First of all, im a hardcore gamer and I played a lot of games like this one. So i know what im talking about. Van Helsing is a copy cat of Devil May Cry, Spawn Armagueddon and all pure beat 'em all action games. Best : -Playing as Van Hesling is really cool and he's well designed -Lots of DIFFERENT weapons (includes rifles, revolvers,crossbow,shotgun,scimitar..) -During a fight you can lose your hat, and you must get it back to have more points at the end of the mission, wich is an cool idea. -The sound is well done -Van Helsing's combos are great , they may be seen in some other games but some of them are completely new -The game's ambiance, very dark and creepy, reminds me of castlevania's Bad -Well,like in all (yes, ALL) beat 'em all games, the camera is frozen. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it is not. But after some times its no more a problem. -Sometimes there's a glitch in Van's coat..annoying - Huh...i dont know! For fans of pure beat 'em all searching for something similar but with a darker background, you could buy it. For normal gamers, i suggest a rent, maybe you'll like, maybe you'll not.
