I rented this game expecting a full-on great game. The first few minutes were fun, but then it just blew.

If you've seen the movie, you play as Van Helsing, on his mission to vanquish the evil Count Dracula.

It starts in France where you fight Mr. Hyde, then that's basically it.

You go through the game, fighting little reanimated skeletons, trolls, gargoyles, and then the boss fights like the ocassional vampire, werewolf, and frankenstien.

You use the original arsenal of weaponry. Pistols. Glaives. Crossbow. Shotgun. Machine gun. The works. Just not good enough. The best you get it a temporary power upgrade that makes you weapons stronger against different creatures.

The graphics aren't horrid, but they aren't good either, and the 'keep-your-hat-on' mecanic is very good too.

Basically, just a rent if you haven't seen the movie. Enjoy.
