No. 9: The end of a trilogy.

No. 9: Metroid Prime 3 Corruption (Wii, 2007)

I loved Metroid Prime 3 for many reasons (mainly because it is a Metroid game and because it's just so awesome), but the thing that made me like Metroid Prime 3 so much was that the game felt new to the trilogy. While the game is basically the same as the other two games in the trilogy, the control scheme that it uses is nearly flawless, and it makes the game feel a treat to play. And it introduced new things to the trilogy too, like been able to talk to other in-game characters, you didn't feel alone when you played the game. And you still got all the franchises hallmarks, like the Charge Beam and back-tracking when you find a new weapon. It's one of the best visually impressive games currently available for the Nintendo Wii, and the game sounds a treat too. Not many First-Person Shooters got me as involved in the games story as well as Metroid Prime 3 did, and without a shadow of doubt in my mind, it totally and utterly dererves it's place amongst the decades best games.

My top 10 games of the decade: No. 10

I thought I'd copy chocolate1325, and start a blog countdown of what I believe to be the 10 best games of the last decade.

It was a hard choice this list, well the top 5 pretty much chose themselves, but I really had to think about the other 5. Well I've got it now, so here's my Number 10 entry

No. 10: Super Mario Galaxy (Wii, 2007)
Super Mario Galaxy is a brilliant game. It marks Mario's Wii debut, and it's one of his most memorable quests to date. After Mario witnesses Bowser kidnapp Peach (again) he yet again gives chase, but this time he'll have to scour the whole galaxy to find and rescue her.
Super Mario Galaxy, gameplay wise, plays basically the same as Super Mario 64, as Mario can use all his actions from that game in this game, but the game feels easier to play because the Galaxy uses the games mechanics a whole lot better than Super Mario 64 does.

For me, Super Mario Galaxy is a top game and fully deserves it's place in my top 10 games of this decade.

A Link To The Past is so awesome.

I've just completed The Legend Of Zelda: A Link To The Past today for the fourth time, and it just seems to keep getting better and better everytime I play it. At this rate I may like it more than Ocarina of Time.
