Most Memorable Boss Fights

Hey Guys,

My last blog has turned into a spam-fest so im making a new one

Boss fights are probably the oldest of video game traditions. U plow through a level to ultimately reach a boss at the end. Over the years there have been some great bosses, and with every new generation they get more and more innovative.

Here are some of my most memorable boss fights, in no particular order.

Hydra - God Of War

Wow, that things huge!...... friggin heads everywhere!

Psycho Mantis - Metal Gear Solid

Aarghhh, hes controlling my joypad with his mind!...The Psycho!

Clothos - God Of War II

errrr....A fat killer minger...put a blade thru her head!

Colosuss Of Rome - God Of War II

OMFG! Its Alive! Stab him in the glowing eyes!

Edgar Barrett - Psi Ops

Did he just throw a huge oil tanker at me?....The B******

The Kraken - God Of War II

Nasty...its trying to slap me with its tentacles...must shove huge slab through its throat!

Well, there u go!

I know, I know, they're mostly from God Of War, but i love that game and the boss fights rule! Roll on GOWIII

What are ur most memorable boss fights and what do u think of them in general? I'm not that old, so i couldnt think back that far, but im sure some of u have some older memories

Video Game Based Movies....Ur opinion

Hey,

With the not too distant releases of Prince Of Persia and Max Payne looking maybe to change the appalling history of video game based movies, I wanted to know ur opinions on why so far, the quality of such films have been so awful?! (Not just because of Uwe Boll)

Also. Whats ur favourite video game based movie? which one are u most looking forward to in the future (if any)? which games would u like/not like to be made into movies?

Heres a list of the Top 10 best (according to review-averaging site Metacritic) Video game Movies:

10. Lara Croft: Tomb Raider – 33/100
9. Doom – 34/100
8. Pokemon: The First Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back – 35/100
7. Resident Evil: Apocalypse – 35/100
6. Hitman – 35/100
5. DOA: Dead or Alive – 38/100
4. Resident Evil: Extinction – 41/100
3. Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life – 43/100
2. Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within – 49/100
1. Mortal Kombat – 58/100

And the Top 10 worst:

10. Pokemon Heroes – 27/100
9. Pokemon 4ever – 25/100
8. Pokemon 3 – 22/100
7. Postal – 22/100
6. Wing Commander – 21/100
5. Bloodrayne – 18/100
4. House of the dead – 15/100
3. In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale – 15/100
2. Mortal Kombat: Annihilation – 11/100
1. Alone in the dark – 9/100
