It seems like I haven't been here in forever, but I guess it has only been a month of separation. Last month I was campaigning for Chuck, I had just seen Star Trek for the first time, and I was still obessed with the stars of 9 to 5 the musical. A lot changes in 30 days. Now Chuck is renewed, I've seen Star Trek 3 times, and my celebrity obsession is back to Zachary Quinto and Neil Flynn's involvement with both Scrubs and The Middle. The month was swept away with finals and sunshine and a trip to Jamaica, which was awesome if you have never been. The water is totally see-through, the people are genuinely nice, and it was the first stamp on my passport. Still, I'm about as good with flying as Dean Wincester on Supernatural, if you know what I mean.
And when I came back into the country, all I could read about was this new look for Scrubs. There is going to be a Turk, but no Carla? How can that happen? Maybe this new season of teaching and not doctoring will be shot entirely as JD's fantasy, where Dr. Cox and Turk can devote all of their attention to him, which would be the camera, since ZB won't be there. Ugh! I had decided I wasn't going to watch it since Neil Flynn moved to The Middle, but I kinda want to watch them destory/re-invent one of my favorite shows...
Anyway, the point is, I'm back, and I'll start commenting on blogs again, sorry for the disappearance!- Posted Jun 24, 2009 2:45 pm PT

This is the survey from the home page today:
Who was the best character in the new Star Trek movie?
Results
James T. Kirk 27% 1,050
Dr. Leonard McCoy 18% 704
Uhura 4% 161
Spock 40% 1,534
Pavel Checkov 6% 249
Hikaru Sulu 4% 144
Total Votes: 3,842
Take that Kirk! Spock is the BEST! I LOVED the new Star Trek movie. I'll admit I've never seen a full episode of the series, but that was the best movie I have seen in a long time. Zachary Quinto, I want to marry that man. He exceeded my expectations, and my expectations were unrealistically high! Overall, I loved the characters, I thought everyone was funny, and I wasn't that confused by the time-travel. That means good movie to me! I just hope there are many sequels, all equally as excellent as the first

First off: Lost. Sayid has never been one of my favorite characters on Lost so I didn't love the last episode, but I am interested to see how the writers are going to fix the plot with shooting young Ben. Either it will be something lame like 'the bullet missed all organs and important parts of the body,' or hopefully something better. The most interesting (and probably most incorrect) theory that I have heard is the Sayid shot Ben who died, but Ben's twin brother, let's call him Claude, saw it happened, and decided that Ben's life was better than his own, so he switched clothes and decided to live out the rest of his life as his twin brother, Ben, meaning that the adult Ben Linus we have come to know and mistrust was really Claude, a messed up kid who saw his brother die and is now a sketchy guy on an island. But the only way for this fan theory to be true is to have the show turn into a soap opera, and hopefully that won't happen!
Of course, for once in my life I decided to go out on a Monday night, and of course, as soon as I saw a Heroes fan today they practically shouted "Did you watch it last night! It was so IN-TTTENSE!" I'm excited, and I'll watch it as soon as Im done with Chuck vs. the Broken Heart, which has been pretty good so far.
RIP Andy Hallett, you sure were a talented man.

I missed three straight weeks of television this month. I thought catching back up would be fun, but watching all the episodes in a row kinda takes away the suspense without the commercials to keep you on the edge of your seat.
I'm finally up to date with the episodes and articles about Lost, and I was very excited to find that the writers still plan on keeping the flash-forward and flash-backward plots because I find them interesting even though they might be confusing to try and explain to non-fans.
I still haven't watched the Psych finale, though I heard it was really excellent except for the last few minutes. I'm way behind on The Office and 30 Rock, but I figure I can watch this week's episode and go back to watch the other one's later. I really really need to catch up on Heroes because it was horrible timing for when I had to miss it with Sylar's storyline at such a high point! I haven't even seen his father yet which makes me really sad. I can't wait to watch "Shades of Gray" because I love love love that title!
I'm two episodes behind on Scrubs, and I still haven't decided if I want to try to jump back into Dollhouse since I really wasn't that impressed wit the first episode...
Boy, I just need more time and I can finally finish my list!

Good news all you Janitor fans: Neil Flynn will not disappear after Scrubs is finished! But I'm sure every fan already knew that. He was cast as Patricia Heaton's husband on the upcoming ABC comedy "The Middle." Hopefully he will get to improv as much as he does now on Scrubs. However this also means that if the idea of Scrubs continuing becomes a reality, I won't be watching. I was only going to stay for the Janitor, Doug, and the Todd, but considering that now the janitor is out and Doug hasn't even shown up in this eighth season, I don't think I can stay for Todd alone.
Psych is back and as good as ever. I thought I was going to die laughing during the sea lion episode when Shawn was describing why he turned the light out so the sharks wouldn't know they were there. That was too funny, and I'm betting it was mostly James Roday because that would be hard to put in a script. Either way, it was brilliant. Plus Shawn/Jules is being brought up in every episode now. What's that about? I won't get my hopes up though, Seth and Summer had a rocky road ahead, I'm sure these two will too.
Also, Lenny Wolpe is no longer on Broadway as the Wizard in Wicked (which I am going to go see again in May!). I can't find any upcoming projects for him either, so I not sure if he is involved in something else or just taking a break right now. sigh. Well, that's it for now, hopefully I'll be able to update my blog more offend now that the craziness of Christmas has past. Not that I'd mind the endless sugar cookies again

What is up with the writers of Heroes? Stop killing Sylar! Stop doing it!
"Fugitives" doesn't look as fun as "Villians" was. But that's probably because Sylar wasn't in the preview. He is officially dead? The building was on fire, after all, so does that imply that he is completely irreversibly dead? I don't mind if it is a spoiler, but can anyone tell me if I will ever see our beloved Sylar again on Heroes?!

I am finally the editor for Lenny Wolpe! I contribute small things to random people when I find stuff, but I really wanted to be the editor for Lenny because I actually met him in New York City at the stage door for Wicked and it was amazing! I got a picture with him that is currently on my wall with Neil Flynn and Zachary Quinto and Levi pictures even though Lenny is currently not on any running show, only Broadway (which unfortuately I can't see every week.) Anyway, I was really excited so I just thought I'd write it down so when I look back on my life at eighty I can see I did accomplish something. Ha, just kidding.
Psych holiday special! I thought it was really good, but I also find it hilarious every single time one of the guys screams like a girl so the commercial itself was amazing too. Sigh.
Well that's all I can write now, with one added comment: I think it is both hilarious and great that Jenna Fischer is 98 out of 99 in that "most desireable women" list in her trivia section. She made it on the list, so any place is a good place I guess!

I've entered into the season second on episodes for The OC. I had a lot of concerns after watching the original pilot, but all of those problems have gone away. They only really partied in one episode, which is kinda strange, but I'm not complaining.
Supernatural! Ah! I'm still behind, and I CANNOT wait for Thanksgiving break so I can finally have the time to catch up! Same goes for Pushing Daisies, which is going down in the ratings?!
Meanwhile, I can't seem to stop watching "Ebony and Ivory" on youtube from the Psych commercial. Yet it still makes me laugh everytime. I really hope it will be on the DVD, it never gets old.
Invasion. Man, I wished I had watched it when it was originally on. That is/was a good show...
And last non-tv related update. So I have a black kitten, and I figured Halloween would be her time to shine, but she got scared by the doorbell ringing so many times and decided to hide somewhere upstairs. So she spent her first Halloween not shining, so I guess I'll just wait for her to climb her first Christmas tree!

To start off:
Invasion!!!! Wow!!! After watching the pilot I just thought: "The Invasion Fan Club told me it starts off slow and then excels. The ending is going to be beyond amazing, because the beginning was some of the best sci-fi television I have ever watched!!!
Chuck! Ah. Chuck and Sarah have had the same "we can't be together" speech like ten times! Enough already, we get that it is complicated and it can't happen! Arg. The episode had some cute parts, and Casey was a solid grounding character who really brought it back to watch the show is about. Hopefully Bryce will be gone for a while now though, because he comes at the worst of times!
Heroes! Whoa!!! I love Zachary Quinto! And the space-warp guy was pretty cool too, I'm sad that he's 'gone.' Note to Peter: stop going crazy! I hope that Mohinder got rid of Spanish twin for good. She is so annoying, and that would be the first good thing Mohinder ever did! HRG should be aware that Sylar has super hearing from the lady at the repair shop, so what was he doing, other than making it very obvious to Sylar that HRG wants him dead? It's tense, but I love having two of my favorite characters together as partners! Speaking of partners: ANDO?!?!?!
I haven't watched Scrubs in a while since I got Chuck season one and Invasion. But I really miss it, even though I am still trying to grasp the fact that this is REALLY the last season. [Exhale] Maybe Neil Flynn can just work as a janitor in an office. You know, the office.

I know, I know, insane idea. But the world seems like be falling apart! In Gov, all we talk about for the first ten minutes of each session is the stock market and DOW. "It keeps going down." Then I get online to check on my favorite fall shows right now- Chuck, Heroes, The Office. The new articles on Chuck and Heroes say that NBC Monday night is failing and a lot of viewers are switching to "Two and a Half Men" of all things! My grandmother watches that show, and I do not think it is as funny as people give it credit for. How can you choose that over lovable Zachary Levi??? I LOVE NBC Monday nights, especially since Scrubs has left the Thursday night line-up, and I am always excited to watch two forty-minute episodes with twenty minutes of commercials each. I am patient enough to sit through them, that is how much I love these shows! Yet the ratings are dropping? If either of them are canceled while Terminator hangs on by the fingertips, I will be furious.
In other news, I bought a stress ball in the shape of Dwight's head this weekend. But I just can't wait to get to NYC to buy a pineapple Psych stress ball. Boy do I have a lot of stress!!!!
My new non-tv-related discover: Diet Dr. Pepper is pretty amazing. For some reason I never tried it before, but now I'm kicking myself for that dumb mistake!

First of all, I am officially a proud member of the Psych Fan Club, code name Pineappella. It wouldn't let me add it to my signature yet, so I'll just post it on my blog while waiting for the kinks to be fixed up. I finished the thirteen episodes of The OC on Hulu :[ but it's okay because I have Chuck on DVD to occupy me until more episodes are added :]. I love the first season of Chuck, but I hate the display screen that comes up when I press stop. The disc continues to spin when I want to take it out, and I don't like that. It's the same way for all of the Friends DVDs, so that also means it will probably be the same of all seasons of Chuck. Ugh.
The new layout. Ah! I'm still trying to figure things out, and I won't submit for a while since I know the editors are overloaded. I love having the list of my top ten shows, but I don't like being unable to rate things between .0s and .5s. It makes it hard to make the actual top ten list when things have to be rounded to zeros and fives. Par example, I don't really think that The Dick Van Dyke Show is a 10.0, but it is one of my top ten favorites, so in order for it to be on the list on my profile, I have to put it as 9.6 or higher, but that has to be rounded to 10.0 for some reason. Hopefully that will eventually get fixed too, not that it is a top priority for the editors right now. I guess I'll have to try and get used to it. Somehow. Slowly. Eventually.
Heroes premieres tomorrow! I have read some really good reviews and some really mediocre ones, but I'm hoping for the best. Plus Chuck premiere tomorrow on Hulu! I'm even more excited for that!

Happy Chuck Season One Release Day! I saw the Amazon package on the front step and could barely wait for the car to stop before jumping out of it. Yay!
Cheers to the writers of the OC. I'm hooked, it is officially my guilty pleasure. This could have been a really bad show, with unlikeable characters and slow plot lines. But things have been moving along at a rapid pace, and Summer is actually growing on me. At first I had no idea why a sweet guy like Seth would like an unpleasant girl like Summer, but now I get it. They have nice chemistry, and Rachel Bilson does a great job of playing jealous. Of course I feel bad for Anna, but I think she'll get her turn before the four seasons are over. Thankfully, almost all of the drinking as gone away. Like magic! But the bad thing is the fan forums seem to all tell me that the quality of the seaons goes downhill from the super season one. I think I'll ignore that though, considering I usually like seasons in the opposite order of everyone else. For example, I cannot live without my Angel season five, yet some of the forums say that some fans wished it never happened. How? What? How? (mes trois questions excellent)
It's the most wonderful time, of the year.
That's right, it's fall premiere season, DVD release season, and Christmas shopping season! I admit the last point is a bit of a stretch considering Halloween hasn't spooked any kids yet, but I'm taking the positive outlook and gazing towards the present filled future. AH HA. That was a joke. A bad joke, but a joke none-the-less.
I just read a boat load (more like yacht load) of spoilers for Heroes season 3. Boy, am I excited! I love Sylar! Don't read the end of this paragraph if you don't want a potential spoiler. Look away. Okay. I read that Ando is going to try and kill Hiro! I don't know if we're talking future Ando vs. present Hiro or what, but I'm raedy to find out!
Oh, Scrubs, where art thou? Has anyone heard a solid return date yet? Psych is back in January, maybe Scrubs will occur at about the same time.

Today I plan to blog about.... The OC?
I don't know if it's just that I haven't had new TV in a while, other than Psych which I believe is ending tonight, but I have been watching and thinking about The OC a lot lately. I really did not think I was going to like it, but I love Chuck so much that I wanted to start following Josh Schwartz's projects, and this show was the first one he created. When the show as on TV and I saw commercials, I wasn't interested and I didn't understand how the adults had anything to do with the plot, but they actually play a big part. I have watched about four episodes so far on Hulu because Seth is such a great character. He is just sweet and funny, almost like Chuck might have been in high school. I just don't understand why he would like Summer, at all. There was a lot of partying and fighting in the first episode, but it has really just focused on the characters for the third and fourth episode, which I like so much better. I'm sure once Chuck arrives from Amazon I will lose focus on The OC, but it has been a fun little side project/viewing. Four days until Chuck is on DVD, btw.
Blayne! He was kicked off Project Runway! I was so sad. Kenley definitely should have gone, her outfit was ugly and she gets so defensive when talking to Tim and the judges!
I am so excited about Psych tonight. The episode summary sounds so good. It's kinda similar to the kidnapping forum I started, only in a bank. Hopefully it is as good as I am excepting it to be.
Alright, so that was my TV talk, now I'll tell a real life story just to show that I am aware of reality. So today in Gov we were discussing an article on the death penalty, and our teacher told us to put up our hand if we were NOT against the death penalty, and I put up my hand because in some cases I support it, and my hand was in the air with about five other people's. The our teacher said to keep your hand up if you were a democrat, and I was the ONLY democrat in the room who supported the death penalty! It as horrible. He turned to me and said,"I'm going to put you on the spot. Why do you support it?" and I just said something like "There are some people in the world who have done horrible things without a conscience, and I don't think they should stay here and affect the rest of society." Everyone just looked at me like I had said that I hated kittens. Thankfully the bell rang right after I said it and I bolted out the door. Hopefully wounds will heal over the weekend so people don't just think that I am a horrible person!

I was really bored in Psychology today so I decided to brainstorm some ideas for new shows. I know, brainstorm, educational right?
Can you imagine if Joss Whedon and Bill Lawrence created a show together? It was be a sci-fi comedy series, but a musical! I would have to rewrite my definition of fandom!

The title was a hilarious quote from this week's Psych, said by Chief Vick. But it's only funny if you hear it in context. So watch Psych!
So this blog is going to be a lot of random today because it's been a while since I had time to post anything. But anyway...
The election is getting intense. That's all I'm gonna say since I am too uninformed to pick a side, but the opinionated people in my Gov 'schoolroom' (since I can't blog the other word) are going crazy.
I discovered the most horrible thing the other day. I have to miss the Chuck premiere for a choir concert! A choir concert of all things!!! I can catch almost every premiere, but apparently not my favorite show's premiere. But that's just my luck.
My dad decided to run the sweeper between the couch and the TV during Psych, and after the sweeper he turned on a bright light to read the paper so there was a huge glare of James Roday's face. I was not happy, no one gets to put a glare over James Roday's face. No one. But on a happy note, my Psychology binder is covered with "Ebony and Ivory" icons that cheer me up every morning. I wish they still showed that amazing commercial!
"Talk Derby to Me," oh goodness. Shawn and Jules are so cute together that it hurts inside. The end of this week's episode had me close to tears because it was so sweet.
10 days until Chuck is on DVD!

So, yesterday around eleven I made my Amazon order. I ordered "Invasion," which I am really excited to watch because I have never see any of them on tv and I have just decided to marathon all the episodes since the season is only supposed to get better as it goes on. Goodie! I also pre-ordered "Chuck" at $25.99 because it was the cheapest I could find it anywhere and I have an away match that night and wouldn't be able to pick it up after school. I am counting down the days until Chuck season 1 is in my hands!!!
As of today, I am officially a member of The Pineapple Club! I'm so happy. Plus, I am an official member of The Nerd Herd as Keeper of the Codeword at the Buy More!!!! To make it better, all of you Psych and Chuck viewers know that the codeword at the Buy More is pineapple!!!! I'm so happy I claimed it before someone else did, because now I can represent both of my favorite shows!!!

Chuck
The first season starts off with a bang. Actually, a whole bunch of bangs, but that's the glory of guns. But even though a lot of shots were taken, the bullseye was always hit when it came to humor. The short season was packed with great one-liners, and great facial expressions.
A+
Heroes
The season was disappointing considering how wonderful season 1 was. But the Spanish wonder twins were horribly boring, I didn't like Micah's new family members, and I had issues with the amount of shots that they used that were from the glasses point of view. That's okay once in a while, but the shot was used twice in a row in the finale alone. They don't like to kill off the annoying characters, but yet they are okay with the directing OVERKILL.
C-
My Name is Earl
Too much of this season was spent in the jail. The jokes were slim and the list was basically lost. The season picked up close to the end with familiar call-backs like "Wakey-wakey, life's at stakey!" Crabman and Joy never bore, but this season didn't give them enough opportunities to shine.
C+
30 Rock
Every episode of these season had a highlight. Even if the main plot wasn't the best, I didn't like the episode "Milf Island," one of the supporting characters would save it. For example, in "Milf Island", the vending machine joke (used somehow in pretty much every comedy) had me laughing, along with making on important phone call and realizing that you wasted it by accidently calling yourself. Stuck between My Name is Earl and The Office, this season seemed to be the only Thursday pick-me-up other than Scrubs!
A-
The Office
The crowd-pleaser, Jim and Pam are finally together. But IMO it seemed like the show was more funny when they weren't a couple. It still had at least one laugh per episode, but that just was nowhere near par considering how amazing the last two seasons were. The entire second half of the third season was amazing, and I guess I just expected too much from this season.
C
Scrubs
Hilarious. The show can't seem to please everyone now-a-days, but this season sure did please me. Around the fifth season, the magazines had kept saying that the show needed to grow up. IMO, the show really did grow up this season, but it still stayed true to itself. This season turned out to be one of my favorites, and though the cover art may be...uh original, this season will be added to my collection the day it comes out!
A+
Pushing Daisies
The first couple episodes in this first season were cute and original. The characters of Olive and Ned are easy to root for, but I did not like Chuck. At times the character annoyed me, and other times it just did not seem like she and Ned were in love, and that is what the show seems to be running on. After watching the entire first season, I was not left wanting more. Hopefully it will pick up in the second season with more episodes like the great "Bitter Sweets."
C+
Supernatural
This season had its ups and downs, and it certainly had unexcepted twists and turns in the plot. Some of the episodes were very spooky, and some were very funny (such as "Bad Day at Black Rock"). It definitely had a lot of variety, and it was nice to have some more recurring characters with the boys. Plus the finale certainly did leave you wanting more!

The downside: School starts in a week and a half. I have tennis matches every Thursday.
The upside: My favorite series start appearing on DVD is two weeks! My old television schedule will be back up-and-running in a month! All of the Thursday tennis matches are home games!
As always, rejoice for the upside of life, and rejoice that Tony Hale will be on Chuck.
