@witchersanu Your consistent misuse of grammar, spelling, and basic cognitive construction gives quite a grim representation of gamers everywhere. Nothing you said carries any kind of valid argument or points that support anything that would resemble what would be considered a thoughtful response. Everyone here is dumber for having read your response. Alice is based on a novel that was written by a man that wrote while primarily under the influence of opium. Most of modern fantasy is based off of Tolkein's literature that was largely regarded as children's fantasy when it was first published. The art direction, if you even watched the video or researched anything beyond this teaser, is that of a darker nature than Dragon Age and Witcher. Just because it doesn't flaunt large breasts and copious amounts of blood does not make it a children's game. The subject matter alone is enough to make it for mature audiences only. A word as well.. Witcher is drowned in RPG elements and a #'s based combat system. Just the same, this game is puzzles and platforming (remember Mario, bro?) with a lot of hack & slash (cutting things to ribbons as opposed to jumping on or running from, Sounds a bit like Witcher!). So what the hell are you on about? Lay off the weed once in a while.
@witchersanu have you played the original? The gameplay was not for children. It is a platformer and some poeple don't like platforming games JUST because they aren't CoD or Halo. Some of the main drawpoints for this game is the storyline. The story is a dark look at Alice in Wonderland and how it deteriorated in this take on it. The game's art is there for people to enjoy and appreciate if there are people out there who actually will appreciate the time and effort that went into this game. Kinda like with American McGee's Grimm, the art looked childish, but that was the point. Taking a childhood fairytale and warping it. The fact that this story is getting retold with a darker outlook is amazing, and some people won't like it, but then again there will always be something people disagree on. And as far as the girls enjoying it, I am sure that some girls will, but I doubt they will be anything close to your average preteen girl.
YES! Been following this game since it got announced. Looks fantastic, can't wait! XD PS- Is it just me, or is Alice now disturbingly attractive?
Yes, I am looking forward to this game more than any game at the moment. Its just a good big breath of fresh air! So many FPS and RPG's are slowly becoming a common now. But I do love FPS' and RPG's but it's just a good feeling to sit back on your couch (or beanbag) and play something with amazing art design, graphics and theme.
@mihael88 What do u mean by weird mate? The graphics are great!and besides that...Alice looks kinda hot this time around!Or is it just me ?
Some background for viewers that may not know who he is: McGee worked for iD Software back in the day as a programmer on Doom and Quake before moving over to EA , where he headed up the original Alice. He had a few misses in the past decade with Scrapland, Bad Day L.A. (which actually looked fun in its previews), and Grimm.
