Underrated
I agree with the users. This game was fun and interesting with an immersive atmosphere. This one will undoubtedly look dated as far as graphics go but the story was excellent. Neither game had a strong combat system but in neither case did find it to be a deal breaker. I loved these games because i got to participate in a world shrouded in darkness and mystery. I still remember both games vividly years after i've forgotten other RPGs.
I loved the fact that the different factions played differently and not just a rehash from one to another with differing skins. I could choose a race strong in "glamouring" or i could choose one with strong mental manipulation, or i could choose one who specialized in brute strength.
Of all the best RPGs i've played over the last decade (Fallout 3, the Witcher, etc.) the Vampire Masquerade games were equally right up there as far as memorable story lines and immersion.
I just wish they would make a third game. I'm in need of playing yet another round of "creature of the night."
