Overall, this week has been a bad one at work. Customer complaints, pushy boss, snobby manager... it all came crashing down at once. And if I quit, I'd have nowhere else to go, so that's not an option. And I can't believe Quiznos is flat-out copying Subway...

About a month ago, Subway started a promotion for $5 footlong subs. It was a huge success, and it hurt Quiznos' business. So, this week, we started our own cheap rip-off of the deal ($5 for a large turkey, roast beef, ham, or tuna sub), and business has skyrocketed again. Stupid maneuver, but apparently it worked. Now a local chain of sub shops is doing the same thing. What's next, $2 for a small? Sheesh...

Oh well, I can't control the business practices of the higher-ups, so I have nothing to do but do what I'm told. It's a sham, but hey, I get paid to do it. Just thought I'd share my feelings on the matter with you guys.

I finished my last project yesterday and turned it in, so I'm now free until August! I don't have any particular plans, but you'll definitely be seeing more of me now.

Also, because of a certain "zak", I'll most likely be getting a season of Futurama on DVD. Don't know which one to buy, but I'm hoping it's as good as they say.

It's that time of year again... end of the semester for college. I have two tests to study for, and two final projects. It's a lot of work, but I'll manage. It's important, too, since in college, projects/tests usually account for the majority of your final grade. It's way different than high school.

Also, I'm apparently getting a rebate check from the government as soon as tomorrow. I don't know if it'll be $300 or $600, but I'm counting on it being a good-sized windfall. Gasoline is expensive these days (not to mention I have a few things I want to get, too).
