I've recently started sort of watching TNA with my husband...a few thoughts...

    Things I Like

Suicide-He's funny to me...I like his entrance..."out of fricking nowhere it's SUICIDE!"

Awesome Kong-The fact that she has a move called "The Implant Buster" is amazing.I also like the fact that she could probably beat most of the male roster as well in a real fight.

Stevie Richards having a job-I don't really like the "Dr. Steve" thing with Abyss...but I've loved Stevie for years and I'm happy he's still working

The Motor City Machine Guns-LOVE them! I think they are funny on the mic and interesting enough that I actually feel like watching when they talk. I want tickets to the Gun Show.....

Jeff Jarrett-He's looking hot...that is all.

    Things I Hate

The "Butterface" People- Full on BUSTED! Even though I'm a girl that watches wrestling, I don't kid myself about what the role of woman in wrestling is. Sure it's nice if they're talented....but 99% of the time, they are there to look good. The "Beautifu"l People is a joke. Not a one of them that I would consider stunning. Plus...why the hell am I listening to them talk so much? They got like 19 interviews this week...none of which I needed.

Sting's Receeding Hairline- Really? He's bordering on Shawn Michael's territory. Both of them need to just give up and have a shorter haircut. Or do what Chavo did and get the surgery.

The Senior Citizen Mafia-Oh TNA...just stop. Kevin Nash & Scott Steiner can both barely move. Kurt Angle just annoys me because he's not Italian or Russian...why the hell are they a Mafia?. Booker T is forgettable. The only one I can even remotely stand out of all this is Sting and it's mostly his early career keeping him in my good graces. There is no reason why this should take up more than half my show either. Which brings me to..

Too Much Talking- People complain about the WWE! I'm pretty sure 45 minutes had gone by at one point and I had seen one match. When you are trying to pull in new fans you have to come up with another way to introduce them to storylines other than just sitting through interview after interview.

So in conclusion, is TNA fairly interesting? I suppose...but the stupid stuff that causes me to hit fast forward still far outweighs what I'm actually willing to sit through.

I have been crazy busy lately...especially with school coming to a close for another year. This is the time of the year when I start to get a little sad as another group of my babies will be leaving 8th grade for high school. There are some kids this year I'm going to miss terribly, because I've gotten to know them and gotten to watch them grow & mature this year.....there are others though that I won't miss at all!

I switched my signature pic to this lovely scene of Georges St. Pierre beating the living snot out of BJ Penn and then reacting in a very angry way when the round ends before he could finish the fight.

What can I say? Homeboy is even more hot when he's all angry & aggressive! *fans self*

Hubby and I finally got a chance to pop into Fry's Electronics the other day where it turns out they have some of the cheapest prices on MMA dvd's in Vegas. Hubby and I got to pick up 4 UFC DVD's and 4 Pride DVD's all for only about 40 dollars...which is amazing given that Best Buy (our other source for MMA stuff) doesn't carry much Pride & charges about $15 a piece of UFC DVD's.

I hadn't watched much Pride, but what I do see in these DVD's I like. Pride was sort of the WCW to the WWE that is the UFC. Problem is Pride went through some legal troubles & was rumored to be run by the Japanese Mafia UFC bought them out a few years back, but some of the fighters & other workers of Pride reformed and created the Dream fight league.....

I've also decided to break down and read this even though everything I've heard about it has made me lol forever (especially as an English major in college) . Most of the truly funny stuff doesn't happy until the fourth book.

Oddly though, I'm half reading it because every single 8th grader at my work has read it and I feel like I have to in order to know what their talking about and half because many intelligent people that I really respect intellectually have talked about what a good book it is.

Also, is it just me or have the wrestling forums way slowed down as far as posts go. With Sylent getting banned (which is still stupid) and of people who seem to either want to act like idiots or just argue for the sake of arguing, it's a little weird.

So my MMA boyfriend....the smoking hot Georges St. Pierre recently became the first MMA athlete to be sponsered by Gatorade!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUCmLK2CczI

Ugh...that french accent makes me melt every time!

I got tickets to the UFC fanfest and I shudder to think what I will actually do if there is an opportunity to get GSP's autograph...the stalking will be EPIC.

    I say again......wow....

For real, I'm pumped about the Fan Fest. This is the first official "UFC" one but I've heard on other boards, that at other MMA exibitions and fan fests, the fighters are all always super nice and accessible. I'm buying a new camera before the event (which sadly, isn't until July)so I can hopefully get some great pictures.

The next fight I'm actually looking forward too is on the Strikeforce, April 11th card!

My favorite ghetto baby Nick Diaz (the one giving the bird) vs Frank Shamrock (Ken's brother....he talked for years about how Ken was on steroids....guess people should have listened) .

One of my favorite MMA moments involved Frank Shamrock telling his opponent Phil Baroni (who some in MMA compare to Ric Flair due to Baroni's love of fancy robes & 40 minute long entrances) that he was going to sleep...right before he made it happen!

As far as life...Spring Break is next week! I'm not going anywhere, but I do get out of work for a few days!

Edit: My comments section is too cluttered when I reply!!! Someone smart teach my how to make paragraphs!

  • 15Mar 09

I haven't updated in forever because I've spent the better part of the last week feeling horribly sick. Constant headaches, feeling like I'm going to barf, being tired as all hell...all the good stuff. I talked to my aunt the nurse though and I think I've traced it back to the fact that I'm trying to cut down on caffeine......I've gone from about 4-5 caffeinated drinks a day to 1 and let me tell you, caffeine withdrawl is a B!TCH!

It took about a week, but I'm finally feeling better and back to myself. I miss my energy drinks though...

And I'm a coffee addict....I've heard there are things out there though that taste like coffee, have no caffeine, but also have good stuff like anti-oxidants...more like a tea? I will have to do some research on that.

Any else every attempt to cut caffeine consumption? Do you ever stop missing it??

A couple of cute and funny things to end on!

    Fistfights I Broke Up:

So on Friday I got the honor of helping pull apart an 8th grade girl fight. Appearently someone had said something bad about someone else on Myspace and this was the end result. The weird thing I got out of it though, was how much my strength has improved in the past year. There would have been a time, I would have never been able to control a pissed off, scrappy 8th grader trying to get to another scrappy, pissed off 8th grader and I actually did it quite well.

I usually make it my policy not to physically break up the fights, but I pressed our emergency button 16 times and no one was coming. The male teacher next to me was trying to break it up, but he couldn't hold them both and I sort of felt like I had to help! Good thing is, I teach in the ghetto and something like this totally increases my "street cred" with the kids and also, now that they know we will break them up fast...they won't fight in front of our rooms anymore!

    Fistfights I Watched:

UFC 95 was this weekend. It was one of their PPV quality ones that is also free. It's never truely PPV quality as I can't remember the last time I saw a title defended on a free fight, but in this economy it's something. I wish the WWE did something similar.....my husband pointed out that he thought that's what Saturday Night Main Event was supposed to be...to which my response was..

For a free night though....it featured two AMAZING knockouts...

(this one is contraversial because some feel the ref stopped it too soon)

And also, featured one of my favorites, Diego "Nightmare" Sanchez...who is freaking insane. His entrance was hysterical...

The "WTF" bubbles were obviously added by whomever made the gif, but that's really what all of us where thinking. I don't know who was talking to actually, but he kept screaming, "YES!" the entire time he was walking out to the ring.

And he appeared to be foaming at the mouth.....

Anyway...here's hoping for calmer waters this week....

For someone who lives in a city that gets visited by many things, I rarely take advantage of it. However, I found out today that two things are happening in my fair city that I'm more than interested in attending.

    1. David Sedaris is coming here for "An Evening With David Sedaris". If you've never read any of his books, you need to. They are collections of essays he writes about his family and life, but he has such a way with humor and tone, they are AMAZING. My two favorites are "Me Talk Pretty One Day" and "Dress Your Family In Courderoy and Denim". They are so hysterical that I can no longer read them in public becauase I laugh out loud and look crazy.

Here's him reading one of his essays on Letterman......http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YBdymtyXt8Y

And yes....he has a whole essay dedicated to his voice and the fact that when people call his house, this still ask to talk to his husband or his mom...

    2. UFC 100!! I know I live in the home of UFC and therefore have the ability to attend many of these events, but I really don't. Most of the time, I'm much more comfortable buying it on PPV and sitting home. However, UFC 100 will be epic because it's the 100th one and the card is already shaping up to be pretty awesome. Mostly because my bb Georges St. Pierre will be defending his title against Thiago Alves. Alves is an interesting case because he is HUGE for a welterweight (most of them sit at around 185 and cut to 170...rumor has it that Alves is 200 at least). He's had problems making weight in the past and actually got once using diaretics (got in trouble for it). He's won a lot of fights by knockout, but I still think GSP can win!

It doesn't hurt that I also find him damn sexy! (Seriously...look at those abs!) I'm hoping it's even possible to get tickets. I know I'm going to end up sitting on the internet an hour early, continually hitting refresh waiting for tickets to pop up!

Funny pic from an MMA board I lurk on...

Featuring GSP, Matt Hughes & Joe Rogan (with a crazy look on his face! )

In other news, I'm not looking forward to going to get my car fixed tomorrow. I have to have a bunch of work done on the brakes for a total of about $600....ouch and goodbye tax refund! I suppose though since a car needs brakes to stop......I'm pretty sure I'm being hosed though, but in Vegas there is far to many places that will do it for cheap (and also do it poorly) or places that just blantantly rip you off. I've dealt with this place before and I guess I'm willing to get ripped off by them!

  • 2Feb 09

So my "Super Bowl" was the day before the real one. Georges St. Pierre vs BJ Penn Two.

First off, it was in Vegas and even though tickets were too expensive, we opted to buy it on PPV. I did however make Mike drive me down to the MGM (three years here and I'm still afraid to drive on the Strip ) so I could buy the official GSP fight shirt.

Now before the fight BJ Penn had spent a good deal of his time talking massive amounts of trash and saying things like, "I'm going to lick Georges blood off my gloves", "He's going to think I'm a God!", "I won't stop until I'm dead" as well as calling GSP a "quitter". Their first fight was decent, so I did expect this one to be good to. Even though he kept preaching about "honor", he also had the "honor" to tell GSP's head trainer to "Go F**k himself".

That is until BJ didn't show..........oh don't get my wrong, he came to the ring. But he did nothing but get his face punched in for four rounds before his corner finally called the match for him (so much for not being a "quitter").

Then the day after, BJ's camp accused GSP of "greasing" in order to avoid some of BJ's ground moves. While a trainer admitted that some Vaseline might have ended up on GSP's shoulders, the Nevada Athletic Commition saw this and whiped it off immediately.

A lot of the BJ "nuthuggers" (can I say "nuthuggers" on here? I'm going to....maybe I'll join Sylent in the TOS club! ) are claiming this is why BJ lost...but most of the true fans on both sides are admitting the truth. BJ way under trained and came to the ring looking like a fool. He needs to stay at his own weight class (155) and quite acting like he's too good for it all. He was way out classed by a much better fighter. Plus many people are also saying, if the Vaseline was as big of a deal as they are making it the day after the loss.....they should have said something DURING the fight, when they appearently noticed it happening.

Plus....if you watch the match closely...you would notice BJ getting punched in the face 900 times. I don't think Vaseline had anything to do with that!

Superman punch heard round the world!

Vaeline had NOTHING to do with that!

I lost a lot of respect for BJ. He begged and begged for this rematch and then showed up semi-out of shape and barely ready to fight. It bordered on ridiculous and if I was GSP I'd be pissed. Then rather than just sucking up a loss....he starts harping about cheating, the day after, rather than when it could have actually been proven. So now it does nothing but taint the win for GSP.

and finally.....I'm posting this event hough I know males look at this blog...

HOT DAMN! And I do mean HOT! How that ring girl is restraining herself from jumping him right there, I'll never know. She's not even looking at his rear! That girl has restraint!

So today is a basket of suck. I have a cold sore & a cold. I have a ton of correcting to do and mounting stress because next week in mid-term week leaving me with a lot of correcting & such to do.

And it was announced today that in order to balance the budget the governor might have all state employees (me, as a teacher) take a 6% paycut next year.

To make my life happier, I have decided that instead of posting just to complain, I will post things that I found on the internet that made me laugh this week!

(I found this funny as an educator, and also because I use the phrase "That's what she said" more than I probably should )

    Ahhh...I feel better now...

    1. I had a snow day today. Let me repeat that.....a SNOW DAY! Now for people who have no idea what I'm on about, let me remind you...I live in Las Vegas, Nevada. Which is located in the Mojave Desert. And I had a snow day today.

It was actually pretty funny. The local news was going nuts last night and I started jokingly referring to "Snowpocalypse" today. Las Vegas has no plows and was no way ready to deal with it. Appearently it was the most snow we'd gotten in 30 years.

I just have work tomorrow & then two weeks of winter break! Thank heavens!

    2. I made Mountain Dew cake tonight and it is amazing!! Pretty cool what a little carbonation can do to some cake.

    3. My mom comes into town on Saturday. I'm excited for this because when she's here she usually cleans, cooks & pretty much does everything. It's like having a live-in maid that I'm related too for a week!

    4. I got most of my Christmas shopping done. I still have to get a few last minute things for the hubby, but just about everything else is done.

Anyone else really pumped for the holidays?

    Also...

    GAMBIT!!

    Photobucket

I was at first not pleased when I saw the actor playing him, but this .gif made me believe that it's going to be cool.

I am now the proud ower of a Shawn Michaels Hoodie

    Be jealous!

  • 8Nov 08

I got a new phone! As an early Christmas present to ourselves, Mike & I got the T-Mobile G1

It is lovely, lovely and a lot of fun. It can browse the Internet (not needed but cool), has a full Qwerty keyboard (I text a lot, so this is really cool), and a touch screen. It also has GPS which is great for me because I get lost easily. It's also fully integrated with Google, so I love it.

Next week: I have to take the test to keep my teaching license! Boo! But this week I have two days off thanks to Veteran's Day! Yeah! I will hpefully be using these days to study & prepare.

    So..pictures!

YEAAH!! I don't care how many people were quickly trying to rain on the parade of Obama supporters after the election. It was pure elation! The negative people and the people who are made because "their" side didn't win this time can truly bite me. There were a lot of us who felt nothing but sadness over what happened four years ago. They can suck it up now and deal with their own dissapointment their own way. I for one and excited for January and what President Obama will bring.

Murphy, the ultimate badass of my household! He's really the best kitty ever and he looks nice in this picture.

Pictures from my new phone of 2 puppy children! I love the way my chihuahua Ollie looks in this pic. HHH kitty (Helmsley) not pictured because he kept running away from the camera!

lastly, new hair! (This was taken with my old cell phone...there is a quality difference). I like it a lot. It takes me 14 seconds to get ready now. I think next time I get a cut, I want to do the bangs a little different, but I still like it.

    Final thoughts?

    How is everyone else doign?

So I cut off all my hair. All of it. My current length is now comparable to Mia Farrow's in Rosemary's Baby & I'm THRILLED! I hate taking care of hair & "doing it", so my morning routine is not about 15 minutes. One super pig that I work with (seriously...I hate this guy), had the nerve to inform me that men don't like girls with short hair. I told him my husband likes me fine and bit my tongue before something rude came flying out! Seriously...I think short hair can be plenty sexy!

Anyone else excited for Lesnar vs. Couture? My hubby got the day off (I have to take a test in order to keep my teaching license and there was no way I was driving down to UNLV by myself...too scary!), so now we're going to pop into one of the local casino bars and watch the fight. While my M.M.A. boyfriend is G.S.P (Georges St. Pierre), mostly because he is the fittest guy I've ever seen and he wears such tiny, tiny shorts to the ring......I do understand that fighting is not all about who has the tightest rear end! It will be an interesting fight. Lesnar is brutal, but he's also still lacking some expirience. That's gotten the best of him before (see his fight with Frank Mir).

Lastly, Sylent posted a very intelligent discourse on Prop 8 in California. I do not live in California, but I came across this picture on the internet.

Sasha Baron Cohen dressing up as one of his characters with a group of "Yes! on 8" Protestors. Now, here is my deal.

Guy In The Green....who are you trying to fool? At first I thought you were a gay guy that showed up to argue with the protestors. But now, I'm assuming because your shirt does resemble the "Yes! on 8" shirts that you are there on their behalf. But really? If that's true and you're not just wearing it to be ironic or you're not really wearing a "No! on 8" shirt......you are so closeted it hurts. It's bananas that you expect anyone to believe you are a heterosexual male. I like how even the guy wearing the black shirt behind you is moving down his sunglasses as if to say..."Gurl, Please!".

The end! (I know immature...but really? Guy in green! Save yourself now!)

P.S. Here's to hoping that come Monday, President Obama will be a fact!

Just busy as all get out. I feel bad that I haven't gotten a chance to update this or to comment on anyone elses blogs in forever. I still love all of you!

Basically, since the school year started my life has been packed full with no stopping. I did a money-smart, but personal life stupid thing in selling my prep (non-teacher speak: Basically teachers are given an hour each day to complete our correcting & such....they needed extra classes & I sold mine. So I now teach all day long).

I get home from school, head on out to the gym, come home to correct papers & leave each day TIRED!

On a sports note: I found a love that might equal that of pro-wrestling. MMA Fighting (But not Brock Lesnar...I boo his ass, for no other reason than that he married Sable).

What have ya'll been up too?

It's supposed to be ten right? Anyway, here we go!

    1. I have never met my father. Because of stuff that happened before my birth even, my mother had his rights terminated as soon as legally possible. I don't even know his name, that section on my birth certificate is left blank (no one else ever finds that funny) I know because of something my Uncle said that my father had other children with other women. Sometimes I think I would like to find them and meet them.

    2. I love clothes! I buy something new almost weekly and I have an entire closet dedicated to just me at my house. My next "goal", a pair of True Religion jeans, when I reach my goal weight.

    3. All through school, I was a total goody-goody honor roll, cheerleader, class representative type. My husband mocks me endlessly for this.

    4. I currently teach 8th grade English & I love it. I'm one of those people that wanted to be a teacher her entire life.

    5. All the actors I find hot are old enough to be my father and/or have gray hair (Small list: Vincent D'Onfrinio (Goren on Law & Order:CI), Anderson Cooper, William Peterson (Grissom on CSI), William Regal, Viggo (Aragorn in LOTR) etc. This probably says something about my physchology & the fact that I grew up without a father that I'm not ready to work through yet

    6. My husband & I met and bonded over our love of pro wrestling. He thought I was mocking him for liking it, so we ended up having a "wrestling knowledge throwdown" when we first met. I guess I passed the test because we started watching RAW and such together shortly afterwards & officially dating about two months afterwards. WWE BRINGS PEOPLE TOGETHER!

    7. Other than a surgery breaking my upper palette of my jaw (to fix my "jaw alignment" and help me breath better), I haven't ever broken any bones. *knock on wood*

    8. I love animals. I current have two cats & two dogs (all rescues). In my dream world, I would have a farm out in the middle of nowhere full of animals that needed homes.

    9. I work out a lot and I love it! A friend and I laughed about the fact that we are both probably egomaniacs when during one of those work "bonding" activities where we had to fill in a little bubble about ourselves, both of our bubbles were all about how we like to work out and look good.

In reality, I think it has to do with the fact that my entire family is obese & has health problems. I've known since I was little that I didn't want that to happen to me.

    10. I love energy drinks & caffeine in all forms. I go through coffee, Sugar Free Amp, Enviga, etc like water!

There we go! That was harder than I thought to come up with 10 things about me that I would consider "interesting".

Very good friends wedding was tonight (I was a bridesmaid), it was interesting to say the least. I love though how after getting married, Mike and I spent the whole way home cataloging the ways our wedding was better.. We are turning into a catty old married couple.

I will probably get in trouble for talking about boobs....but our bridesmaid dresses were terrible. On anyone over a B cup (thank God I lost the weight when I did) you looked like the Whore of Babylon. It was beyond cleavage and into disgusting. Only myself & another girl weren't spilling out of it. Of course, we had one bridesmaid who is an attention whore and spent the whole night reminding everyone how her boobs were falling out of dress!!! OMG!!! She couldn't even dance because her boobs might fall out!!! OMG!!! She had to walk with her arms over her chest and continually tell everyone in hearing distance about her boobs!!! Can you tell which girl got a little annoyed? I love her as a person, but alcohol & single men don't really bring out the best in her personality.

My friend (the bride) though looked crazy beautiful & a perfect bride. It was a very nice wedding.

The things that was beyond cool was the attendent gifts. My friend and her now hubby got us all Ipod Shuffles. They had a pretty large wedding party, so I don't even want to think about cost! She also engraved a little personal message to all of us on the back, so it's cute. I love that I went from no ipods to two though in under a week..

Anyway off to find some food, I think I'm going to do the "10 things about me" at some point this week because it seems like every else did it!

So early today my husband asked me if I could go through his Itunes and recategorize his music. A bunch of his albums are missing the cover art for some reason and he knows I have far more patiences to go look all that stuff up than him.

So his song choices and mine really can't be more different. He makes fun of my music all the time, proclaiming that he listens to "good music" vs. my music which appearently isn't good.

Anyway....imagine my suprise when mixed in with the Queen, Beatles & Guns N'Roses that live on his ipod...I find Ashlee Simpson's "La La"... Oh the ribbing that will occur when he gets home from work tonight!

Just so I'm not sharing only his secrets....I should probably be a little ashamed at the amount of Backstreet Boy songs that I have on hand. (I have slightly less N'Sync, but quite a few Justin Timberlake as well) I also have a ton of Phil Collins too.

So my friends, what sort of musical monster hide in your closet? What do you listen to that might be considered "uncool" by the masses?

  • 7Jul 08

Thanks to my mother, who is the most wonderfuly person God ever put on the earth. I will be the owner of an 8g Ipod Nano on Wednesday.

    My life is now complete.

(Also...is it just me, or is the RAW board becoming a big pile of annoying lately.....makes me enjoy the sort of calm, silence of the Smackdown board)

Edited to say: Speaking of RAW, several lines from my husband tonight which solidify why I find him hilarious...

"OH NO!!! NOT MICHAEL COLE!!" (While Kane was attacking Cole...probably funnier if you were in my living room... )

(After I called Jerry Lawler's knee clip pathetic) "Whatever....Jerry Lawler's been giving knee clips since before Kane was born."

(While Kane was beating up Lawler)..."Come on Lawler! You're the dirtiest player....oh wait, that's Ric Flair".

    Here I am...pre-highlights though...

Can anyone guess what movie I'm absolutely jonesing to see?(Actually, another site I frequent was having a run tongith of everyone "jokerizing" everything & I got inspired) I actually saw the first preview for it tonight on TV and I literally stopped what I was doing and just stared. It can't come out fast enough!

At first I was wondering if I would even want to see it due to the whole Heath factor, but he looks like he does an amazing job in the previews.

So what "Summer Blockbusters" are ya'll ready to see? Any other Batman freaks like me?

I'm writing this blog from Michigan. I came home for a younger cousins graduation party (she graduated high school) and while it's been nice to see family, it's also been a very stark reminder of the fact that people can change so much and so quickly that in the span of two years you will barely recognize them.

I moved from here to Vegas two years ago come July. I can honestly admit that I disconnected from this place about four-five years before that when I first went to college, however, college did afford me the opportunity to go "home" a lot more than Vegas did.

The family I don't see as much anymore (but used to be very close to) has changed quite a bit. My uncle has began smoking again and has put on quite a bit of weight, my one cousin (not the one that is graduating) has taken to living an "emo" (her words) lifestyle, dyeing her hair black and completely shutting off from the whole family. She struggles in school, has alienated most of the family, is constaly getting in fights with "friends", etc. She didn't even come to my other cousin's graduation party because she didn't feel like it. I called her (she didn't answer) and reminded her that I'm only here until Monday, and probably wouldn't be seeing her much tomorrow and to call me if she wanted to come to the party, but of course she didn't. She is also borderline diagnosed by a doctor as a manic depressive...something my aunt & uncle refuse to deal with. I used to be really close to this cousin and my aunt in a phone call a few months ago, noted that she lost a big influence when I left and in a way, I feel like my aunt was almost blaming me for leaving & saying that my cousin would be better if I was here.

Which brings me to my blog title. I felt today, in getting to see a lot of family and family friends that I was almost slightly shunned by some people for choosing to leave and move across the country. It sort of pissed me off because a lot of these people I feel almost got "stuck" here and stuck in life and were almost mad that I didn't bother to do the same. One family friend actually asked me, "What's so great about a city? Most people hate it". I told him that I loved city life and was actually happy to which he responded, "No...you're not!" and completely blew it off that just because he would hate living in Vegas, everyone should. I also have to deal with all the people that assume "Vegas=THE STRIP" and that everyone that lives in Vegas does nothing but gamble and live on the Strip.

Then everyone started drinking (I don't drink & really never have. It has nothing to do with religion (people always ask) just a life choice I've chosen to make. I attempted to get involved in a game of frisbee with some cousins only to be told I couldn't play because I didn't have a drink. Then I just got pissed.

Then I did a rude thing, I hopped on my cellphone and called someone back in Vegas to chat for a bit. My mom finally came and got me and said we could go.

I left today frustrated because I felt like I was no longer "one of the crowd" and it was a bit lonely. Mike couldn't come with me (he was still in Vegas) and I felt like more than once my life was being questioned. It wasn't all bad though, a lot of people were thrilled to see me, commented on how skinny I looked (damn right...I'm a size six now) and were happy to here how well Vegas was going for me. It was the few that were tools about it that made me sour.

In a very cool fashion, I also got to talk to a teacher that I had in 8th grade who was beyond stoked to here that I also teach 8th graders.

In other happy news, I have been one to experiment with hair color since I was 13. I'm not comfortable doing my own hair though, so my mother has always done it. Since I was home again, with my mother, I got my hair did... I have these crazy, chunky, all over blondish-anime style highlights (my hair is naturally a dark brunette) and it looks really fun.

I also got two new shirts, one that says, "I'm not short...I'm fun size!" and once that says, "I kick it with ninjas" and has a picture of a ninja (for some reason...I've always been into the whole "Ninja/Pirate" thing.

I go back to Vegas Monday, and will be checking out a new chinese place! Yeah!

and as a update from last time! Mike and I didn't have to move and the air is now fixed!

Ack, what a week. First off, about three weeks ago my air conditioner broke (Mike & I rent a condo), in Las Vegas an air conditioner isn't just a luxury, it's something you need. The air conditioning repair guys have been at our house pretty much full time for 4 days now and it's starting to look like the problem will require months to fix. (They are literally going to have to take apart a chunk of the condo to get this working again).

So now it looks like we are going to have to move. The crappy part is the house the lady had for us to look at tomorrow is only going to be at the cheaper price for three months (we will sign a short-term three month lease) then the price might go up. If the price goes up too much, we will have to move again.

this is so frustrating because the exact situation happened last summer and resulted in a quick move. it seems like everytime I get settled something stupid happens and we have to pack it all up.
