    well, it has officially been too long since i blogged. i've really been trying to make time to come back, but iv'e been totally wrapped up in school. so a bunch of things have gone down since the last time i was here;
-i turned sixteen =]. and my first real birthday party went great.
-i'm still to scared to drive.
-school started, obviously. first trimester is actually almost over and exams are this coming wednesday/thursday. but anyway, my clas.ses are Economics (nap time), Aerobics (chinese water torture), Modern Political and Economic Issues (actually really interesting, and the teacher is, well i'll just say it, astronomically hot), Digital Image Design (snore, but i have learned some stuff), and Spanish III (muy bueno, even though i can barely speak a lick even after three years).
    -one word; OBAMA!
and there are some things to come.
-new clas.ses are English III (my favorite subject, even though i still haven't started my summer reading), Spanish III (we talked about this before), Chemistry (excuse me while i take a vomit break), Comet Savings & Loan (that's the school bank. hopefully i'll get into the marketing department), and Pre-Calculus (i already forget how to factor. epic fail).
-my amazingly stupendous Grandma Von is turning the big 7-0 and we are having her a surprise birthday this weekend! some family members are coming in to town and staying with us. and i really should be cleaning right now, but it's not like the dust is going anywhere.
-i've been working really hard on My Top 100 Movies. i'm not sure if anybody will pay attention or anything, but i've had a lot of fun making it. i've still got a few movies to watch. and even though i think he'll return before i finish, i'll definitely wait until Joey returns before i start the list. how could i ever do a movie list without him around? he is totally the king.

well, that's pretty much it. i've really missed being at tvDOTcom and i hope that i'll have some free time to hang out here, at the forum, and on MSN. junior year has proven to be as tough as everyone said it would be. i'm already completely burned out, and it's only november. but nevermind that, hope to see you guys soon!

    whoa, hello kids. how long has it been since i've blogged? too long, and i'm really sorry. i have missed all of you tons. i've got to make this short for reasons that, if you keep reading, you'll hopefully understand. and with that, the list;

-well, school ended. that is kind of an obvious announcement, but it's the best thing that's happened in a while. i really don't remember my grades, but i remember they were good so that's really it.
-i started driving school. BOO! it sucks. every monday and wednesday for a month. and that means that i have driving school on my motherf*cking birthday. but i'm over halfway done, only three sessions left, so that's good. in-car is another story though. i did drive, in a parking lot with my dad, and i've never been so terrified in my life. i'm definitley not doing my official in-cars until i'm less scared for my life.
-i've got a semi-job, semi being the operative word. my aunt and uncle flip houses and i started helping them with one last week. they both know how repressing and killjoy-ish my mom is, so they want to help me burst out of my shell in one way or another. i learned how to wallpaper, and my aunt sherrie encouraged cursing all day. yea, my mom doesn't curse or let any family members curse either. yet another reason why i dislike her strongly.
-went to Gatlinburg, Tennessee on vacation. i LOVE it there. i can let my redneck flag fly. seriously, if you've never been, drop whatever you're doing right now, make the trip, and just wallow in the cheesiness. right after we got back from that, we went to visit family in Nowhereville, Indiana. it was most definitely the smallest town i've ever been in, smaller than i remember. but my cousin Sharon's brisket is the freaking BOMB, it's the only reason i went. she has to teach me how to make it. but yea, by the end of the trip, it was to the point where if we saw anymore cornfields i was going to crush my own skull.
-i'm not sure if i've told you guys, but my mom is in school right now. she is constantly on the computer, that's why i can never be on it. i'm not kidding, at one point she was on it for a straight week and only breaked to use the batheroom and sleep. she's also been super touchy and irritable, more than usual, which is not spelling good things for me and my dad. but she graduates at the beginning of august, so then we can all breath a little easier.
-and finally, MY BIRTHDAY IS WEDNESDAY! and i'm turning the sweet sixteen! my mom is actually making me throw a real party and that's on sunday. knowing me, the whole thing will blow up in my face. and don't forget, the fabulous France shares a birthday with me, so send the girl some love.

    1. SUMMER BREAK IN:

and only six days of actual school left.
two of which are half days.
    hellyes

    2. i'm really sorry i've ditched this site for the past two weeks, again. i've got a valid reason this time though. for the past week i haven't been able to log in to anything on the internet. absolute murder. the site randomly let me in today so let's hope it keeps doing so.

the week before last really sucked. more drama with Jordan. she ran away from home late at night, so her mom made us come over. long story short, the cops came and told her that if there's ever a problem like this with her again, they aren't leaving her at her house . i guess she didn't really care, because she did the same thing the next day, and her parents actually took her to the hospital to get 'evaluated'. that night, she stayed with us so her mom could get a break. then Jordan got all angry because she thinks her mom is goning to put her in foster care and that was like, the first step. then my idiot mother is like 'she will if you keep acting like this'. i mean, it's true, but she didn't need to say it that bluntly. since then, i haven't heard anything on the home front, but she's definitely turning into someone i don't like. i really wish i could help her, all of her friends do. but she's really starting to run with the wrong people and treating the people who really care about her like sh!t. if she alienates everyone, she's gonna be completely alone, and i just don't want to see that happen.

last week was better. completely long, boring, and pointless, yes, but better. this weekend was really busy. on saturday, it was Aunt Dena's 80th birthday, and sunday it was my cousin Lauren's graduation party. and friday, i've got my friend Shelley's Sweet 16. i guess all this partying has made my mom decide that i have to have a big Sweet 16 for myself this summer, even though i really don't want one. but whatever, since i've never actually had a real party (pathetic, right?), my friend Sam is gonna come over next weekend to help me plan it. and that's pretty much it, so it's not like you missed much.

    3. this week in music;

The White Stripes - Blue Orchid

my favorite song of the moment. the perfect vocals, lyrics, instrumentals, and video all rolled into one.
    something better than nothing.
something better than nothing, it's giving up.
we all need to do something.
try to keep the truth from showing up.

    Nine Inch Nails - Discipline
not as dark or depressing as their other stuff, but it's still heavily addicting and just a great song all around.
    i need your discipline.
    i need your help.
    i need your discipline.
you know once i start i cannot help myself.

Death Cab For Cutie - I Will Possess Your Heart

everything Death Cab does is genius. their songs are always freaking phenomenal. this is their newest, and i'm absolutely in love with it.
there are days when outside your window,
i see my reflection as i slowly pass.
and i long for this mirrored perspective,
when we'll be lovers, lovers at last.

The Kooks - Always Where I Need To Be
just a really fun, catchy song that's making me long for summer even more than i already was.
    say whatever you want.
oh, I could never judge you.
be whoever comes into your head.
oh, you know I'll take you there.

    the end.
    seriously, just six more days,
    then i'm capital f-r-e-e
    FREE!
    oh, how sweet it is

    1. SUMMER BREAK IN:

    2. hey guys. sorry for skipping out on last weekends blog again, but this week has been really tough. as some of you already know, last weekend was uber-traumatic for me. i think i've told you about how my best friend's parents are getting divorced, right? well, anyways, she's been having a really hard time with it (i mean, anyone would), but she hasn't been talking about it to anyone. he behavior has been getting more extreme and last saturday i found out that she actually tried to set her house on fire, and her mom wanted to send her to a mental hospital. i nearly crawled out of my skin. the thought of my best friend in a psych ward just about killed me. i even had a nightmare about it that night. i hardly ever have strange nightmares like that, and if i do, i don't remember them.

the next day, her mom called my mom saying that Jordan (the best friend, jsyk) had run away. so both me and my mom ran outside to try and help find her, and she was seriously right in front of our driveway with her mom. we all went back on our deck and talked about stuff for a really long time. i tried to give the best advice i could, and just tell her that if she ever needed a friend, i'm there, always and forever. after the whole thing ended, my mom was like 'wow, you were amazing. where did that come from?' lol, thanks for the faith mom. but all this week, jordan hasn't seemed as angry as usual, so that's good.

then yesterday, after i thought things were on the upswing, i found out that my grandma had a seizure at the doctor's office. apparently, she has them all the time, but it still scares me. i witnessed one when i was about nine, and it was one of the most terrifying things i've seen up to this point. we went to see her today, and she kept shaking and getting dizzy and stuff. i'm not sure if that's a big deal, but it definitely broke my heart a little bit. ok, a lot.

now that i've gotten all that sh!t off my chest, i wanna thank JD, Joey, and France for talking to me last weekend. you guys basically saved me, thanks

    3. this week in music;

    Blink 182 - I Miss You

ok, so i really should hate Blink 182, but i seriously love this song. it's really different from their usual crapiness, and of course, i love the random Nightmare Before Christmas reference.
we can live like Jack and Sally if we want.
where you can always find me,
    we'll have Halloween on Christmas,
and in the night, we'll wish this never ends.
    video.

Foo Fighters - Let It Die
if anybody was actually wondering where my name on the new forum came from, this song would be it. it's a really epic tune, and it rocks hard, as do all the FF songs i love.
heart of gold but it lost its pride.
    beautiful veins and bloodshot eyes.
i've seen your face in another light.
why'd you have to go and let it die?
    song.

    Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars

story time. so i forgot about this song for a while, and then i heard it again, and i was like 'wow, that song is awesome', so i got hooked again. that was a really sucky story, but it's still an awesome song.
    forget what we're told.
before we get too old .
show me a garden that's bursting into life.

    video.

    The Killers - My List
ever had a song that actually helps you get through some hard times? well, this song was that for me this week. IMO, every killers song is amazing, but this one has been completely moving me lately.
i need those eyes to tide me over.
i'll take your picture when I go.
it gives me strength and gives me patience,
but i'll never let you know.

    song.

    the end.
sorry i haven't been around, like, at all.
and i'll be really busy next week, too
    i just keep chanting in my head;
    summer, summer, summer, summer...

    1. SUMMER BREAK IN:

    2. well, this has been just another filler week until summer. some good stuff did happen. my grades in spanish and algebra are going up, which is good and extremely necessary. i finished my first to projects in photo, and got good grades on them. click to see the first and second (bad quality, because i had to take a picture of a picture, but whatever). this weekend is pretty packed with stuff. tomorrow, i'm volunteering with the girl scouts at a SMA walk. i'm excited, because it's actually a really good cause, and we got free t-shirts. sunday, i'm going my cousin Joanna's baby shower, because there haven't been enough pregnant women in my family. sh!t, i'm the next youngest girl . but the best part of this week was definitely tuesday. I GOT A CAR! yes, i'm aware it's a little soon after i got my temps, but there's a story of course. it's always been the plan for my grandma to give me her car, and then for her to get a new one. but she got a new one first, and there was no room for two cars and her condo. so boom, her old car is mine. take a look;

not my dream car, but it's still pretty cool. and even though it's like, half as tall as me, it'll get me around perfectly fine. now all i have to do is learn how to drive...

    3. this week in music;

She Wants Revenge - True Romance

quickly becoming one of my all time favorite bands. this is such a fun/creepy song, and those are hard to find.
i know that you never loved me.
i know that you never cared at all.
    maybe just one more dance,
cause that's as close as you're gettin' to a true romance.

    video.

    The Kills - Sour Cherry
definitely an addicting song, been listening to it for pretty much the entire week straight.
made my blood thump saturday night.
make my heart beat double time.
now i'm only sour cherry on the fruit stand, right?
am i the only sour cherry on the fruit stand?

    song.

Lostprophets - A Town Called Hypocrisy

another great song that i listened to over and over again this week. the lyrics from this one really grab me, and that's probably why i like it so much.
    save your sympathy.
who do you think you're fooling?
    everything is dead.
    now you welcome me,
    to a town called hypocrisy.
    video.

    Radiohead - Airbag
i mean, Radiohead is amazing, so why not put them in the blog? this is currently my favorite song of theirs.
in a deep, deep sleep of the innocent,
    i am born again.
    in a fast german car,
    i'm amazed that i survived.
    an airbag saved my life.
    song.

    the end.
so, next week is just gonna be another week,
    waiting for summer.
but it's getting closer, i know.
    things are already heating up

    1. SUMMER BREAK IN:

    2. so nothing really eventful has happened this week. grades in spanish keep going up. yay. grades in algebra keep going down. boo. everybody and their mama has been sick, including me. and i gave it to my mama. oh, sweet karma. my friend's appendix burst. ouchies. and my second bell is really boring without her. selfish ouchies. my apologies for the caveman speak, but i've seriously felt like a caveman all week.

    3. a book and a movie;

    Into the Wild

"So many people live in unhappy circumstances and yet will not take the initiative to change their situation because thy are conditioned to a life of security, conformity, and conservationism, all of which may appear to give one peace of mind, but in reality, nothing is more damaging to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure future. The very basic core of a man's living spirit is his passion for adventure."
we're reading this book for english cla.ss and so far, it's amazing. definitely the best book i've ever been forced to read for school. and actually, it might be one of my new favorite books ever. trust me, i'm by no means a nature girl, and this book still touches me. i'm definitely excited to finish it and watch the movie.

    Young Frankenstein

"Oh God in Heaven! What have I done?"
so i watched this movie after a kind of heavy week, and it seriously made me feel so much better. even though it's a movie from the 70's, the jokes still stand up and i laughed my ass off at every single one. i don't know if i'll ever be able to take a monster movie seriously again. i know, you aren't supposed to take those movies seriously anyway, but i'm a wimp. but still, this movie was amazing. ps; Blazing Saddles and High Anxiety are awesome Mel Brooks movies that i watched this week, too. if any of you are ever down, watch one of them, and you'll feel better. doctor's orders. and in this scenario, i'm totally a doctor.

    4. this week in music;

The Raconteurs - Salute Your Solution

a crazy little addicting song. and Jack White is king, so anything he does is gonna be gold in my book.
i got what i got all despite you,
and i get what i get just to spite you.

    video.

Forever The Sickest Kids - Whoa Oh! (Me vs. Everyone)
another song i got addicted to this week, probably because some of the lyrics hit pretty close to home on my life's current state.
why do i put myself in these situations?
    whoa oh, whoa whoa oh.
i keep pushing myself even though i can't take it at all.

    song.

    Eisley - Taking Control

so i'm totally not telling you where i heard this song, because you would stone me in the town square. but it's a great song anyway, and i've been singing along with it for a few days straight.
you've been making a joke of our lives,
and you've been letting us go.
you've been taking control of our lives
and you've been letting us go.

    song.

Muse - Map of the Problematique
one of the most amazing bands ever. and this is one of my favorite songs off of their most recent album, which i listen to constantly.
fear and panic in the air.
    i want to be free,
    from desolation and despair.

    song.

    the end.
this blog is the cap on another bad week.
i'm really starting to get tired of those
next week, i've got friday off.
and i plan to spend all of it on the computer,
so you better be around. because for once, i will be too.
    *snaps for that mess

    1. SUMMER BREAK IN:

    2. again, sorry i didn't blog last week. i've just been so freaking busy. these past two weeks have been eventful to say the least. i spent a lot of it working on my NHS application thing, which took forever. but i turned it in on wednesday. thank you, ton of bricks, for finally getting of my shoulders. it's been real. also, we finally finished macbeth. thank god, i was starting to say 'tis' in everyday conversations. i was sick on monday. it was either allergies or a cold, but it seriously felt like someone turned my face inside out. i've sneezed and coughed more in the past week than i have in my entire life. but there is good news; i saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to geico. kidding. last weekend, went to a sleepover with a bunch of my friends. we watched my two favorite movies, Sweeney Todd and Moulin Rouge. and i stayed up until 5 am. i am skilled. but the biggest news of the week is, I GOT MY TEMPS! learners permit, for any of you who don't know what that means. i can drive! with an adult, at least. but i'm scared out of my mind to get behind the wheel, so who knows when that will happen.

    2. eventful week in television, so i'll pick my favorites;

    Battlestar Galactica, Season 4

my favorite show, back after after over a year, hell yes. it kind of lost that status after being gone so long, but by the looks of the first two episodes, it'll raise back to the top soon. i liked the second one better, but both were pretty great episodes.

    Torchwood, Season Two

if you saw Exit Wounds, you know why they're crying. i believe we were all crying as well. even though i read spoilers and knew it was gonna happen, the episode got me really choked up. in my opinion, it was definitely the best of the season, and the entire series as well.

Owen: Give me one good reason why I shouldn't keep bloody screaming.
Tosh: Because you're breaking my heart.
. even though i definitely enjoyed the first, season two was so amazing. god, i'm so hoping for a third season. Torchwood just gets better and better.

    4. this week in music;

The Black Keys - Strange Times

love this song. and the video, with the laser tag, lmfao.
    kings and sons of god,
traveled on their way from here
    calming restless mobs,
easing all of their, all of their fear.
    video.

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Berlin
one of my favorite bands. and i've become addicted to this song.
i've been fooled by the lover,
    fooled by the sinner,
fooled myself into thinking i was living.
    video.

Elliot Smith - Needle In The Hay

such a beautiful song, in an amazing scene from The Royal Tenenbaums. the best scene in an awesome movie.
    she's wearing your clothes,
head down to toes, a reaction to you.
you say you know what he did,
    but you idiot kid,
    you don't have a clue.
    video.

Shiny Toy Guns - You Are The One
i know i've used this song in a blog before, but i can't get over how much i love it. it's amazing.
    you are the one,
    you'll never be alone again,
you're more then in my head,
    you're more.

    video.

    the end.
again, sorry i've been so busy.
    trust, i wish i wasn't.
but really i can just feeel summer.
    and i can't f*cking wait

Song of the Blog: Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Berlin

  • 29Mar 08

    1. i don't even know when summer break starts, but when i figure it out, the countdown will start

    2. spring break was, exacatly what i wanted it to be . i got the entire week to myself, parents were gone every day. it was awesome.

right about now is when everybody starts getting reeeeeeeally desperate for summer. like, nothing else matters except for getting out of school. and i don't know if that's ever been as true as it is this year. i just want sophomore year to be done.

    since i've got nothing else to show you, i'll do this. we've been rumaging through my aunt's house for old pictures, and we've found a ton. hopefully i'll find more soon. but here are some of them;

yes, i was born a coal miner's great grand daughter.
i believe my great grandpa is the one right in the middle.
note; this was taken in 1914.

my grandma when she was a little one.

    my aunt eldena.
we found lots of pics like this. girlfriend obviously liked to take pictures of herself.

    my grandma and grandpa.
otherwise known as the the greatest grandparents ever.

my mom when she was in high school.
i know, we look exactly alike.
    shut up about it.

Aunt Leola, Grandma Von, and Aunt Eldena.
in their gospel trio The Tipton Sisters.
nice white gloves and poofy hair, ladies.

    saved my favorite for last.
my grandma with her parents and all her brothers and sisters.
and people wonder how my family got so big.

    3. so, a lot of this week has been spent listening to music. and since this week wasn't depressing, there wasn't a lot of depressing music. here's some of the fun songs i've been dancing to in front of the computer;

Be Your Own Pet - The Kelly Affair

basically like musical coffee. it's kept me awake for the past five days.
    it could be dangerous,
    living in this valley.
everybody here parties all the time.
everybody here's got sex on their minds.
    eerybody here is popping pills.

    video.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Cheated Hearts
come on, one of the world's most amazing bands. and the video is hiiilarious.
cheated by the opposite of love.
held on high from up, up, up, above.
    video.

The Mars Volta - Wax Simulacra

gotta love the craziness that is The Mars Volta.
    bring me the tame.
    witness germinates in the child.
    that word of mouth stutters.
    blink at the lonely dice.
    video.

Does It Offend You, Yeah? - Let's Make Out
probably my favorite song of the moment. the video is lame, but the song is awesoooome.
    i can't control myself.
when I see you there's no one else.
when I get down all by myself,
you're the one that I think about.
    video.

    the end.
god, i reeeeeeeeally don't want to go back to school.
    *teartear.
well, snaps for the people who aren't in school anyway.
    i wish i were you

Song of the Blog: Let's Make Out - Does It Offend You, Yeah?

    1. SPRING BREAK IN:

    hell yeah!
don't worry, the countdown to summer break will start next

    2. first off, i apologize for kind of ditching the internet for the past two weeks. i've actually been super busy. since i don't feel like writing a long drawn out story about it, i will list;

-week of the 10th was OGT week. they gave us bagels every morning, thinking it would make up for the two and a half hours of testing they put us through. they also gave us a lame carnival at the end of the whole thing. but the whole week still sucked.
    -so apparently, there was a hole in our attic. snow got in, and when it started to melt. and since the attic is right above my room, guess whose ceiling started to cave in. the damage;

-last friday, went over to my friend Sam's house, and watched an indian movie. rofl. it's not that important. i just thought it was funny that our friend made us watch an indian movie, even though only she understood it. but still, i'm a geek, so i loved the musical numbers.
-last weekend, had to volunteer at some kiddy gymnastic competiton. seriously, it might've been the most stressful four hours of my life.
-missed school on monday, due to illness.
-it rained for like, two days straight. and i'm not even kidding.
-got a letter saying my GPA qualified me for National Honor Society. the application process is bascially insane, but i'm gonna do it anywa. why the hell not?
-somehow, this week, i don't know exactly what time or what i even did, i managed to do something that made my ankle swell up. and i didn't even notice it was swollen until friday. whoa, smooth operator i am.
-took my first picture in Photo I on thurday. it was from a camera i made out of a shoebox. i got to develop it myself and everything. and the picture actually turned out alright. word.
-pep rally on thursday. it was stupid, as usual. but my friends jump roped in it, and the drum line is always amazing.
-we're revamping my aunt eldena's house today. that place is seriously an abyss. so hopefully, i'll come back alive.

yea, for me, that's a lot. i usually don't have that much of a life. but now it's spring break, and i plan on doing absolutely nothing. my idea of fun

    3. since there's been nothing on tv lately, i've decided to get back into reading again. so yes, i can read. and i've picked up some good ones in the past two weeks.

    Zipped
a great novel about an eventful time in a small town. the drama is believable, as are the characters. and books usually fail to surprise me with their plot twists, but this one actually did. i highly recommend it.
    (read in four days)

    Twilight
so all my friends, Helen included, told me to read this one. so finally, i did. it's definitely an amazing book. after almost every page, you have to close the book, take a deep breath, and regain focus. i LOVED it. and i already ordered the second book.
    (read in five days)

now, i'm a few pages into a book called Elsewhere. it's good so far, a really original concept about death. and finally, i hate Macbeth. we're reading it for school, and it makes absolutely no sense. another great thing about spring break is i'm not gonna have to read it for a week.

    4. since i didn't blog last week, you guys get four songs now. all these songs are amazing, so if you've got half a brain, listen.

Armor For Sleep - Hold The Door

i don't wanna be who i was back then.
    i almost lost you again.
i don't wanna see through the eyes of a liar.
    hold the door for me.

    video.

The Kills - Cheap And Cheerful
    love is just a dialogue.
    you can't survive on ice.cream.
you gotta see me dancing dog.
    it's alright to be mean.
    it's alright to be mean.

    video.

    Live - Lightning Crashes

oh, now feel it coming back again,
like a rollin thunder chasing the wind.
forces pulling from the center of the earth again.
    i can feel it.

    video.

Brand New - Sowing Season (Yeah)
before you put my body in the cold ground,
take some time and warm it with your hands,
before it's coming to an end, yeah.

    song.

    the end.
now i've gotta head over to Aunt Eldena's to help out.
    wish me luck, and, well,
hope i still have all my limbs by the end of it

    1. SPRING BREAK IN:

mmmm, it's so close. can't you just smell it?
    *nostril power.

    2. i finally got my grades for last trimester;
    Biology B; A-.
    ECA-B; A.
    Algebra IIA; A.
    Am. History B; A.
    Banking; A.

i'm cool with it, even though i had A+'s in two of those courses before exams. but i haven't gotten straight A's in a while, so i'm good.

but god, this week has been CRAZY! and next week is going to be, too. this past one, we've gotten all new cla.sses. i'll tell you about them, but feel free to skip this if you wish. first period i've got Algebra IIB. i mean, algebra at 7:15 in the morning? that's just a recipe for disaster. luckily, the dumbass teacher just takes notes, and i've got pretty much the rest of the bell to finish the homework. nicee . next bell, i'm a Student Aide for my favorite HS teacher, Mrs. Mecoli. and i'm actually aiding for a Creative Writing cla.ss which is definitely my favorite cla.ss ever. also, i don't have to do anything in there. except for like, alphabetizing. i love it already. third bell is English IIB. i've got Ms. Nally, again. i'm one of her favorites, but she is by no means one of mine. and watching her argue with all the stupid jocks gets old after about five seconds. sometimes it's entertaining, but mostly annoying. fourth bell is Spanish IIB. considering i have the memory of an 87 year old man, this isn't a good one for me. i mean really, i can't even remember what i had for breakfast yesterday. also, the teacher is new, and she seems pretty cracked out. but i can't tell if it's a good cracked out or a bad cracked out. stay tuned. fifth, and final, bell is Photography I. i'm actually liking this one. right now, we're making pinhole cameras, aka cameras out of a shoebox. it's a really chill cla.ss, and the teacher plays Beck and stuff when we're working. so it's fun.

finally (it'll be over soon, promise), next week is the OGT. for those of you who don't know, which is probably all of you, it's the Ohio Graduation Test. you take it as a sophomore, and if you don't pass, no diploma for you buddy. every morning, we take it from 7:15 to 10 am, and the rest of the day, we've still got cla.ss. the freshman still have to come in and chill in homeroom, the juniors and seniors don't have to come to school until 10. uhh, lame much? like their egos weren't big enough. silver lining; the sophomores get a carnival on friday. i'm picturing a grease-esque musical number, but that's just my sick mind going rogue. overall, i'm not looking forward to it. but it's just that, then another week, then spring break!

    3. so currently, we are experiencing a level three snow emergency. that's like, the highest level kids. apparently, this is the worst snow we've seen since '76. and on the news, i heard it referred to as SNOWMAGGEDON . so, i about peed myself laughing when i heard that, but still, it's pretty bad. we are pretty much snowed in, and i couldn't even go outside to take a picture, so this is from the inside of my front door;

    4. so i've finally come up with a musical system that i like. the one on the forum. two a week. and you better listen.

    The Shins - Phantom Limb

i heart the shins. they're amazing. so is this song. the end.
we wander through her mama's house,
and the milk from the window lights,
    family portrait circa ninety-five.
    this is that foreign land,
    with the sprayed on tans,
    and it all feels fine,
    be it silk or slime.
    video.

    Switches - Drama Queen
one of the most fun songs i've heard recently. i just wanna dance every time i listen. and for the past couple days, i haven't been able to stop listening.
but it remains to be seen,
if you've got what it takes to be queen.
just get your ass through my door,
and don't ask for the chance to give more.
    video.

    the end.
well kids, i'm not sure if i'll survive OGT week.
so if i'm not back in ten days,
    send a search party

    1. SPRING BREAK IN:

    2. so, these last two days have been pretty bittersweet. the sweet; i got out at eleven on wednesday and noon today. the bitter; it was because of final exams. none of them went smoothly, NONE of them. the history one was almost too easy, which can be scary sometimes. like, it's so easy i thought i was getting them wrong. but i managed to pull off a 96 percent , and an A in the cla.ss. the banking exam was a different story. i've never actually looked at a test and said to myself 'holy sh!t. i don't know any of this.' and that's what happened. i still don't know the grade, but i know it's not gonna be good. biology was ok, i'm always shaky on that subject. but i got a B on the exam and a A- in the cla.ss. and no more science for the rest of the year. HELLYEAH! the ECA exam was actually the project i told you guys about last time, and that went pretty well, so, snazzies. and the algebra exam, the one i thought was gonna be the easiest, ehemm, wasn't. i don't know how i did on that one. but i had like, a 98.9 percent in the cla.ss before the exam, so i should be fine, hopefully.

new cla.sses start tomorrow. i've got Algebra IIB, which people are hyping to be really hard. English IIB, which is taught by one of my most infamous teachers, Ms. Nally. Spanish IIB, which i remember none of from first trimester. and Photography I, which, hey, this one might actually be fun! also, i dropped my second period gym and now i'm gonna be a Student Aide for my favorite HS teacher. sweetness . one more tri to go kids, then sophomore year is DONE!

    for any of you who are good friends and read all of that, thanks . now check out this random picture i took after exams;

oooooh. whose big feet are those?
    *coughcough.

and oh crap, i almost forgot. i've got two birthday shoutouts this week. one of my best friends, Samantha celebrated her Sweet Sixteen this week. the party is tomorrow. and my Dad celebrated his, ummm, Fabulous Forty-Ninth too. the lame family gathering is sunday. and both of their birthdays were the 27th. weird...

    3. again, i'm skipping the 90's music this time. i think i'll switch off from past music to present music from blog to blog.

    Who's Got A Match?

    three words; i. heart. biffy.

    Novocaine For the Soul.

    three words; weird. equals. awesome.

    Molly's Chambers.

    three words; kick. ass. guitar.

    Only Shallow.

    three words; gotta. love. MBV.

    Swing Life Away.

    three words; best. lyrics. ever.

    the end.
i can say with some hope,
next week might actually be good.
unless the new teachers pack me with homework.
which will not put them on my good side.
    and you all know,
my bad side is not a fun place to be

    1. SPRING BREAK IN:

and now there's only two school days until exams
    *gulp.

    2. ok, so any of you that live in America know that the snow this week has been craaaaaaaaazy. so, not only did we get monday off for presidents day, but we got a snow days on wednesday AND friday. seriously, my school hates giving out snow days, so i was shocked when we had two in one week. too bad it was right before exams, when we could actuallly use some school time. but still, they weren't exactly the best snow days.

    for ECA, which is basically the worst cla.ss ever invented, we had this huge project, the infamous Ad Campaign. like, whenever somebody asks you what cla.sses you have, and you tell them ECA-B, the first thing they say is 'oh man, the ad campaign sucks', so we've been bracing ourselves for it all trimester. of course, the fantastically bright (coughcough) girls in my group decided it would be smart to go on the first day. just fabulous, i know. so of course, we had to do the whole, huge project (two page paper for each person, print ads, commercial, power point, and a lot more) in less than two weeks. and because it was a bunch of girls, tons of drama. but it all got finished in time, and i think we did good. they actually kept our power point as an example. oh yeah, thanks to JD for photoshopping that picture for me. made my print ad look a lot better. now i believe i'll show off the kick ass busniess cards i made;

special thanks to Jordan who actually drew that logo. the girl has skills.

    3.

    Youth; The Soundtrack.

    Drops of Jupiter.

one of the most played songs from when i was younger. hell, i still hear it on the radio sometimes. i've got a love/hate relationship with this song. i hate it because it's so pathetically whiny and love-songy. but at the end of the day, everybody is somewhat of a cheap, pathetic sap. including me.

    Wannabe.

i bet every single one of you who actually reads this stuff was praying i didn't go there. and by there, i mean the spice girls. but they were one of the biggest bands of my youth, and i was a huge fan. i remember getting this song on a free cd from pizza hut. oh yes, how smooth i was.

    It's My Life.

nowadays, i really, really, really hate bon jovi. but back in third grade, one of my friends got me hooked on them. and this was like, my eight year old anthem. and no matter how much i hate them, i still wanna pump my fist a little bit to this song.

    the end.
next week is going to be,
    what's the phrase?
    oh yeah, f*cking insane.
cramming, exams, and new trimester without skipping a beat.
    wish me luck, kids.
    it will be bumpy

    1. SPRING BREAK IN:

and oh yeah, only six full school days until exams
now that one snuck up on me.

    2. so, any of you that live in the U.S. are probably aware that a white massacre hit the midwest earlier this week. and that means, drumroll, we got our first, and probably only SNOW DAY ! plus, we got an hour delay the next day. how sweet is that? and to add to the sweetness, the day after the writer's strike ended! thank god. i know we were all getting pretty restless. other than that, the week sucked. of course, there was valentine's day. probably my most hated holiday. a bunch of my friends were talking about all the stuff their boyfriends got them and all the stuff they got their boyfriends. and i almost barfed. and a bunch of people wore pink. ehemm, nasty. and then there's the gigantic project we have to do for ECA. it's an ad campaign, and it's seriously screwing me against a wall at the moment. it's not just a project, it's our final exam . so if my group screws it up, then i fail the cla.ss. how f*cking fabulous.

    3. i'm tired of throwing nineties music in your face for the time being. so i'm just gonna do a current-music-paloooza. yeehaw, fool.

    A-Punk.

*warning; this video contains extreme kookiness.

    These Things.

*warning; this video contains bondage. or something.

    Lake Michigan.

*warning; this video contains serious singalongability.

    Tony The Beat.

*warning; this video contains nudity. no, seriously.

    Disarm.

*warning; this video contains an abundance of awesome.

    the end.
    no school monday
    thanks, lincoln and washington.
even though i'm gonna have to work on the project that day .
whatever. have a good week everybody.
hopefully yours will be better than mine.

Song of the Blog: These Things - She Wants Revenge

    1. SPRING BREAK IN:

    2. not much happened this week. every day felt like it should be a friday. but of course, only one of them was. i had a debate on tuesday. don't get me wrong, i love to argue, i just don't like to get graded on it. also, the teachers were NOT pleasant this week. like, really, all six of them were asking to get punched. seriously, if you're gonna give us adult-amount of work to do, give us an adult-amount of respect. and oh yeah, don't give us two tests and 'forget' to tell us about both of them.

    3. we rearranged my room today. it's not like i'm a feng shui fan or anything, i just wanted more floorspace to throw stuff on.

    before;

    & after;

better? i think so. bad pictures, so it may not seem bigger, but it really is. i can lay starfish on my floor. it's not like i've had the burning desire to do that, but it's cool that i can now

    4.

    Youth; The Soundtrack.

    Kryptonite.

one of the most played songs that i can remember. and if you take away the whole nineties-rock thing, it's a good song. three doors down has done some great songs since then.

    Mambo No. 5.

ok, say whatever you want, but i loved this song. and if it came on right now, i would get up and dance to it. you know you would too. i think this is one of the most dancable songs of the nineties, it makes me wanna shimmy more than most of the others.

    Graduation (Friends Forever).

yet another song i've heard at the end of every school year. it's definitely a sad one. don't get me wrong, i'm not one of those idots crying when i hear it, but it definitely brings about those i'm-never-gonna-see-my-friends-again sad feelings.

    the end.
sorry i was around like, zip this week.
hopefully i'll be around more once all these projects subside.
ps; Torchwood and Lost are my livelyhood right now.
    watch them.

Song of the Blog: Painted By Numbers - The Sounds

    1. SPRING BREAK IN:

    2. oh my god you guys, i have news; this last week was actually, kind of, better . other than the fact that i've been stressed out beyond belief about projects all week, that is. first off, the evil cyst is GONZO. it came back again once ("THAT THING HAS THREE HEADS" long story, but i think you get the idea from that quote), but now it is no longer. thank god, i was afraid they were gonna have to chop it off. second, i got some more good news. i got accepted to work at the school bank next year! ok, nerdy excitement, but still, do you know how good sh!t like that looks on college applications? and besides, i've never actually been accepted into anything before, so it's a pretty big accomplishment in my eyes.

    3. Lost, Season Four

yes kids, the impossible happened. i was so desperate for new tv that i started watching Lost again. i watched the first season pretty obsessively, and then i stopped because, really, it's a pretty confusing show for a twelve year old. but JD's been yelling at me to watch it again for about forever and a half, i went ahead and did it. and you know what? i actually quite enjoyed it. thank god for that clip show before, or else i would've had absolutely no idea what was going on, although i kind of still don't. too bad Charlie, my favorite character from back when i watched, is dead now. but it's Lost, so you never know.

    4.

    Youth; The Soundtrack.

    Steal My Sunshine.

if you listen to this song, it WILL get stuck in your head. it's been in mine for about eight years. there is no escaping that. but isn't that what most poppy 90s songs are about? ps; damn. people in the 90s really f*cking loved their scooters, didn't they?

    Whiskey Lullaby.

ok, before i get shot in the face for this pick, let me explain. i went through a serious country phase, and Brad Paisley was one of my favorites. i was gonna marry him. i even went to one of his concerts. this is by far his best song. even if it is country, it's still pretty damn good. and may just be the saddest song i've ever heard.

Good Riddance (Time of Your Life).

this is definitely one of the most played songs of my entire life. it's been at every end-of-the-school-year-compilation-slideshow-mabober since, like, fourth grade. and it's gonna be at every other one until i die. thank god it doesn't suck.

    the end.
i'm not having great feelings about next week.
i've got a debate on tuesday
god, i just want this trimester to be over.
i think next tri will be smooth sailing.
then again, i thought that about this tri too .

Song of the Blog: Head Like a Hole - Nine Inch Nails

    1. SPRING BREAK IN:

    2. this past week has been a really crappy one, and surprisingly, it isn't because of school this time. well, school still sucks, but it's not the worst thing. my best friend Jordan, the same one whose parents are probably getting a divorce, broke her back last weekend. she fell off a rock wall. actually, she was dropped of a rock wall, but that's a long story. she fractured her lumbar and i can tell she's in a lot of pain. on sunday we took her a bunch of goodies and flowers and stuff, and she was just, you know, out. she was on a lot of vicodin, and she threw up while we were over there, and she was crying at the same time. i've never seen her like that before, and i felt so bad. but i've been trying to help her throughout the week.

also, i found out that my great aunt Eldina (yea, that's her name. i come from a bunch of weird country folk, remember?) fell down the stairs in her house. she's, like, 85 years old and has severe alzheimers. that's one of the most awful things, because there's not a damn thing you can do about it. she get's worse and worse every time i see her, and it kills me. god, but now she's injured? i'm just, spent about the whole thing. everybody in the family is. i wish someone could help her, but we just can't.

now, something better, that's gonna sound very selfish after all that, but at least it's good news. my medical irregularity is almost completely gone. those of you on the forum already know what it is, but it's a bartholin's cyst for those of you who don't know. you can google that if you wish, but i really wouldn't recommend it.

    3.

    Youth; The Soundtrack.

    When It's Over.

as much as i hate to admit it, sugar ray was capital IT in when i was a kid. this song was their, ehemm, best. even though i'm completely aware that they do suck. don't worry, i've grown brain cells since then, promise.

    Angel.

no, this isn't a song about the show, or the rican. one of those cheesy ones about some skank. nowadays, they're pretty much all cheesy about some skank, but this is one of the first i can remember. and really, i didn't find out until recently it was a sample.

    Soak Up The Sun.

see, this song is still good, have faith in me. the CD this song is from is one of the first ones i remember buying. too bad my dad stole it from me. but whenever he DJ's at some family party, he plays this song, no matter how much the oldies don't like it.

    the end.
hopefully next week is gonna be better,
    but i highly doubt it.
god, i don't think i've ever wanted a break this bad before.
    time, please go faster. thanks

Song of the Blog: Believe - The Bravery

    1. SPRING BREAK IN:

    2. so, my mom's surgery went smoothly. turns out that her tumor had just been sitting there for twenty years, and it had grown to be eight inches long. ehemm, damn. the first few days of her being back were fine. turns out she's actually quite pleasant when she's drugged up. now she's back to being her b!tchy self again, but she still gets to stay home for another week. just my luck, really.

but other than that, life still sucks. i've got a ton of projects. and we're gonna start scheduling and everyone's starting to talk about the future and stuff. and it's scaring me sh!tless, really. also, i've got a newfound medical irregularity. it's nothing really, and it's not herpes, promise. but if i talked about it on here, i'd get banned. so, next.

    3. Torchwood, Season 2

ehemm, amazing much? i was so looking forward to this episode, and it even exceeded my expectations. IMO, it's better than most of the episodes from season one. it was much with the fun, but it was also dark and mysterious, cla.ssic Torchwood. and that ending just left me desperate for more episodes. come on, did you people see that trailer? season two is going to be suh-weet.

    4. ok, so let's get one thing straight; YOU didn't listen to fabulous music when you were seven, so don't you dare hate on me. i'll try to include one 'still good' song each week, but really, it wouldn't be any fun if this weren't cheesy. now, on with the show.

    Youth; The Soundtrack.

    Follow Me.

storytime. when i was in fourth grade, me and my cla.ss were on our way back to school from a field trip, and one kid started singing this song. and then another kid, then another kid, then another kid, then everybody was singing it. no joke. so this song is always gonna have a random, cheesy place in my heart because of that.

    Under the Sea.

you know me, i'm a disney freak. and i had to include one of the best disney songs. every time this song comes on, i just have to sing along, jamaican accent included. i know, if only you could be a fly on that wall.

    Bent.

ok, so THIS is the still good song. Matchbox Twenty is amazing, and if you can't at least appreciate them, then you really shouldn't be my friend anymore. this is one of the earliest songs i can remember really stirring me, and it still does. you gotta love it.

    the end.
i wish i could tell you that things are gonna get better soon,
    but there's a good chance they aren't.
all i've got is spring break on the horizon.
    *teartear.
    but whatever, it's there somewhere.
    and ohyeah,
    NO SCHOOL MONDAY!
thank you martin luther king jr.

Song of the Blog: Tear You Apart - She Wants Revenge

    1. SPRING BREAK IN:

    2. so, my mom's in surgery right now. i don't really know what to think right now, but i just hope she's okay.

in more bad news, my best friend's parents are probably getting a divorce. i'm not exactly fond of either of them, but i'm worried about her. she isn't the kind of person who tells you how she feels, no matter how close you are to her. she said that her and her sister don't really care, but i know that can't be true.

there actually is some good news this week. next week, i'll be able to get my learner's permit! ok, so i'm not getting it next week, but i'm close enough to it. so that's not exactly good news for the people who are gonna be on the road at the same time as me, but hey, i can't please everyone.

    3. ok, so i've been hearing a lot of 90's songs lately, and i've gotta say, they've been inspiring me. as a kid of the 90's, i grew up with most of the later ones, no matter how non-old-school some people say i am. and since my blog is so empty these days, i figured i would just give you guys a bunch of songs from my past. this isn't a countdown, just a random list in no particular order. and yeah, my music taste back then is just as weird and random as it is now, so brace yourself.

    Youth; The Soundtrack.

    Smooth.

ok, this is a great song. whether it's now or then, doesn't matter. if you played this song right now, i'd be rocking out. we all would.

    S Club Party.

you guys don't even know, i was obsessed with S Club 7. they were my favorite band. i watched their tv show all the freaking time. i even had dolls. all their vids are cheesy, but this one is the most, hence why i picked it.

    Iris.

although i'm not a GGD fan, this is another song that stands the test of time. i swear, i heard it the other day in bio, and both me and my lab partner were humming and swaying to it. you can't help but be infected by the song.

    the end.
the next couple weeks are gonna be difficult,
and i probably won't be around a lot,
but i'll make a grand re-entry as always. promise.

    1. uggh, the last day of break is sunday. and i'm very, very, angry. 20 days of vacation. you wanna guess how many days i got to myself? ONE. i wish i had more of those days. god, i don't even know if i can describe to you guys how much i don't want to go back to school. at this point, life is just a series of countdowns. to the spring break, then summer break, then the next winter break, blahblahblah. i just want it all to be over so badly.

    that being said;
    SPRING BREAK IN:

honestly, these countdowns make things go faster. i don't know why, but they do.

    2. well, i don't really know how to ease into this subject, so i'll just say it flat-out; my mom has a tumor. her doctor is almost positive it isn't cancerous, but she obviously has to get it removed anyway, and there's always the chance that somethingis actually wrong.one of the main reasons i love this site is because you guys let me vent about my mom, so you guys pretty much now how i feel about her. but no matter what, she's my mother and i care about her, and i hope she's ok.

    3. since i have nothing to talk about except for the above, i'll just do some music videos.

    New Slang.

god speed all the bakers at dawn,
may they all cut their thumbs,
and bleed into their buns 'till they melt away.

    Big Casino.

well there's lots of smart ideas in books I've never read.
when the girls come talk to me I wish to hell I had

    Kingdom.

if there's a kingdom beyond it all,
is there a God that loves us all?
do we believe in love at all?
    I'm still pretending I'm not a fool.

    the end.
i'm gonna go back to being pretty much non-existent around these parts.
but next stop; spring break .
uggh, hopefully it'll come sooner than later.

    1. OMGAHH, IT'S 2008!
    HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

    2. my soul feels so empty without a countdown
but don't worry, i'll be starting one for Spring Break once the numbers get a little lower.

    3. ok, so i know you guys are probably sick of all these long, profound monologue-ish blogs, and you want a happy new years blog, but i've just got to get this out, so bare with me. when all my friends were leaving, i had absolutely no idea what was happening and why everybody was blowing the popsicle stand. then someone finally told me what was up. thank you for that, dude.

let me start by saying, i've survived the massacre, and i'm not leaving. i'm young, and my opinion doesn't matter much to people, but here's how things look from my perspective; we can't let this one thing screw it all up. you guys know, i'm right in the thick of high school, an absolute breeding ground for drama. and we don't need any more of it here. none of us are perfect, none of us are the sh!t, and we've all got problems. and i just say that we should all be here for eachother throughall thehard times.

and one more thing. i know we're all sick of fakers and f*ckers popping up all over the place, so let me just take this oppurtuinity to say that i am real, and i have confidence that the people i roll with are too. listen, i'm an awful liar. i can't fake liking people, not even over the internet. so if i've ever left you a comment, called you a friend, or laughed with you at the chats, that is real. never doubt that, ever.

    ok, i'm done. *deep breath.

    4. i could tell you about the murder mystery party my mom threw for her and her crazy redneck cousins, but it was stupid enough while it was happening. so, no. also, i just went to a new years party. and i finally got to sit at the grown up table. i'm a dork, i know, but it was a big step. mommy, i'm a big kid now

    5. seeing as i finished up my music countdown,
i thought i'd give you guys some videos that i thought sumed up the themes of the week, metaphorically speaking.

    WAR;

    White People for Peace.

there was purpose to be served, there were fortunes to be earned, before a peace could be called to stop the fighting.

    & LOVE;

    You Are The One.

you are the one. you'll never be alone again. you're more than in my head. you're more.

    the end.
    happy new year everybody!
thank god even-numbered years are always better.
