@Simeon_Crane If you actually watched the video, near the end it says you can mix Eco and Tycoon technology

lame... is this Al Gore hype? it's disgusting; we all know that Governments already have free energy devices they won't share with us; if there is no war, then I'm not buying; bring the series back to the difficulty of 1503 (the best in the series)

I'm a fan of the style... So I'll check it out! But it looks more like a city builder, than a strategic game... I like the idea of Tycoons vs Ecos! Congrats

@Curzad Here in the Netherlands our best voted electricity/gas company over 2011 is a 100% green. They seem to be doing amazingly whell. I'm sorry to here that it is not working out in every country as it should. Is it a money grab? What isnt nowadays, but it does seem to work over here.

This is really political. Its kind of sad that a game company is going in this direction. If your not green your destroying the planet. News Flash--Green is a scam, thats why all the green companies are going bankrupt right now. It was a money grab. Get over it

It looks more like SimCity then original Anno series...hopefully it wouldn't be another city builder..

For those of you who haven't played Anno before, these games are really all about the micromanagement. Economy and logistics is far more important than units and warfare. The future setting and dual factions in new, but from what I can tell, this looks very similar to Anno 1404, at least on the graphics and interface.

one of my guy friends' favourite simulation games! Glad it came out of the 14-17 century era. This is quite a refresher.

Yeah I agree it'd be neat if the game was about progressing from current day to an advanced utopian future with its own set of challenges.

Seems a bit too douchbag liberal to me. Surely you should be able to start out with fossile fules and nuclear and then start adding eco-tech for a more balanced approach.

Anno 14xx gameplay in the future? Awesome.

is there a penalty for polluting the Eco system? because if things are just going to look grey and less colorful, i don't really care. ill pollute away.

Seems a little preachy. I should be able to mix and match depending on different priorities in what I think is a right/wrong decision.

This game looks amazing. I am a big Anno fan, and this one is a definite buy for me. I think it is great that they wanted to have the game set in the future. I have full faith in Related Designs, and I have no doubt that this game will be great.

So excited for this game. They took a risk by jumping so far in the future, but in my opinion it was a good choice! Keeps the classic core of the game but brings a multitude of new elements to the gameplay. That and it's nice to have a change of setting.
