22Nov 08Recently, I've been wanting some sort of portable gaming. Right now I'm leaning more toward the DS just because I've always wanted to play Chrono Trigger, and it's coming out soon for the DS.So what do you guys think I should get? A PSP or a DS? Please give reason!
Thanks!

16Nov 08Gees. So I haven't posted anything for a while - I didn't even realize how long it had been. But nonetheless, I'm back and ready to start blogging again.
Christmas is still a while a way, but I have run out of solid games to play (other than Guitar Hero: World Tour, but that doesn't count). Do you guys know of any good Xbox 360 or PC games that are $20 or less?
I want the game to have a good length - something that will last me a month. So that can mean it has a long single-player campaign, or an awesome online multiplayer.
Games I would prefer: RPGs, FPS, Action/adventure Games I really don't feel like playing: Racing, Fighting, RTS
Thanks for the suggestions!

11Aug 08Whoever saw the Men's 4x100 relay cannot deny the excitement they felt for the U.S. swim team
At the edge of my seat (well technically I was on the floor), I did one of those maneuvers where I jumped up and down urging the Americans in the last 50meter dash to the finish. It's completely and utterly useless to cheer for them, when they are in that little black tube, yet we cheer for them nonetheless - thinking that in some unfathomable way they can hear me all the way in Texas.
But this isn't really the point of what I'm saying. Yes it was awesome, and probably one of the highlights of the Olympics thus far...
But the real story is Phelps and his shot at the record-breaking number of Golds.
I can't help but to think of how much the media is stressing the success of Phelps, and they keep saying how he is going to win. But what if he doesn't? Anything but a gold would be a complete let-down (in any of his competitions).
I think the media shouldn't be flaunting his high chances of winning, but instead just cheer for him. By making him out to be a God of swimming, they are just setting themselves up (and the rest of America) to a let-down - and no one likes to be let-down, especially with that sort of magnitude.
Regardless of medals, Phelps is still a really cool guy. I saw the little documentary of him, and I couldn't help but to compare myself to him. He's lazy, eats a lot, plays video games, has a dog, and swims. That's his life. My life could be summarized with the exact same list, just add soccer and school, and get rid of swimming.
Such a cool guy.

7Aug 08E3 08 Editors' Choice Awards.
Where the heck was Guitar Hero: World Tour, sure it got nominated for best stage demo, but it wasn't even a nominee for best Rhythm game?
What?
Oh GameSpot - you let me down.

6Aug 08I was just wondering why the majority of people blog.
I'm not going to ask a multiple choice question, because I'm sure everyone has a different reason for doing it.
Personally, I blog for the sake of blogging. If I have something to say, I want to share it with someone, especially gamers. The majority of people I hang out with do not game as often as I do, therefore I turn to Gamespot to share it with you guys.
Why do you blog?

4Aug 08Crap the Virtuoso Track Pack for GH3 is hard.
All are practically 7 to 9 minute songs, and all have killer solos.
Save the star power !

17Jul 08Hey guys, now that most everything is wrapped up from E3, I decided to tell everyone my top 3 most anticipated games.
3. Guitar Hero: World Tour
2. Spore
1. Final Fantasy XIII
It is extraordinarily hard to narrow it down to just three games, as I am looking forward to soo many. With that being said, I made a list of five honorable mentions... No particular order.
-- Dead Space
-- Mirror's Edge
-- Fallout 3
-- Far Cry 2
-- Resident Evil 5
What are your choices?

15Jul 08There is no doubt in my mind that the Xbox 360 completely out-did the other two next-gen systems in their list of upcoming games.
It introduced awesome (but not unexpected games) including:
-- Fallout 3
-- Gears of War 2
-- Fable 2
-- Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts
-- Too Human
-- Prince of Persia
-- Far Cry 2
-- Mirror's Edge
-- Resident Evil 5
-- The most unexpected game -- Final Fantasy XIII --
-- and much more
I am in for one heck of a ride in 2008. So many great games coming out.
Of course, my most anticipated games coming out this year are not a Xbox 360 titles, but PC titles. Spore and Star Craft II.
I'm stoked.

*Drool*There's not much to say other than woot!
Seriously.
This is possibly the most unexpected thing they could have announced. I would have expected a new system announcement over the announcement of this.
But hey, I'm not complaining

13Jul 08I was looking up iPod games today... and I came across a pretty intriguing game called Song Summoner: The Unsung Heroes. I don't know much about it, other than you can use the songs in your iPod to summon creatures. I'm pretty sure it's a crappy game that isn't worth your (or my) money (probably with a horrible story too), but still, it is a very cool idea.
If anyone knows anything about this game, and if it is good or not, fill us in.
I'm thoroughly intrigued

12Jul 08One of my earlier blog posts was about purchasing a random PC game for $2.01.
Well, today, I got my random game in the mail. I opened the bubble-wrap package to find Terminator III: War of the Machines.
My gamble did not pay off well

Oh well

12Jul 08I've always wanted to get in to Magic, but my friends never shared that common interest.
And so I found Magic Online (I know it's been out for a while but I've never heard of it).
I purchased my first theme deck and a booster pack and got going... only to realize that my deck was pathetic compared to everyone elses... It seems that in order to stand a chance, I'm gonna have to pour out loads of cash before I get anywhere near a good deck.
Another sad thing is that I wasn't planning on spending A LOT of money in this game, but I guess it is inevitable.
If anyone wishes to give me some of their cards to get me started, I will gladly accept
