If you would be rushing towards a guy with a sword in your arm, would you really hit him with your fist? DO not pay to play this, let it die. Yuck.
those rnt spartans those r romans lol i dont even think sparta and rome were in the same time period
Lol y is there no blood or killing? And ill give it try and be the egyptians just for that hot girl next to him on the chariot hahaha
Eh, those weren't the Greeks (Sparta) in the video. Those were Romans, and they invaded everyone. :P
@saladin03 It's so true, if they gave the old games, which were amazing, a reboot in regards to graphics etc. then so many people would buy them again! This just looks like a cheap copy for 7 year olds, especially with all of the cheesy comedy.
Bring back AOE 1 or AOE 2 and revamp it with todays graphic, put some new civilizations, units, buildings etc and i will pay 100$ for it, not this sh**.........
@MrBlobz Nah pal.. seriously.. I only game on my Playstation 3 these days. I don't have my own computer/laptop, just the family computer - which sucks. It could barely run C&C Generals :P I'll invest in a new one soon.. the only problem is that computers improve at a rapid rate, I never know when it's a good time to buy one!
Kind of disappointed that Ensemble isn't making the game they've done excellent with AoE so far. I wish the graphics were more realistic and not cartoony but graphics don't make a game so we'll just have to wait and see how it turns out.
@warhawk-geeby this game can run on some pretty low end laptops and pc's. you should check the system requirements because you actually might be able to run this
Civilisation-much? I just wish I had a PC good enough to run these games.. I proper loved the old school AoE, until I see gameplay for this though I can't really judge.
Man this isn't a good trailer because it makes the game look like a Walt Disney game, it's too cartoony, but the game itself looks like a standard RTS and the graphics are comparable to Age of Mythology while the gameplay itself is basically Age of Empires 2.
@blackeagle84, cartoony graphics isn't like inventing the wheel. Besides gameplay is NOTHING like it and that is what counts in a game. This game actually is a lot of fun. The developers realize that this kind of traditional RTS pales in comparison to the Total War series so they've opted to give this lighthearted visuals to go with the traditional RTS gameplay that is lighthearted compared to modern strategy games. This trailer was also lighthearted and funny which illustrates the nature of the gameplay.
well graph isn't everything. cartoon or not It's Age Of Empires so It's enough for me. and also mmo rts games are on the way. we will see more of them.
In an interview for Australian PCPowerPlay in 2006, Bruce Shelly (AoE I, II and III) and Brayn Raynolds (Rise of Nations) said that MMO for RTS was kind of against the philosophy of RTS. I personally believe them, but time will tell. I for one, I am not thrilled about this one.
Lmao had to let a couple laughs out when i saw that little dude carrying a bear sized steak! though it is cartoonish and "child-safe" i think it will still be fun to play, after all its a rts, and AOE. I'm pretty sure they released this to keep us busy until the almighty epic AOE4 comes out!!!
@ChaosUndivided those guys were Greeks, modled after the Spartans of 300, not Romans. Sorry, was a history major. Either way from what I heard it plays like regular AOE only more "toony," have yet to decide how off putting it is for myself.
