End of year. Yay!! Completely Current Gen Now
Wow, it was the best christmas so far for me. On a non-gaming note, I got an Ipod touch for my birthday...that is one amazing device..never been a fan of Ipods but just had to have that one cos it beats carrying a huge psp just to watch my movies on the train. On a gaming note, I am now fully up to date with gaming hardware. I got the shock of my life when I opened a huge box on xmas day and saw...not just a PlayStation 3...but a 60 GB PlayStation 3. Americans can laugh if they want cos they get 80GB models but getting a 60 GB now in UK???...that was awesome, as I have a load of PS2 games and just like I retired my Xbox and Gamecube as soon as I got the 360 Elite and the Wii, I wanted to retire my PS2 when I got the PS3 but as is the norm with Sony, you need to drain your pockets for extra functionality having you buy adapters just to plug in a dual shock 2 and PS2 memory card (I felt just as pissed when they made the PS2 with only 2 controller ports while the cube and Xbox had 4). Anyway, I have backward compatibility and just played through half of god of war 2 on the PS3. Alas, my shelf (come to think of it, I need a new shelf) has the three current gen consoles sitting together in harmony just as was planned. The PS2 will have to stay until I get those adapters for the PS3, then I can finally retire it *Sniff*. On a bad note however, I didn't get any games for the PS3, which is not so bad considering the fact that I don't think the PS3 has any great exclusives now and I already have all the good multiplatformers on the 360. I wasn't impressed with heavenly sword after playing the demo but I am looking forward to Haze, Metal Gear 4 and hopefully in the near future, god of war 3. What of GTA 4? I hear you say.....dont worry, I always played GTAs on PC cos you get to mod the city and cars and it looks alot better too on the PC, which brings me to the second bad note.....My PC has probably finally given up the ghost. That's ok because, being a geforce 2 P4 which I got in 2001 (top of the range at its time), its time for an upgrade as my laptop can't handle crysis and I'm dying to play it. I also need a new PC for bioshock and GTA 4 so my blog for next month will probably be called "Yes!!! got a top of the range pc"......or not. Anyway wishing you gamers out there a merry christmas and happy new year. Its a good year for gaming too with GTA 4, MGS 4, Haze 4...just kidding, Ninja Gaiden 2, Smash bros brawl and other greats coming. Oh and yeah, I'm a game developer now so I get to go to next year's GDC in san francisco. See you guys next year.

Gaming life in the past month
OK after like 2 weeks of waiting, I got myself an XBox 360 elite. I guess I got sick of looking at my halo disc just sitting there while I heard of people completing the game and all that. Looked nice, got a DS lite on the same day. The funny thing is, 3 weeks into having the 360, Ive only played the 360 like 4 times. I hope I am not losing interest in games......ok yea, it was all the fault of call of duty 4 which I got and completed on the pc. Thats one amazing game. I hadnt been so involved in an FPS game so much since halo1. Ill highly recommend COD 4. Decided to go on live 2nite for some halo 3 deathmatch action (since I couldnt find someone to co-op with) and I was glad to discover I still had it in me on console FPSes (cos I owned alot), considering the fact that the only FPS games I play on consoles are the Halos. Anyway. played and completed Dragonball Z BT3 on my ps2 in a few hours. It was quite disappointing to see that even the hard mode was still too easy just like BT2. Started playing Lost planet 2nite. Its not bad -- I love a good shotgun blast now and again in my games and lost planet has plenty of it. When I complete Lost planet, Ill probably go get myself assasins creed, super mario galaxy, maybe rockband or guitar hero 3 and maybe mass effect ( i dont like RPGs but I do love my action games) or maybe Ill just wait for one of my siblings to get me those games for my Bday and Xmas. Probably getting a PS3 for christmas too. If I dont, Ill just buy it myself. The console's not got any fantastic games to me yet but Im quite enthusiastic about Haze. Even without haze, I was gonna get one anyway cos I want a 60 gb one instead of that rip off 40gb one. I just hope the 60 gigs will still be available in december since Sony decided to ignore us europeans and release the 80 gb only in US. Well, thats my gaming life so far --- not much for the average gamer but u tend to think like a developer when u start developing games instead of a gamer which kinda sucks.- Posted Nov 23, 2007 3:39 pm PT

Halo 3
Well its here finally, Halo 3, personally I agree the game is abit over-hyped but Halo 1 being the reason I bought my Xbox, the game really deserves the attention (at least to me). Halo 3 was certainly the game I was gonna get an Xbox 360 for but sadly, here I am with my Halo 3 collector's edition (the legendary edition was sold out ok....) and no Xbox 360. Life isnt fair. I thought I had it all planned but a flaw in my cash flow plan left nothing for the Xbox 360. Oh well, will just have to wait a few weeks to recover. In the meantime, Ill just have to sit here and admire my Halo 3 cover.........
