    The Random Stuff Blog!

Hey, I know I haven't been showing up much, but I have the past 2 days. Well, and I signed in the other day at least twice.

Sorry I haven't been hanging out at the unions too much, once I get on the internet it's hard to get off of it. XD I've visited both of the unions I've joined at least once, though. Anyway, yesterday I made a bracket for that greatest video game hero thingy...my last bout ends against Mario and Alucard...I'm crazy for Castlevania . Funny enough, right before that bout, I had Mario pitted against Kirby, which reminded me of the fight between them at the beginning of The Subspace Emissary.

As for other stuff...college. I started two weeks ago, with only two classes, one after the other, on a Wedsnday. Surprisingly enough as well, both classes, wireless communications and routing and routing basics, require use of the same simulator program. So, after an hour writing commands, we do it again for another hour, whoo!

Oh, and I've been thinking of getting a 360. Y'know, they made a Meteos game and made it downloadable on Xbox live. Sure, they made Disney Meteos but, in my opinion, some crossovers just kill the series. I got to try the demo since my nephew has a 360, and it feels weird to play the game using a standard controller. Also, Banjo-Kazooie. Also, I like that build-a-stage option in Halo 3. And...I dunno.

    That's it I suppose.

(Hours later...) I just realized something...Tomorrow is my one year anniversary since joining Gamespot! I suppose this blog will suffice as my celebration blog. So, Whoo-hoo! ^^

    Why hello thar!

Hello, hey, and howdy! I'm back from my...2 weeks(?)...er, vacation/hiatus/away from internet time. Because otherwise, I'd spend a whole week on the internet. D:

About a week ago,I was on vacation in Disney World. It's a yearly thing. Seriously. Sadly, the Virgin Megastore in Downtown Disney has been closed down andthe building is now being renovated for a tribute to princess Diana...

Anyway, that means I didn't get to purchaseThe ConduitandStarfy as I had planned. So for the week after vacation, I've been playing Animal Crossing. And now, I'm tired of playing it. XP

The summer sure is long and boring, isn't it!? I can't wait for my last semester at Nunez. After that, who knows? I'm really unsure what to do next. I've been living with my parents ever since graduating from high school, going to a community college, don't have a driver's liscense, no job, and am juggling ideas on what to do for a future career. In one case, I've come up with about a dozen ideas for different stories in my head, often writing them down in a journal. Many of them are inspired from video games and music, and some from dreams I've had. I've also come up with some interesting ideas that I'm sure no one has ever thought of before. Hmm...perhaps I should start writing books instead of designing video games? I 've thought of that a few times, but I detest typing. I have high school English classes to thank for that . Also, I'd like to start drawing again. I've drawn a lot when I was in school,( I wasn't great. I drew lots of stick figure-ish comics with original characters and didn't start drawing seriously until my junior year in high school.) plus I enjoyed taking an intro to drawing class during my first semster of college.

...hmm. Maybe Ill go draw or something now. Y'know, to catch up on the last two years I didn't spend drawing, to regain my skills. Later!

E3, tomorrow, and some other junk, mkay?

I went and saw the Nintendo E3 conference this evening. It was a little on the boring side. However, a lot of great games have been announced. Ranging from a handful of Mario games to a brand new Metroid game being made alongside Ninja Gaiden's Team Ninja. Apparantly, it will follow the beginnings of the series' famed bounty hunter, Samus Aran, when she first joined the galactic federation. It even features 1st/3rd person gameplay like that of the Prime series. Samus is not limited to her arm cannon this time however. She can use a variety of melee attacks to fend off the hordes of aliens and other creatures she will face. (the audience actually clapped and cheered at this point!)

A mega amount of Mario has been announced this time around,in a boatload of promise. Starting off, New Super Mario Bros. 2/Wii. It's the sequel to the awesome DS game and this time around, up to 4 players can play on the same screen. That's right, Super Mario Co-Op play! As usual the 1st and 2nd players are Mario and Luigi, respectively, and 3rd and 4th players will control a blue and yellow toad, respectively. New suits include a penguin suit (seen in the video on Nintendo's official E3 website ) and a propeller suit.

More Mario madness ensues as Mario & Luigi 3 is given a subtitle: Bowser's Inside Story. Also: Super Mario Galaxy 2. No one was expecting that one! (And the audience still sounds unimpressed :0 >) It looks great by the way. This time around, Yoshi joins the adventure. Expect more planet hopping madness as well. I really enjoyed the first one. I wonder if Mario has to rescue Peach again? Probably, eh?

Also, the game I've been waiting quite a while for...no it's not Mother 3. It's Golden Sun DS. Yes, that's right, THAT Golden Sun. I loved the GBA games they were awesome. Definitely two shinig diamonds in the rough. The video featured a character that looks vaguely a lot like a mixture of Felix/Issac from the previous two games. Scenes of summons were included showcasing summons of Ramses, Eclipse, Atalanta, and more. Oh, and it will be in 3D this time.

That's all I can remember. Oh, and Spirit Tracks should be released later this holiday season, I believe. No Kirby this time around, but Starfy will make up for the loveable creampuff. I also, took some time to watch a bit of the Microsoft and Sony conferences, and they are both doing great jobs. Microsoft's Project Natal looks incredibly amazing, I'm sure it's still in it's beginning stages, but maybe it will surpass the Wii's motion control? That wouldn't be good for nintendo. Also, the Beatles Rockband. I like the Beatles, but lost intertest in Rockband and Guitar Hero about two years ago. Anyway...

I'd hate to say this, but I feel as if a vast majority of people have lost their faith in Nintendo. I also have my doubts, what with the whole supporting "casual gamers." I feel as if they're forgeting what a video game is. Why support people who barely play video games? There were some games in their conference such as The Women's Murder Club and that Style...something game that make me think, "HUH!?" I know there have games like this for years. You've had games featuring barbie, M&M's candy, and other things...but are these games worth playing? Are they worth buying your 6 year old kid a DS or a gameboy? What are the chances of these kids getting to play games that actually are video games, like Mario or Sonic? "Casual gamers should probably just stick to puzzle games, FPSs, and Brain Age. Video games just no longer have that whole geek/nerd thing about it. A variety of people are coming in saying they want games that reflect cooking, or sewing, or some mundane task that takes you away from the mundane tasks of the world. That's why I play Mario. That's why I play Zelda. Pokemon, Metroid, Castlevania, Final Fantasy. These and many more franchises, not just Nintendo, are what keep the true gaming spirit alive I believe. Now, perhaps this whole thing is just one big rant, but they are close enought to my true feeling on the subject. Perhaps I should work on the public speech/writing arguments thing more. Then maybe I can makea more coherent argument. But right now it'sall just ranting to me.

Anyway, I also got an invite to a union. I gotta say, I'm surprised I was invited, and decided to join. I'll have to come around more often now, lol. Also, I probably won't be around for a few days. I going to go visit my grandparents in the country. The country being a house in a small quiet neighborhood with no internet. Unless the neighbors have left their Wifi on. Then maybe I'll play some Mario Kart. Now that I think about it, I'll have to post my friend codes sometime.

Anyway, this is the ending of this post. I'll probably play Majora's Mask a bit and head for bed. Later!
