Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2007 review is up. Ignore the score, I don't care. But take a look at "The Bad"

The Bad: Visuals aren't easy on the eyes; online play is missed; instruction manual does a poor job explaining controls and game modes.

"Online play is missed". Ok...as it is in every other Wii game? Why single out Tiger Woods of all games? Unless they're demanding trading custom players and calling that "online play" (hint: they don't). In fact, the review doesn't even mention anything about online play in the entire review, yet it's somehow a key subject to note as "the bad".

So aside from visuals, you've got a crappy manual and something that the system itself lacks? A lot of problems there .

Sounds more like these reviewers are handed a score and told "Make the review match this".

Bonus Question: Has anyone actually read through a manual for help in the last decade?

I've read through game manuals for the backstory of games or for stuff I need to know before playing, but not that often ...

I read manuals on a regular basis. If not the first time I play, soon after. I usually entirely miss at least one or two important skills or something in the game if I don't read the manual. You will note that I usually ask for a detailled list of what every single button does when I play a new game .

And yeah, almost every Wii game, the review seems to be based on the Wii functionality itself, not the game. Just give the system a rating and get over it, jeez .

The Xbox/PS3 reviews have just as dumb negative points:

"david feherty and gary mccord have worn out their welcome; the only way to get "sunday tiger" is to buy him off marketplace. "

It seems like the game has no downsides, so they have to make up any irrelivant little things they can find wrong.

Lastly, does the PS3/Xbox360 version have online?

I'll take a look at most manuals, but I haven't had any reason to read them for explanation since Ogre Battle 64.

No idea whether the other versions have online, but Sunday Tiger has been available in prior versions, so having to buy him now is kinda stupid. The announcers (Feherty, McCord) are kinda annoying, though, gotta give them that one.
