MabiFiction: Zikoro's Tale Chapter 1
Chapter 1: A new world, a new life, a new story, a new start...
The trail was a little long. All that Zikoro could think about was the message that Nao had given him. "I don't have the experience... was she saying I'm not strong enough for something..." Zikoro said to himself as he walks the dirt road before he reached what looked like a small village. The village looked more like a farmland with all the animals roaming around and the waves of crops growing.
"You have reached Tir Chonaill. It is a small village north of the contenant of Uladh." Said Eiry, the spirit of the short sword given to him by Tin.
"Oh Eiry," Zikoro said seeing that she had popped out of her home," so we reached Tir Chonaill... So what am I suppose to do now?" he asked as he took his first step into the village.
"Well why not go look for the village chief," The spirit said as she floated about, "He should be located on a hill just above the center of the village." She informed Zikoro before slowly disappearing back into the sword.
Zikoro nods and placed the sword at his hip. Zikoro walked into the village from the west gate of Tirl Chonaill. The village seemed pretty big for just at farming area. Looking from where he was at, he could see the church a bit ahead of him and what looks like a school just down hill. The village seems to set up on a mountain side with all the up and down trail. He walks over up the church trail since he could see a large area which looked like the square of the village. Walking pass the church, he noticed a woman dressed in a prisetess outfit with long brown hair, surrounded by people. From some of the characters, he found out that the priestess name was Endelyon and she seems to be giving out work for the people around her. Zikoro just shrugged since he wanted to see the chief before interacting with other people.
Zikoro walked up the trail to see a stone center and saw a lot of people running around. Some seems to be coming out from the bank and into it while other are just hanging around talking about adventures they were having. "I guess I wasn't the only one that Nao here." He stated to himself as he walks around the people trying to see the chief. The sound of people with lutes in their hands playing random songs drove Zikoro a bit mad since it just sounded like a bunch of random noise mixed into something that would make dogs howl. Shaking his head, he reached up a hill by a very large tree to a old man with a wooden cane in his hand. "This must be the chief."
The chief seems to be a bit distracted with what seems like a large blue bird by a house. Zikoro scratch his head as he stood there watching the chief.
"This lazy bird always seems to be sleeping in this tree." The chief said before turning to see Zikoro standing there watching him. "Oh... and who might you be."
Zikoro looked up at the bird as well but shook his head once he heard the chief talk to him he bowed to him. "Oh, I am Zikoro.. uhh... I was brought here by Nao."
The chief's eyes widen a bit when the name Nao reached his ears. He gave a small chuckle and a small sigh before nodding. "So she sent you here did she...?" He said before looking up and nodding to Zikoro. "Well you may call me Duncan and I am the Chief of Tir Chonaill."
Zikoro stood up and nods. "Well, it is nice to meet you sir." He said as he stood up now and held out his sword. "So are you suppose to give me a quest or something to test me like in some game?"
Duncan looked at Zikoro with a confused look. "No no... there is no quest or thing like that... but once in a while, a white owl will come and deliever a letter to you, but before that, why not head to the school and learn a bit about combat from the teacher there."
Zikoro scratches his head. "Uhh... well alright then." Zikoro said before walking a bit. He turned back and sees Duncan waving him goodbye. He sighs as he walks down the path from earlier where he saw the school. "Why do I need to learn about combat? I know how to fight already." He said to himself before bumping into a girl collecting eggs from a hen.
"Hey, be more careful, I can't break these eggs." She said as she looked at Zikoro and laughs. "Nice newbie wear... so you must be new." She said as she collected the last egg. "Here take this and put it on, it will make you look less like a begger and more... normal."
Zikoro blinks a bit as she looks at his clothes and scratches his head. "Uhh... thanks..." he said as he takes the clothes and smiles at her. "And sorry for bumping you like that.. uhh.. umm." He studdered as he looked at the girl.
She gave a laugh and patted Zikoro's shoulder. "You can call me Mianka.. or Mia for short." She said with a smile as she started to walk to the church.
"Oh.. you can call me Zikoro, or Zik for short!" He yells to Mia as she walked to the church. He sighed and walks down the hill over to a large building with a sign up front. It must be the school since he saw some training dummies in front of the building and kids to teens hitting it with a man instructing him. Zikoro walks in to the school and looked at the instructor. "Hello.. Umm.. I'm here to learn combat."
The man was a bit old but a bit well built. He probably had to be since he was a teacher. His faded dark hair was long and into a pony tail. He turned over and looks at Zikoro and starts to stare him up and down. "Kids these days... well if you are here for combat ****lesson, you are a bit late, come back tomorrow at Eight AM sharp." he said a bit harshly to Zik.
Zikoro took a step back since conflict with the townspeople was the last thing he needed. He sighs and started to walk out. He heard one of the students call out to the instructor and learned that his name was Ranald. Zik sighed and walks over to the lake right outside of the school. He sat down under a tree and stared out at the lake and the river that ran to it to feed it with water. He saw a few people fishing by the pier.
Leaning back on the tree he looks up to see a stove with someone cooking by it. It seems that it was the grocery store. To the right of him, he could see a little girl in front of the mill dressed like she has been working there for quite some time. He then spoted a large building and blinks a bit at the sign. A Inn! It was getting a bit dark and hanging outside wouldn't be such a good idea. Zik slowly stood up and grabbed his stuff before walking up another hill and over a bridge before reaching the inn.
Outside the inn, he spoted a young lady wearing a white and green dress, welcoming people to the inn. Zik walks over and sees a few people entering the inn. The lady looks and sees Zik and gives a smile. "Welcome sir." The lady said and waves. "You can call me Nora and I work here, go see my uncle Piaras if you need a place to sleep." She said with a s mile before going over to a new customer.
Zikoro scratched his head as he took her advice and went into the inn. It was a bit busy with people walking up and down stairs. Zikoro walked up to the counter and looked at the man. It seems to be Piaras, Nora's uncle. "So how much is a room here?"
Piaras looks at Zikoro and blinks a bit. He scanned him up and down and nods. "Well I'll let you stay here for free for the night since you seem to be new to this area." He said pointing to the newbie wear he was wearing. He tosses Zikoro a key and gives a nod.
Zikoro blinks a bit, looking at his wear as he grabbed the key. It wasn't that bad looking was it? He shook his head and headed up stairs to where a large row of rooms can be seen. He looks around before spotting a few people he had met in the square. He shrugs as he looks around over to his room and enters it. It was dark out already and all that lit the room was a candle. He goes over to the bed and sits down on the soft bed. It was a alright room. He layed down on the soft bed and just stared out at the ceiling.
So much for a adventure that would have trilled him. He sighed as he gets up and opens the window since it was a hot night. He sighed and layed down on his bed again and just stared out before slowly drifting to sleep. A little late in the night, a white owl flys around right outside the window with something in it's talons. It slowly goes into the room and drops something onto Zikoro's new clothes that he had set on the table. The owl flies off into the night and inside the room, the scroll slowly rolls open.

MabiFiction: Zikoro's Tale Prelude
-If You Enjoy It, Give Me A Comment, I might put chapters up of my Mabinogi Adventure-
"Hmm..."
"It's Cold..."
"Thought I was sleeping in my bed..."
Slowly opening his eyes, the boy could only see a sea of clouds in front of him. A dazed and confused look fell over him as he saw a white owl fly over him. "This isn't right." The boy said to himself as he sat up slowly now. His body felt a bit lighter now. "HOLY!" He screams to himself as he soon jump up to his feet. He was 10 again, or his body was at least. "What is going on?" was the only thought that was in his head. Everything around him was white, he could see two owls flying over head as he stood on what looks like a giant white platform with a Celtic Knot pattern design on it.
"Sorry to keep you waiting." A voice from above said. Soon a woman comes floating down from the sea of white clouds. She wore a loose fitting black dress which swayed in the wind as he slowly descended from above. She slowly touched the platform, standing in the middle of the knotwork. "You must be wondering why you are here." Her voice soft and calm as it echoed around the boy.
"Of course I am wondering what is happening to me, I am 10 years old again!"
"Please do not yell, You have been reborn to a younger form to live longer in our world."
"Sigh... Alright but why am I here?"
"I have summoned you to the Soulstream because I need your help but since you are reborn you do not have the experience needed for the task up ahead, So I will need to send you to Tir Chonaill..."
"Alright then... but why did you choose me to be reborn and things like that?"
"Do not worry, you are not the only one that I have contacted... you will meet others soon.
"Okay... but... what happened to my orig..."
Before he was able to finish his sentence, a blinding white light flashed over his eyes. It was a weird feeling as the breeze seems to have gotten calmer and the smell of flowers and trees soon filled his nose. "The heck?" He said to himself before he opened his eyes to see he was under a strange alter. It seems he was teleported down to the world the woman had mentioned. Still dazed, the boy took a few steps forward to see a young boy standing under a lantern. He was dressed like a regular boy would except for the giant oversized helmet with a dragon crest on top of it.
"So you must be the new human that Nao has sent down." The boy in the helmet said as he turned to him. "So what is your name?"
"Uhh." He was a little confused since the boy seemed to sound a bit more mature for his age. "I guess if you mean that Nao is the woman in the black dress."
"Well then, You may call me Tin." He said as he walks over to the boy and circle him before walking in front of him. "Well what is you name?"
The boy just stood there. His name... something that will identify him to everyone. He really didn't like his original name. With a smile, the boy looks at Tin. "You may call me Zikoro." He said with a smile and his hands on his hips, proud of his name.
"Well... that is a awkward name you have there... but none the less, I am here to give you this..." He said holding out a plain sword. "Her name is Eiry." he said as he handed Zikoro the sword.
"Eiry... why would someone name a sword?" He ask as he took hold of the sword to only see a spirit of some sort appear beside the sword. "... are... you Eiry?"
The loli spirit just giggled and nods. "You are smarter then you look, and yes, I am Eiry.. I am a Ego spirit of that sword you are holding right now. My job is to help you get use to this place and give out information on where you are. So don't be afraid to talk to lil' o' me" She said with a wink as he floated about.
"Uhh..." Zikoro was speechless for now as he was new to his whole event.
Tin shook his head as he looks at Zikoro. "Well... once you snap out of it, this trail that you are on will lead to the town of Tir Chonaill... there you should meet up with the chief of the town, Duncan. He will tell you what you need to do." Tin said before walking back to his spot under the lantern.
Zikoro just stood there as the Eiry disappeared into the sword now. Everything was new to him, this world was nothing he had felt before, but his mind was clear. He was happy. It was as if he was meant to come here. It was a new experience and he was going to give everything he got to this new world of his. With a nod to Tin, Zikoro slowly walks over to the fork in the road, one leading to a field filled with chicks, hens, and roosters and the other was a gate. The sign read Tir Choncaill.
