Boring and dissappointing. Hopes for this title are quickly dashes once you play it.

I was really looking forward to this game as just reading some of the previews and seeing the graphics made it look as though someone spent some decent time making a good game for the PSP. This however is not the case.

The graphics, being some of the more decent on the PSP, are nice at first glance but wear on you quickly. Having to look at the same areas over and over becomes quite boring, as basically the unimaginative quests take you back and forth through the same crawling dungeons.

There is no easy way to progress and most of the time I had invested in this game I felt like a wimp. I played a monk, and until through just plain trial and error, I figured out to mostly avoid enemy attacks I had to constantly return to town to get healed. The game is very vague on many points, including quest details and even down to basic controls.

The fighting in this game is relatively lame. Basically you trigger a fighting event by walking up to an on screen enemy and depending on if he sees you or not, you get to have the initiative. From there it becomes an unskilled button mashing fight, as honestly, there is no need to even try playing a caster in this game. Attempting to conjure a spell in real time combat makes it difficult to do anything as any class other than a pure melee.

Navigating the dungeons is hard at first as well, the mini map is simply an overhead representation of what you can already see. It barely shows you anything beyond your own field of vision, and is quite useless. The only reason navigating them becomes easy is because you have to do it a million times.

Sadly I would have to recommend staying away from this game. The screen shots here make it look cool and exciting but it really is anything but that.
