    Hiatus

    I'm taking an indefinite hiatus from the site. I'm sure you guys have noticed a lack of participation on my part lately. I never thought I would say this, but I don't find this site as fun as it once was.

    I've thought of opening an account with livejournal. If and when I do, I'll update this blog with that information.

    Until then, auf wiedersehen.

    ETA: Okay, so I finally got around to creating an account with livejournal. Coincidentally, I'm yensid85 over there as well.     100th Blog!

    Wow. I don't know whether to be proud or embarrassed about that. I'm feeling a little of both at the moment.

    100 blogs of me rambling on about the most random (and sometimes boring) stuff. I don't even remember what half of them are about. Probably various quizzes I stole and me pimping out videos.

    Now, in an effort to spruce things up in this blog, how 'bout some pics from tv shows 100th episode. After all, this site is for all things tv.

    CSI Videos

    Okay, CBS has posted a couple of new CSI related videos on YouTube.

    The first one is an actual clip from the premiere episode. It's only about two minutes but it's pretty suspenseful. If it's any indication of the rest of the episode, it'll be a nail biter.

    The other video is much lighter and funny. It's about a "new show" featuring the three male leads, Grissom, Horatio, and Mac, in a situational comedy. Don't want to give away the "plot" so watch and find out for yourself.

    Britney's "Comeback"

    Now, normally, I wouldn't write an entire blog about Britney Spears, but her "performance" at last night's VMAs was too good to pass up.

    And when I say good, I mean, "it's-so-bad-you-want-to-gouge-out-your-eyes-but-you
    can't-help-watching-just-to-mock-it."

    Seriously. I dare you to watch it and not cringe. The girl has definitely lost any talent she ever had. Not singing wise, we all knew that was non existent. But dance wise. She actually was a pretty decent dancer. Last night, however, she just walked around the stage.

    And what was she wearing? Her underwear? Come on. She's a 25 year old mother of two. Put some clothes on. At one point I was afraid she was going to flash her va-jay-jay for all the world to see.

    I did enjoy the cuts to other performers in the audience. 50 Cent looked so confused and at one point it appeared Rihanna was laughing at her.

    Actually, that "performance" last night would probably make for a good drinking game. Anytime Brit lip syncs, "Gimme more", do a shot of your preferred drink. Of course, you'd be wasted 30 seconds into it, but that's a risk you'd have to be willing to take.

    Funniest. Video. Ever.

    This is why I love The Office.

    Remember back in elementary school, on the first day, when you told your friends what you did during summer?

    Well, NBC has put together a little video of each character from The Office doing just that. It hilarious. My favorites are Michael, Pam, Stanley, and Karen.

    Ryan, Kelly and Pam all have new looks. I have to say I like Ryan and Pam's. I don't really care for Kelly's.

    CSI Promo

    I was just watching CBS, when I saw a new, short, promo for season 8 of CSI. It lasts for a full 9 seconds. It shows Sara right after she was pinned under the car yelling at Natalie.

    You can watch it here. I've already watched it about 10 times.

    Who Knew?

    I went to four stores today looking for the House season 3 set. Each store was sold out! I didn't know those things would be selling like hotcakes.

    I saw about 10,000 copies of Ugly Betty. Don't get me wrong, I love that show, and I'd eventually like to have a copy. But I never dreamed stores would sell out of House and have oodles of Betty. Not that I thought Betty would sell out either. I just found it all very surprising. And slightly disturbing.

    If it's that hard to find House, will it be that much harder to find Heroes next week? Maybe I should camp out at Wal-Mart at midnight and harass the employees until they give me one.

    I'm tired of reruns and mediocre summer programming. I can't wait for all my shows to return, especially CSI, Heroes, and The Office.

    Awesomeness

    Those of you who read Michael Ausiello's blog might remember he hosted a Gilmore Girls contest/giveaway of stationary from the Dragonfly Inn set. I entered and forgot all about it. Until today.

    I won!

    I got a big manila envelope in the mail today from a group called Ventura Associates so I had no idea what it was. I opened it half expecting a job offer from a shady company that sells knives. Imagine my surprise when I found my pieces of stationary.

    I remember Mike saying there'd be more than one winner. Anyone else out there win?

    P.S. I don't have a scanner and I have no idea how to upload the pictures from my cell phone to Photobucket so I can't provide any pictures.

    Oy with the Poodles, Pammy!

    One of my Luke/Lorelai videos has passed 5,000 views! Now, I know for some people, that's not a lot. But for me it is. It's also got the most favorites, 38, and most rated, 20 all of which are 5 stars, of my videos. It means a lot to me since I worked incredibly hard on it. I'm so proud. *sniff*

    Random Office Quotes

    Lately, I've been in an Office quoting mood. I thought I'd post a whole buttload of them for your enjoyment.

    Michael: Yes. It is true. I, Michael Scott, am signing up with an online dating service. Thousands of people have done it, and I am going to do it. I need a username, and... I have a great one. "Little Kid Lover". That way people will know exactly where my priorities are at.

    Dwight: I think one of the greatest things about modern America is the computerization of medical records. As a volunteer sheriff I can look up anyone's psychiatric records or surgical histories. Yeast infections...there are a huge number of yeast infections in this county. Probably because we're downriver from that old bread factory...

    Kevin: [to Michael on phone] Can you hop?
    Michael: I tried hopping, Kevin. I bumped my elbow against the wall and now my elbow has a protuberance.

    Michael:I enjoy having breakfast in bed. I like waking up to the smell of bacon, sue me, and since I don't have a butler I have to do it myself. So, most nights before I go to bed, I will lay six strips of bacon out on my George Foreman Grill, then I go to sleep. When I wake up, I plug in the grill. I go back to sleep again, then I wake up to the smell of crackling bacon. It is delicious, it's good for me, it's a perfect way to start the day. Today I got up, I stepped onto the grill (shows burnt foot wrapped in bubble wrap) and it clamped down on my foot. That's it, I don't see what's so hard to believe about that.

    Michael: Yesterday I was scraping some gunk off my wall sockets with a metal fork and I gave myself the nastiest shock. When I came to, I had an epiphery. Life is precious and if I die, I want my son to know the dealio. The dealio of life.

    Michael: I am by far the most qualified person they're interviewing. Jim and Karen are here, which is cute. They're like, kid actors tagging along with daddy, on the big audition, hoping to be discovered. Except daddy... is the best actor around. Daddy is Meryl Streep.

    Meredith: I would never do that. Waste of money. In my experience, guys are way more attracted to the back of you than the front.
    Kevin: I love fake boobs. Often times, you find them on strippers.
    Creed: I find it offensive. Au natural, baby. That's how I like 'em. Swing low, sweet chariots.

    Dwight: No, don't call me a hero. Do you know who the real heroes are? The guys who wake up every morning, and go into their normal jobs, and get a distress call from the commissioner, and take off their glasses and change into capes and fly around fighting crime. Those are the real heroes.

    Anyone Else?

    I've been stuck at 71% for quite a while now. I haven't made any submissions lately, but that's never been a problem before. Normally, I'd go up about 1% every few days. Anyone else having this dilemma?

    UPDATE: So, I just came onto the site and I see that I've gone up to 85%. I redact my complaint.

    VH1 has another year of World Series of Pop Culture. I was very excited about this but I find it harder than last year. I like to think I'm a pop culture aficionado/geek but I've known hardly any answers! Maybe I need to spend even *more* time watching tv and movies and surfing the web.

    And in an attempt to make this blog slightly more interesting, I give you another random picture of another random hot guy.

    Oh. My. God!!

    Back in high school, there were rumors that one of the male teachers was overly friendly with some of the female students, particularly those he coached in basketball and track.

    I had him as a teacher for one of my classes my senior year and I watched him subtly flirt with some of the girls. At one point he called me sweetheart. It completely freaked me out.

    I just found out that he married his 16 year old student! OMG!! All those rumors were true! I'm so glad he never tried anything with me.
