hello, and welcome to the first of my little "project"... Top Ten Songs from Guitar Hero... I judge the songs by three things.. A.) How good the song is, B.) How fun the song is, and C.) what songs I would show to other people.



at number 10, we have a classic song that everyone should have heard atleast once in their life, Sharp Dressed Man... The reason this song is number ten is because of the great chorus rhythm, and of coarse, one of the(if not THE) longest solo in the whole game... it also doesn't hurt that its a great song to just listen to. I also beleive that this song could be the best multiplayer song in the game..

ok, I wrote up a Guitar Hero review... it only took me about 30 seconds(I only wrote it so I could get more points over a gametrailers.com.... so far I have $600+ dollars in my gametrailers account in 2ish days.... Nintendo DS is 14,000.... sweet...

oh yeah... new project I'm thinking about.... Top 10 Guitar Hero Songs.... I'll give you more info soon.... I'm finalizing my list right now..(expect Top 5 Worst Songs too)

speaking of video previews.... today, I got in the mail Guitar Hero II, and YYZ is awesome and "You really got me" on expert is fantastic(my hands are still shaking from playing it) also, NFS: Carbon is in there too... it's surprisingly a good feeling racing game so far(I've played about 4 minutes of it).. also there is an Oblivion article that is great... it's a really good buy..(I heard if you buy it off newstands, you get a Killzone Liberation demo.... if you don't have a PSP, and have nothing to do with the demo, send me a PM)

ok... Splinter Cell was just announced for a Special Edition FILLED WITH INTERVIEWS AND MAKING OFS, OH, AND MAYBE A FLIPPIN CHROME CASE!

ok, it's cool that you want people to see making ofs and such, but damnit, just put it as exta content on the game. The people who has probably done extra content with the best is the guys over at God of War(Jaffe), they had deleted levels, character designs, bosses, enemy designs, all the cutscenes, small teasers for the story of the next God of War, challenges, etc.... and guess what, they put it all on one disc, for the regular amount of money....

Guitar Hero and a couple of other games has done the same thing...

you don't need to put out a half assed other disc for 10 extra dollars when it should come with the game at regular price...

ok, South Park is doing and episode for World of Warcraft.... and it's great....

ok, I don't stay in touch with music outside of whats new on iTunes every week(which I just bit torrent the interesting cd's)

this week, a whole bunch of stuff came out today..

The Killers new CD came out..... Killers and Franz Ferdinand are the only two "wussy" bands that I enjoy listening to, and I think that the Killers first single was pretty much trash.... but I'm getting it anyway....

 Evenescense also came out today.... I loved the first CD, so hopefully this one will be just as good(even though the guitarist is gone and "Call me when your Sober" was plain)



Apperently The Who is still making CD's, they came out with a new single today....



Beck's got a new CD today...



I still need to get the new Weird Al CD...

And last but not least, Jet's new CD came out today....

so there's been a lot of new CD's from new band's sophmore attempts.... causing my brain to implode

I know, I said no more diary's, but theres things I have to mention...

one is dealing with another comparison to Zelda, Temples and Caves....

all I have to say is that they are great and really entertaining.....

and I have to mention this... today I reached the 12 hour mark, and during the 10ish hour mark, I killed Orochi(the main bad guy so far in the story), and once you kill him, the narrarator says that your journey isn't complete yet, IT IS ONLY BEGINNING!

and then Issun backs up the narrarator and says "Yeah, this is only the beginning to a long adventure ahead...."

....

...

I'VE BEEN PLAYING THE GAME FOR TEN FRICKEN HOURS! I'M ALMOST DONE WITH GOD OF WAR BY NOW!...

..... but still, great game so far

here's a new thing I'm going to start doing with my games... Hope you like it:

Okami Diary: Opening - 3h5m

ok, so I finally got Okami in my hands, and first of all, I'm in love
with the back cover on the box... and I'm surprised it's rated T...
pleasently surprised that is...


ok.. lets get on with the game.. not too much on the menu besides New
Game, Continue, and Options... no extra content yet, but I hope that
changes when I beat the game...


When you click on New game, you get this really long backstory of the
game that lasts somewhere along 10-20 minutes, but its a great an
interesting story, and it's pretty nice to read along to...

inally, when the paper color turns to world color(which is done
cleverly), a shaded man(which you could probably guess is Susano)
accidentally unlocks evil that was sealed away 100 years ago..


Sakuya(a fairy sprite, or something like that) reincarnates you, and explains whats going on... but she feels something in her dress squirming around. It's a little bug that claims to be an Artist called Issun, after a couple of funny lines, Issun joins you(You can't actually talk, because your a Wolf thats a God and all) and becomes a sidekick that talks for you.

Thus, you finally start the game(about time), which is at the demo level. You have to gain the Cut power in order to cut the peach from a tree and revive the entire village.

In a little while(after you learn how to jump and attack), you get the power to rejuvinate bridges/rivers/etc., a little while later you get the power to cut, after a couple of battles, you get back to where you started and cut down the peach(thus, adding color back to the village)...

You go back to the village, draw a sun in the sky(since you are the Sun God), meet Mr. Orange(who is awesome), fight a couple of more people, yada yada yada...

And then you meet Susano, who is miles beyond awesome. He claims to be "The Greatest Warrior Ever", where all he fights with is a stick that somewhat looks like a sword. He is suppose to help a fellow villager cut a huge rock to move it out of the way. But first, he must train in his backyard. A little later you catch him, laying on his back, drinking Saki. This is where he says the greatest line I've heard in games for a long time... "Why don't you jus go back to the Forest and play with your weird little Monkey Friends?"...

Anyway, you have to fetch him some more Saki(which you do) and he then gets up and tries to cut some dummies in half with his sword(he tries, but you just cut the dummy's yourself to make it look like he did it) Thus, him going over to the rock, and cutting it in half(with your help, of coarse)

Now you visit a huge field(also in the demo) to rejuvinate the Tree's, but you need a different power. so you go in these caves, go all the way to the top(fighting bad guys), where you once again find Susano, Trying to get to his Super Secret Training Facility so he can hide..er..train.

You have to draw another sun, and a door opens up to a pretty clever puzzle(which I will not reveal how to do).. during solving the puzzle, there is a sleepy bear on something you need for the puzzle, Susano will defeat this creature(with our help)...

We solve the puzzle and a giant tree pops up that we need to heal..We soon get the power to heal(from a monkey), and we heal the tree. We go out of the Cave and heal the tree in the fields as well.

Now the field is free, and the game forces you to explore a bit. During your exploration, you learn how to draw bombs, you get a monster list where you must kill every specific monster on the list, and you go into a dojo where you meet another awesome character(forgot his name, but think Mr. Miyagi from the Karate Kid)

Once you finally go back to the main village, you have to rejuvinate a couple of trees, and then assist Mr. Orange during his Komonaha Shuffle dance... which is a cool minigame that challenges your Celestrial Brush skill.

After that you get the power to make lilipads on the water(so you dont drown).. and 3h and 5m are up!

So far, I've done a plenty minigames(most I didn't mention), the graphics are amazing, and the dialog is wonderful.... This could be more likeable than Psychonauts(doubt it, but we'll see)... so far, Susano("The Greatest Warrior Ever") is easily the best character in the game... and so far, I'm loving the game...

I was expecting Okami to be out today(Tuesday)..

..so I went to my local Gamestop, where the cashier is talking to this guy in front of me in line(I didn't see Okami on shelfs, so I went to ask the cashier if there's any behind the shelf or something), where he was talking about this amazing new First Person Shooter launching on the PS3 made by Naughty Dog...... he kept on refrencing Halo during the conversation.....

While I was gritting my teeth with anger after listening to that conversation, I asked, "Do you have Okami yet?" he said "Tommorrow, it shipped today"

I wasn't that mad... even though the day Games should be on the shelves no matter what is Tuesdays... thats when most games come out and it's the same day DVD's come out... but I wasn't mad at all because I had to work today till 8...

but tommorrow, I have Okami and the house to myself till 8.... no plans... only Okami...

BWAHAHAHA!

ok, so I know some of you are wondering, "Hey, wheres that stupid Guitar Hero Project your suppose to be doing"

well, the answer is, that I'm trying, but one day, my uploads kept on getting interrupted(brother needed to use the computer, electricity went out, etc.) and then for the days after that, the upload would stop right before it was finished, and after that, It would say that it was finished uploading, and then I clicked on Go To My Videos, and it wouldn't show up... it's weird..

I'm trying to find a way to fix it, so we'll see how it goes...

I also received the demo for Okami and filmed another video preview(that I find pretty entertaining).. I'll try to get it up by the end of the day if the upload thing is working by then...

Opinion: Fun song, easily rememerable, no solo's though, and it's pretty much the same thing over and over. But still a fun song.

Mini Faq:
Q: Why the FREAK are you playing the second song in the game on hard mode?
A: Good question, I just feel that Hard mode on this song is the funnest mode to play with this song, plus I would look bad on camera stumbling along repetetive notes(which I do a lot when I play Expert mode of this song)

Q: How come at the end of most songs, you purposely strum, making those awful noises?
A: Another good question, Personally, it's just a habbit I do, and it doesn't hurt my score at all, so it's cool

Q:OMG, HE SMASHED THE GUITAR!
A: Yes, he did, no matter how many times I see that animation, I still jump up and down with glee

Personal Opinion: I loved the song when I was a kid, and it's a great song if your a beginner in Guitar Hero, but once you know what your doing in the game, the song is so slow that it kind of bores you to tears. The solo is only 2 seconds long, the rest is long notes and the chorus. But I guess all Guitar Hero's has to start somewhere

Technical Stuff:
Since some people complained on the camera angle, I turned my TV, so now you have a better angle.... also since more stuff on the screen is happening at once, the picture can get a little blurry at times.. but other than that, it's fine

For Guitar Hero, I will upload me playing every song(bonus song too) of Guitar Hero on Hard or Expert(Just for people that wanna see the game)

I might do the same for Guitar Hero II....

When I get my copy of OPM, I'll demo through Okami(like I did with Legos)

I MIGHT! do a marothon of Okami(the final game).. It just depends on the date, if the house is empty sometime soon, etc.
