This is brilliant of Nintendo! Getting a software developer to design the hardware of the system. Someone who's directly involved in the game making process can really push features that are more desirable to developers and their audiences... hardware developers don't have that sort of input. This is going to be a FANTASTIC system. I can't wait. I don't care how much it costs. I'm going to get one!
Ok this does look pretty amazing, and before all the fanboys get all pissed off I DO intend to buy this, but in all seriousness how long is it going to take nintendo to catch up to modern graphics tech? Graphics don't always make the game but they damn sure help... if I want to play a nintendo game I might as well just turn on my N64 or GC simply because I am getting the same level of tech in a game that will probably play the same as a newer one.
hope they start makin monster hunters for the ds hope they dont start selling different kinds of games for the 3ds so we cant buy 2ds games and use are normal ds.hope gamespot will have them trade in are old ds for those for free or atleat for a 70percent discount
The womens voice really starts to suit this guy half way through the video. Im a tiny bit skepticle about how good the graphics looked compared to the psp but knowing nintendo youl get your moneys worth graphics or no graphics.
i was gunna get a dsxl but im waiting for a 3ds now ^^. better grathics + 3d and it looked real nice in black.
If anyone makes a game that properly utilises the 'slide pad', how are people with older ds models going to play them? isnt that the reason why the psp go didnt have a second thumb stick?
im defintely going to get one of these and im not even a nintendo fan i just think this looks really cool
@ wiidominance: Yeah! And why don't they just throw in a back-rubber, a button to launch your stolen russian nukes, and a program to help idiots like you talk to girls? Seriously, we don't want some ps-resembling copycat P.O.S., and the way this thing looks now, it's close to perfect. ( *ahem* it doesn't resemble a PSP.) Only thing I'm worried about is price, and since it's Nintendo, I doubt that's anything to worry about.
wow this console is good i have the ds lite but i think i'll get this one. P.S what if you where watching a certain type of video or movie (not intended for 17 or 16 and below) then that would so cool and real.
Please put the analog below the D-Pad and add an additional analog beneath ABXY, and make the touch screen super high res - good enough for good sketching - and while you're at it, make the shoulder buttons pressure sensitive. Oh, and don't forget to leave a sim card slot for 3G online gameplay on the go, and then ... YOU HAVE A KILLER HANDHELD ..
i didnt like wii but i was intrested to buy a DS before E3 and this is a great gifft for me, when i saw it on nintendo press i was like: wow...i will uy this one for sure... it also have 3D system without those stupid glasses and tack photos in 3D too and support DS games too... i will buy it.
Have nothing to say against 3D or other specs but merely catching up to 5-year old PSP in graphics quality leaves something to be desired.
@blitzace777 of course i do know how 3d images work. i just thought that the tracking method is the way the 3d effect on the 3ds will work. if thats not the case then i am even more thrilled ;)
