    Well i guess that the duke is dead... Im so tired of 3d realms bullcrap. Sell The duke and let someone else make the game and then 3dR can close down Forever.

    It's cool how they're resurrecting these old console games for the PC now. It seems like that's the thing to do with movies/games these days, try to resurrect and old storyline.

    For anyone who loved Duke Nukem the first time around this is an interesting little saga. Game has been in development since the dawn of time but I will sure as hell play it if it comes out. Problem is is Duke Nukem relevant anymore?

    The game is not canceled. They are looking for a new development team to finish it, and some outside funding. It is ridiculous beyond belief that this game's development is even still going on though. I was in 6th grade when they originally announced DNF, and now I've been out of school for 6 years. WOW.

    Take 2 has the publishing rights to the game. 3D Realms still owns the intellectual property rights to Duke Nukem, and as long as they do, no one else can legally finish the game.

    This game is going to be great. You can say its dead, how its not going to come out, how Half-life 2 is better than this, and a buncha other crap, but after playing a good majority of 3D Realams remarkable games, I have faith, as a diehard, childhood fan of the series that this game will be awesome.

    Copied and pasted directly from 3D realams site:

    "The release date of this game is "When it's done". Anything else, and we mean ANYTHING ELSE is someone's speculation. There is no date. We don't know any date. If you have a friend who claims they have "inside info", or there's some game news site, or some computer store at the mall who claims they know - they do not. They are making it up.     @ soupa_mario- i knew megadeth plays this song, but i didnt know it was a cover- i thought they hired Dave Mustaine to write a song for the game...lol.

    but now that i think about it, that doesnt sound like such a bad idea...if they dont use Megadeth's version in the game somewere, then the developers would have wasted a decade. And while were at it, lets just have Dave write all of the dialog and story elements for the entire game! now THAT would be a game of face-melting proportions!

    Some guy that worked with these people (can't remember who) claimed that they were going to release it decades from now, and that they thought the hype alone would make it the best selling game of all time.

    But then again, he also said Cliffy B. had him pinned on the ground while threatening his life with a wooden stake (so as not to inform anyone of this scheme).

    Can't wait!
