just bought this and have gone with dark elf because the got both magic and hand to hand skills and they look evil although so far i have been nothing but virtuous. if any one has got any tips for me i am all ears this game seems massive!
I might be getting this game next week it looks fun.I am not a big fan of blood and gore in games that for me is not what makes this game look fun .what makes the game look fun for me is the Character Creation and the free roaming and the freedom of choice, storytelling, and adventure and fighting the dragons.
I noticed something at the start of the video. The narrator makes it seem that Oblivion was lacking in races even though it has every single race that Skyrim does with Skyrim having nothing new in that area. The warpaint, facial hair, and dirt, however, are new. So is some of the hairstyles by the looks of things.
i luv the red guard. i tank so much that i simple walk into a room, draw my sword and everyone drops dead. btw that is a glitch :D
1st (attempt) : "Erorin" Male Nord Warrior: Sword/Axe + Shield (+ Bow) skill. Was fun for a week and a half but then 2nd attempt worked out way better "Enuarlen" : Male Dark Elf Thief : Bow + Dual Wield Sword + Sneak skills; Dark Brotherhood, Thieves Guild *Nightingale Armor* - Still enjoying this so far -
chose a nord for the first run through, but will restart a few times with different characters, next i think i want to use a Khajiit then...but every race looks awesome so i will probably play through multiple times and try to use them all :)
Argonians are soooo dope. I have a lvl 17 one thats perfect for thieves guild and dark brotherhood, but its not exclusive to just that. Having most of my perks in light armor, one handed blades, archery and destruction, taking down dragons is easy as pie. if you get in a pinch, just throw on Histskin (racial health regen ability) and you'll be eating dragon souls in seconds
Dual whielding Imperial for the start since I'm generally melee in RPG's... altough I'm pretty sure I'll do here like I did in Oblivion and end having 5 to 6 different savegames all with different classes.
dark elf.sneak, sword, magic and fire resistent sounds good. although I'm tempted to go through first playthrough as a barbarian
made an argonian warrior smith with heavy armour and a blade in each hand his hisskin ability makes him an fricking epic warrior
character creation in TES V is teh hard. You can make a gimped character if cheekbones aren't wide enough.
I find it a little annoying that you can't really make a "white" red guard (the best warriors have to be black? kinda real life racist) or "black" imperial, nord, high elf . It would also be better if every race except khiajit and argonian had all the skin tones...
i went with wood elf......although i was unhappy with the lack of eye colours........and skin tones....
3 choices. Nord "Paladin type" sword, shield, and restorative. Dark elf Swordmage, single blade and blasting. Black Kajhit Brotherhood member, Illusion and achery/knifing
The choice will be hard. The simple solution is to make many different charactures and play through with each of them. The replay value of this game is tremendous. Can't wait to get started.
no worries mods will come out soon that allow race changing midgame when we all get bored of the current char

10 races, 8 of them Human or barely repainted Human. Just as the previous Elder Scrolls. Oh, look! And just like those before the previous! 3 races of "Elves"! Ridiculous! Is the size of someones ears made him "alien"? Really? The poor orc doesn`t seem even a little bit larger and heavier than any human despite all advertisement in the movies. And perhaps this is the reason to became green from jealous and to show so much teeth instead real smile. Otherwise how the player may recognize him as a member from non-Human race, huh? And the "race abilities" aren`t particularly valuable, the shorty Wood Elf may becoume strong as any battle-hardened barbarian etc., etc... From all so called "10 races" I can see only one base model with several outfits. Argonian and Khajiit are fine. All others are repainted Human. Why? WHY those peoples from Bethesda are capable to create Minotaur, Skeleton and Daedra plus so many interesting non-Human enemies but restrain the players only to "standart human affair" if I may citate the movie?
i think ill make a nord my first character since they are the denizens of Skyrim and have a natural ability to kick ass
