diablo 3 is good even in playing in single player, because when you finish it its already finished because its not a mmorpg endless games remember its has acts to finish.

IMO this is pretty impressive even though this character's level is too high for normal difficulty.  I'd like to see someone do this on inferno, not to say that's possible.

The guy is about 12 lvls overleveled for normal diablo and shurikens deal insane dmg for a ranged AoE spell, especially to large monsters, making them a prime candidate for future adjustments by Blizzard. Time will tell.

This is like taking a level 80 paladin or whatever on diablo 2 and killing normal diablo on d2...lol

I beat diablo on normal at lvl 29, this guy is REALLY overleveled, which makes this video pointless...........

Saying that Normal is the easiest "difficulty," can be a bit misleading to those who are not familiar with Diablo. It isn't like you choose a difficulty setting before you play - everybody has to start on Normal....

It works like this - you make a guy, and play on normal. You encounter enemeis similar to your level, you level up and beat the game. After you beat it, you take your leveled up guy and play the game again on Nightmare difficulty. The enemies are harder, have more resistances, do more damage, have new powers, etc.You continue to rinse and repeat this process through all the modes. (normal, nightmare, hell, inferno.) Playing through all the modes is how you effectively level up your guy and find better loot.

The guy in this vid is a lvl 42 on Normal. To put that into perspective, I was around lvl 30 when I beat normal. I am currently lvl 44 and on Act 3 in Nightmare (this vid is the end of Act 4)

That character is ten levels above where you would normally fight Diablo in normal difficulty level. Not a fair fight at all.

Just have a barb basicly stun-lock Diablo from being able to do really anything.GG Blizzard, on your likely zealot's awarding winning title.

so is that the final fight of the game? because it was pretty underwhelming.

you know, if its a choice between bosses who pwn you if you dont play by the arbitrary rules of the fight, and bosses who can be made into a joke by grinding, i chose the unfair BS bosses of yester-year over these unfulfilling cakewalks. at least beating those bosses felt like a victory. but really, what can you expect from diablo, it was always a simple hacknslash.

remember when videos of video game bosses being made a mockery of was due to extreme player skill or a hilarious glitch/exploit? now you can do with neither, it seems.

wait for me Diablo, I'll fight you too, very soon.

@gamespot I realise the game is called Diablo III...but seriously, there should be a spoiler alert. There ARE those of use who haven't played the game yet. Thanks for ruining the fact that Diablo comes back Gamespot.

That was very unimpressive. He/she just stood there and did the same exact attack over and over. How can that be enjoyable? Although I am not a graphics whore at all, this game does not look very pretty. That all being said, I still want to play this game because I am an RPG junkie and love the "addictive game", like Demon's'/Dark Souls.

When i read the word "Normal" i lost all excitement i had to watch the video.. Duhh its doable, he's level 42.. The Normal mode encounter happens when you're around level 30.. Not to mention he is over geared..

Not impressive considering  that person is over leveled

What I take out of this is the fact that the game mechanics itself are flawed in my eyes. Essentially this proves the game is a gear check. If Diablo was legitimately difficult this wouldn't be able to happen. If his mechanics as a boss were up to par it would require at least some sort of damn movement. Sure, you should still be able to beat up on him rather easy and take little to no damage, but there should never be an instance in a final game fight where you can just stand there and not move at all. This is the same issue with WoW. Everything is becoming a gear check that requires little to no participation in terms of actual mechanics.

He's meant to be fought at around level 30 -  of course he can do this. He's on normal difficulty, is over-leveled, and over-geared.

OMG, the finesse and skills required to play, and end, this game if amazing.  I never was a fan of hack & slash, played D1 and D2 a bit, but never seriously got into it (was, and still are, and rpg fan).  But man, am I glad I didn't buy that game! (I didn't originnaly because of the DRM, but that is the nail in the coffin).

Seriously, you don't move and spam the same attack and you kill the defiler, the champion of evil, the worst demon to have existed?

Kudos to the dev team... /sarcasm

this isnt very hard to do ... i can do the same with my lvl 30 monk ...

Now do this on Inferno, same strategy.

@H0RSE in other words, this guy sucks, his cage atack combo was hitting me for almost half of my life at lvl 30. There is no point in grinding your lvl to make the game easier, it just makes it borring.

the perspective of the game kind of makes it impossible for graphics to impress, no matter how good they are. everything is so far away, and the static angle greatly restricts the size and shape of any particular element. the only thing you ever really see in detail is the floor, and if nothing else, im certain diablo 3 has very impressive floor graphics.

@dennis8 I don't know which level you'll end up at if you don't replay the same areas/monsters that much, but in Diablo 2: LoD I had already beaten Baal and spent some time in Nightmare mode when I was level 42. I'm usually about level 25-28 when I'm done with Act 4 in Diablo 2, so it seems like it's about the same deal in Diablo 3.

@MrNumNums An by the looks of hit has a lot of defenses and life per hit.

The thing that is difficult are the Champions, they COULD CC(you can't do anything at all) and then drop you in .5-2secs with anyother great power.

@Amoralman You're a dumbass. :) The character is meant for late Nightmare difficulty. Of course it can kill Diablo on normal without moving. I am sure a level 60 character can one shit him.

@Gelugon_baat Yeah, because outside of the game, in the forums and comment sections about Diablo 3, the level of nerd rage assures you that the hatred is never too low :P.

@foufoufun0 Personally, what I took away from this vid, is an attempt to mislead those not familiar with Diablo games into thinking they are easy "n00b" games or to take away from the games 'thunder.' - in other words, to take a cheap-shot at D3 and misrepresent it. I mean, the vid isn't newsworthy or even that impressive, so what was the reasoning for posting it?

Those of us familiar with the game(s) understand that a lvl 42 defeating the end-game boss on Normal, isn't much of an achievement, and can see this vid as nothing more than an entertaining video. But those not familiar with the game - what do you think they are thinking?

Amoralman
Amoralman

@Sardinar I don't see the need to insult me, really, but hey, if you think that will made your comment more meaningful, please proceed.

So if I get it right, it means that difficulty settings aren't level capped?  Well that explains a lot and the video makes sense.

What is the highest level for normal difficulty to actually need skills to finish diablo?  As I can see, it must be way below 42...

foufoufun0
foufoufun0

@H0RSE In my opinion, I don't see why anyone should have a sudden interest in D3. D1&2 fans know what to expect just by looking at some of the gameplay videos. Someone told me that he knows some non gamer people that never even heard of D2 before but were waiting for D3 release because of all the publicity they got from friends. I just can't even... How more of a bad consumer can you be? Those people can think whatever they want, I don't think Diablo needs any more fans than that.

If anyone would have watch any other gameplay videos, it's clear that the game requires more than one chopped hand.
