Vanquish User Review
Although it's a little short, Vanquish is a blast to play.

- Difficulty:
- Just Right
- Time Spent:
- 10 to 20 Hours
- The Bottom Line:
- "Just plain fun"
Vanquish isn't your average everyday third-person shooter. Unlike many shooters on the market this game actually separates itself. Because of how different it is, Vanquish is a very fun game to play.
Game play, 9. In its basic form, Vanquish is a third-person shooter like Gears of War and Uncharted. However, Vanquish is more chaotic. It is also more fast paced than others in its genre. Much of the time in Vanquish you will be boost-sliding to cover. You will also use this sliding technique for melee. The campaign is quite ordinary though. Not much different from any other campaign on a shooter. Aside from the campaign there is a challenge mode. There is no MP.
What makes Vanquish so much more fun than other shooters is the feel of the game. The game just felt like nothing I've ever played before. I didn't ever get bored unlike with Uncharted. The shooting mechanics are great. The boss fights are excellent. There is also a large variety among the different weapons.
The only boring thing about Vanquish were the enemies. There aren't a lot of different enemies in the game and fighting the same enemies over and over gets repetitive.
Presentation, 9. The graphics in Vanquish are fantastic. The soundtrack is decent. The only blemish in the game's presentation was the voice acting. It was on the cheesy side.
Value, 6. The story mode is about twelve hours long. Although it's better than most shooters, the lack of other fun modes to play makes this a short, but sweet experience.
PROS
Blast to play
Amazing visuals
Great boss fights
CONS
Not much replay value
Poor voice acting
Vanquish is a game I would recommend to any TPS fan, casual or hardcore.

Fantastic and satisfying game for any fan of shooters, but could be better in terms of narrative.
