game control is a little to tight/twitchy, but this is adjustable. great season mode. makes you feel like your doing the real thing. and you get to change teams after the season, or continue with the same. Graphics are great, specially if you play in first person. Great detail in the background and horizon. Didn't find any clipping. great cut scenes when pulling into the pit and before starting one. expected weather effects, specially during rainy weather. Nice touches also added such as raindeer or wild life running accross the road at odd times, or some tracks having traintracks and periodically a train running along with you for added effect. in short, the surroundings are well designed to give the immersive effect as if it's alive, not just painted backgrounds... Game control: as long as the car doesn't catch air, it's a good sim. specially after damaging your shocks, and brakes wearing out. definitly puts a whole new stratagy instead of just charging ahead. This will be a factor on how your vehicle handles accordingly. blow out a tire? expect the pull to that side. worn out brakes? expect the typical fade, and pull depending on impact.. haven't had them fail yet! Sound? I have both Dobly Digital & DTS 5.1 so as expected, dolby digital 5.1, placement of sounds are pretty accurate. if your playing from within the car, had the right reverb so your like in the car. and as expected from behind the car perspective, you'll hear alot more exhaust. overall: detail was well given where needed. cars look great, but not grossly overdone so you can see your ashtray go flying "figure of speech in comparison to another rally game that went full spec on there CAR" surroundings have a lot of depth to them, so as much as you want to admire it, your looking for that road and where it bends in synch with your co-pilots directions. Sound? with the x-box not going 5.1 is a sin. this game will bring months of replay! Complaints: no custom track editor! that was in the last version, and was one of the best features! and either i cannot find it. but there's no head to head racing which woulda been sweet! last 2 being the flaws, i think it was well done :)
