhaps that's why you are not scared anymore.
Damn it Capsule Computer Company, I don't care about any of these people you keep announcing for your 6th game-in-a-franchise-not-including-awful-spinoffs.
was looking for a survival horror, but by the looks of it, it's a RE5 on steriods...... campcom listens to the fans they say? yeah right....
You Know what would be really great? If I could play the game and find all this stuff out for myself! Dont you think you should speculate and opionize after the game is released? Geez, you may as well play the whole damn thing for us before its released, yes I want to know more about the game, mainly play mechanics and split screen co-op, online and all that smooze, but leave the story and secret characters out of it until we get to play it too. grumble grrrrrr
Well i was expetic more than this resident becase they loose the real horror mode since this start with re4 that why re5 it was fiercely criticized; and all the real fans of the series put then a bad rating but well what we can do about it if capcom doest take the actions to make better games for have real fun.
already reserved this,, and now ADA campain added :) :)
PS. ppl we all will like survival back into RE, but if you want to be happy, move on and accept RE with the new path or move onto another game (dead space is still pretty awesome horror...)... and beside so far they have make it so that you can put it as close to the classic as possible, you DO KNOW, you don`t have to play co-op, or with the laser... and hey put it in hard so it will be less ammon
Every single video I see about this game shows the playable(s) shooting more ammo and using Quick Times than I can believe I am seeing in a RE game.
Stop giving me partners, allow me to manage my inventory and upgrades, and bring back the feel of RE4.
Seriously, why after the backlash of 5 have you done nearly the same thing Capcom!?
johnny where's your floating goggley nose passengers? only joking, looking good without the specs. you guys are pretty cool here. i can't believe i just said that. I need to go to bed.
this game is gonna rock! im looking forward to the different character campaigns! im most looking forward to chris's campaign tho, but ada's looks cool with the puzzles!
I absolutely hate the Shoot and Scoot move! lol.....And I see Ada is doing it here too! AAAaaarhhhh!
Johnny, you are one very handsome guy! ;) Even better without your glasses!
am i allowed to say that here?
Best question would be is the game still a Survival Horror game with inventory management or just an action shooter with multiple under-cooked campaigns?
Looking at the previews I'm leaning towards my guess at the answer.
Johnny is that you????
Why don't you have your glasses on?
You need them, you look weird without them!!!!
Glowing arrows making extra extra sure you're not blind and notice items now. Jeez they are getting more and more arcadey with their games.
You know what though, the Ada part doesn't look that bad. More like RE4 I wonder why OOOOH that's why because there is no AI PARTNER! >.<
I was a teen when I played RE4 and the Remake and both those did a good job of both creeping me out and scaring me(The remake did more of the scaring) and RE3 still rattles my bones. So...No. They might have not been as effective as Silent Hill but they still had effective disturbing and frightening elements in them. Look at this and look at the older ones and tell me with a straight face that this still looks like it is attempting to be a horror game in anyway and does not look like a straight forward action game. And you honestly expect them to stay true to their word on each champagne being 6 - 7 hours long? Oh come on now don't be naive.
@sadscooterpipe .... If i were to ask for old RE style, it would not be RE4.. there is no much different between that and this.... all this started with RE4, that was the game that put co-op, and action into the series..... Not liking this and assking to bring RE code veronica or RE1, that will make more sense and I will be right with you....
in the mid-time.... another RE game, I`m happy (specially one that looks to be potential *coughnooperationraccomcough*
@Connor728 Wasn't wearing contacts, just didn't have to read anything off the autocue so I thought I'd do without them! They tend to get a lot of glare from the studio lights...
@b0sse Apparently it really pumped Johnny's nads
@Deadly_Nemesis The game is more action based its called evolving the series. They want more fluent controls and more action oriented sequences. I'm happy they are bringing horror element back which was lacking horribly in RE5. As far as the 6-7 hour character campaign's even if the story was 12 hours long which it probably will be longer, that is still better than most games these days and it seems like they are trying to cram in as much content as possible. I think it's funny how everyone is just bashing this game and it's not even out yet. What happen to well giving the game a fair chance before it comes out. Whatever your opinion I guess.
@chang_1910 RE4 didn't have any co-op at all, Ashley did squat. RE 0 brought the idea of co-op. RE4 was the best thing that happened to this franchise, they just went a screwed up that feel in 5.
@SHEETBIKE Why did you not give spoiler warnings?????
@SHEETBIKE Well either way, Johnny, you look better without them!
@jsphcnly69 Thank you. Exactly right. It certainly seems however, that those of us who see the RE franchise through these eyes can't win with some folks.
I am not going to criticize their enjoyment, but I don't want RE to become an essentially lumbering and crappy FPS/Action game. The shame of it is, after 5 and ORC, I AM ready to walk from this series and I am glad that I didn't preorder it.
Time will tell I suppose, but I have NEVER seen a game put out SO MUCH prior to its release and end up being worth an immediate purchase.
From what I have seen, Dead Space is even flirting with what made it great too, and that is disappointing.
I could care less about turning laser sights off if the egg in my backpack takes up the same amount of space as an RPG, and I have to hand hold a partner wether they are a live person or a computer controlled NPC. This will never feel like survival horror to me.
Give me a good story, set it to an unsettling score, force me to think, keep me on the edge of my seat, allow me to upgrade my weapons based on my skill, give me a practical inventory system, and then get out of my way.
