    Late to the party

I played through God of War today...for the first time. I sat down at 10:30 this morning, popped it in and turned the PS2 off at 8:30 tonight, having beaten it. I only stopped twice to eat. It was a good day today.

I got to thinking that I have a LOT of games that I haven't beaten or even gotten around to playing. Since I've decided not to follow the gaming industry after this generation wraps up, I should be able to get a handle on that.

Great game though. I didn't like it as much as Devil May Cry 3 although it was close. DMC just has more style to me.

Gotta play through God of War 2 in preparation for March. I do want the third one but what's the point of getting it if I haven't beaten the first 2 right? Well, 1 down and 1 to go!

    Hack n' Slash Heaven

I like hack n' slash games. I'm not really picky about them either. This generation is delivering the goods in this genre like nothing else. We've got games like Devil May Cry 4, Ninja Gaiden (sigma) 2, Heavenly Sword, Bayonetta, Dante's Inferno, God of War 3, Darksiders and Castlevania.

That's a lot of hack n' slash and they all are or look like they will be good to great games.

If only vert shmups got this sort of love...

    This is the real deal

Anyone out there like first or third person action/adventure games? Anyone out there prefer them on PC where you have mouselook? I do. For a long time now I've held off on playing a lot of these games on my PS3 mainly because of the control scheme I'd have to use. I'm no good with trying to aim with the stick. But there are SO MANY fun looking games that are exclusive to consoles that I'm missing out on just because I'd rather play it on a PC....not anymore.

    Enter the FRAGnstein from Bannco.

This thing is the best of both worlds. Analog movement, precision mouse aiming (1:1 movement, no acceleration away from the dead zone, just like on a PC), wireless, lag free. This thing rocks my socks.

I played Uncharted today almost all the way through, only stopping once to eat. The experience, coming from someone with an affinity for mouselook, is greatly enhanced with this controller. It works on PC too. If you're like me and can't go without mouselook but want to play some awesome console exclusive games, this thing is THE crossover device.

Just thought I'd tell you guys about it

    Later,
    Dave
