also, it's very strange how a chopper's rotars stop spinning the instant it gets hit with a rocket

does this game not have bullet drop? It looked like they were shooting targets really far away and the bullets weren't dropping at all

This is a brilliant guide. Looking forward to seeing more.

I tend to follow these guidelines when I play as a sniper in other games. I'm less focused on getting the kill and more focused on map awareness for the whole team. The class is often labelled "Recon", and that's exactly how I play it.

This is why I find it silly that people complain about campers - if you know where the enemy sniper is, you have the advantage. Especially in games involving armoured vehicles.

@Scorpion1813 When the enemy team is complaining about you, as a recon / sniper, being a camper then chances are you're doing it right.

It fills me with joy every time a BF / CoD player ragequits because they don't have the slightest clue how to deal with that situation and a halfway organized team.

Oh how I love Arma 3 and it keeps getting better every release.

@themc_7 It's awesome to shoot targets down from 1.2 km away hehe. The  lynx sniper is an even more powerfull sniper capable of hitting targets at 1.5 km + distances.

@bloody-hell

I'd love to be a part of a team for games like ArmA, but I don't tend to stick with games too long. I usually play for about a month at the most before moving on. I do come back to the game at some point, but I feel a clan or something would require me to be on all the time.
