Assassin's Creed is is...wow! The leading man is actually attractive and helps draw you into his story. The voice acting is great. Anyhoo, I may do a review on it later. I am all in this game. I've played it everyday since I purchased it for my b-day. The last game that I was into like this was Oblivion(which I'll have to start all over because I have no idea where I am or what I was doing). I love Oblivion. It just takes so much time and when you're playing it you really have to just concentrate. Not too much time can pass before you play it again. It's not like my Need For Speed which I have not played in ages but I can pick it up and get right back into the story.
If you have not picked up Assassin's Creed II, seriously, go pick it up. They filled this game to bursting with goodies. It's worth the dollars(or whatever your form of currency is).
Speaking of picking up things. If you're a reader check out a couple of books by Stieg Larsson.

Hey all. I am playing with my bday gifts. I did not have a party. I enjoyed an evening of shopping and dining. Here are two of my gifts.
NOTE: Took out the other pics because they were not showing in my blog. The pics were ofThe Wizard of OZ Anniversay Pack
and of the Assassin's Creed Pack that came with the game, an Ezio figurine, and a book.
Life is good.

Hello GS fam. How have you all been? I miss your awesome blog entries. My c.lass and athletic schedule fills my days. Even now I'm taking a little break from school work. I did my Psychology homework and am turning the television back and forth from the 'Skins game to Lie to Me. I love that show. Right now the Redskins are down 17-0. They have possession and it's first-n-goal on the 5 yard line.....Touchdown made by Devin Thomas...Score 17-7.
I came to the site to see what new games are coming out and to check on some of your blog entries. I like Katamari's pumpkin avatar. Oh, Friday night I saw the new Saw movie. Saw VI. What a creepy movie.(spoiler) I'm ready for that cop who's the new jigsaw to be caught. I'm tired of him.Jigsaw's wife needs to stop while she's ahead.I think, in the next movie, Jigsaw's wife and the bad cop are going to come head to head. Who do you guys think will win? Will she kill him or he her? Lots of cool movies are coming out this holiday season...
Oh before I go *clears throat* HOW DO YOU LIKE THAT ORANGE CRUSH!! BRONCOS UNDEFEATED!!

I am angry. Angry at the presentation and play mechanics of NCAA 10. I purchased the game on Thursday evening. Excited that I was going to get a college game on par with the Madden game I'm playing. I like that I can rise as a college athlete and get drafted into the pros. Man am I fired up with disappointment! NCAA 10 has Erin Andrews following you through your college career. There are cameras following you but you can not see them and there is no after-game interviewing. It's not that sophisticated. The game can do without this addition especially if it is at the cost of actual game play and on the field visuals. This game, outside of the Erin Andrews bit, looks like s***. It does not look like you are playing on a next gen console. I mean really guys. This is bull.
As a wide receiver you have a circle under your feet, or star. When the quarterback throws the ball you can barely see the yellow circle indicating the spot where the ball will travel to. Catching the ball will make you want to spit and cuss the television out. The QB will throw balls right into the hands of the opposition regularly or right into a defensive backs helmet. The fans are one big ugly color. One fan is not detectable from the next. Camera angling is the worst. When a play is done, the camera swivels on the field literally on the green of the grass giving your eyes major strain. The video highlights of your game look exactly like the on the field game, ugly. I thought the day of little people catching a little ball was over.
Many people give this game a raving review. Pointing out the ability for on-line customizable teams and plays and the graphics, no less. What are they seeing in the graphics that I'm missing? I'm serious people. The graphics look like old Sega Genesis graphics and PlayStation 1, except for the part where Erin Andrews speaks. That particular spot is made to look like the half time show in Madden 10. That is a horrible combination. In this game you can upload your highlight videos and pictures and be a part of a leader-board but really people does being able to do that make NCAA 10 a great game. Am I missing something? I think we've been duped by flashy new toys to play with in the game sacrificing streamlined mechanics and several other particulars. One of which is the ability for your road to glory athlete to raise his attributes level. No matter how many balls I catch in practice I have not received any new additions to my attributes. After every practice you are supposed to see your practice results showing how many points you've received for that practice. After I made the first string spot on my team I have no longer been given a breakdown as to where I've earned achievement points. The achievement points I do receive are temporary ones from participating in an evening event.
I do not think this football game is good. I will not complain about the cost. Sixty bucks is the set price for most if not all next gen games and oh well but dang do I wish I'd played the game prior to purchasing it. My current plans are to get my man to the NFL and then trade the game in.

I purchased Madden 10 last week. More so because my brother-in-law was on my behind to play. I was taking my sweet time but he hurried the process. My first impressions are that the visual quality is awesome. I'm sure the gamedetail can and will be improved but, this time out, a good job was done on making the fans and players look a little more like real people. I am a Madden fan who enjoys the little things along with the major upgrades. For example, Ilike the game-play movie that runs when the game begins, interacting with the crowd after a big play or seeing the coach of the opposing team yell at his players after they flub up big time. Yes I get pleasure at seeing the players get into trouble. Now, I know Madden takes a hit for its commentary but I actually like hearing Chris Collinsworth's voice. He is one of my favorite football commentators. Not a bad replacement for John Madden. I enjoy the half-time show with Fran Charles and Alex Flanagan. It gives the game more of a visceral feel for me. I will not be surprised if the technology improves to where the players look like Fran and Alex eventually. The Pro-Tak system, where up to nine guys can tackle one player, is crazy. Crazy awesome.
I've played on-line once and have not come to a conclusion on how I feel about the on-line play. I know that I do not like how the game slows down. But I'll play on-line more and see how it goes. I think Madden creators do just enough to wet Madden fan appetites but really do notcome out of the gates with a big bang. EA Madden creators remind me of a football team who, in the off-season, upgrade different positions but really do not come out with a team recipe that fits perfectly. Some pieces that worked just fine were removed and greatly needed pieces were added. I am sure, though, that eventually a Madden game will come out that will blow Madden fans away.
Now off to college football opening Saturday. The season has begun! Woooooohooooo! Maryland plays Cal State tonight. If I was still in Cali guess where I would be. Maryland smacked Cal State in the mouth last year so this is a much anticipated rematch for Cal.
Students have a 4 day weekend because of the Labor Day holiday. If you have any, what are your plans? My brother-in-law might barbecue or I might have everyone at my place.

I purchased Batman: Arkham Asylum a couple of hours ago. I've cracked the case but have not yetbegun to play. I had some work to do. I'm looking forward to playing this awesome looking game. I watched the 360video review, not bad. One person complained that there were too many spoilers in it. For me, the review was just right. The game seems so full of awesomeness that what the reviewer shared does not dim the light of the game. I'm quite sure there are more than enough surprises that a reviewer can not cover in a 7 minute video. Check out the 360 review for the game. It is detailed and clear. If you have not purchased the game the review just might help you make a decision to pick it up.

I watched the 49ers playDenver in apre-season game today. Denver played liked some(choose your own word). They lost 16-17. Both teams were not impressive. At one point it was 9-0 in the second quarter, 49ers way, with 7 something left on the clock. I was underwhelmed by theDenver QB. He threw several interceptions making the 49ers look better than I believe they are. I know during the pre-season the offensive coaches hold back on showing their whole repertoire but dang can I see some talent.
While watching the football game I completed, for the second time,a NancyDrew game Lights, Camera, Curses. You play as Nancy Drew and are undercover on a movie set for the remake of a 1930's film"Pharaoh". There is a black cat on the set that you have been asked to catch along with uncovering clues to why accidents keep happening. There are many other things happening throughout the game but I will not spoil it for you. There are 26 chapters and an alternate ending depending on your score at the end of the game. This game exercises your memory, your speed, and your listening skills. I played the game twice so that I could experience a different ending.
Madden is finally here but I'm in wine country and my Madden reservation is back at home. I saw that Gamespot scored it a 7.5. I was shocked until I watched the review. Some of the down sides noted were easy interceptions, a new feature in franchise mode called the extra point that, the reviewer said, does not offer much insight, QB sneaks are easy, and commentary is one of the weakest aspects of the game. I'll see for myself when I pick the game up.

I need my football fix now. Much of my television time is of me watching the NFL Network. I need to know and am interested in everything going on in the camps. I like listening to the players speak about their projections of the new season. I'm looking forward to watching position battles during pre-season games. I look for small changes in the uniforms, like changes in depth of color, material changes, small changes to designs of the team mascots, and if anything has been added.
Pre-season is a time where players show coaches what they're worth and, subsequently, the fans also. During pre-season you can gauge the strengths and weaknesses of the team. Most often, many starters do not play in the pre-season games. The secondary offense, defense, special teams players, and rookies get a crack at showing us what they've got. Rookies play especially hard to win positions and probably respect on the team.Veteran players, the starters, are saved for the regular season to keep them from getting hurt and possibly losing them for any period of time.
Many say that pre-season games do not count. I would argue that if they did not matter the NFL would not spend the millions of dollars on them. We'd go from off-season to the beginning of the regular season. Pre-season games, as I have said above, are a time for position battles, a time to win your job by showing the coaches that you, at whatever position, are better than someone else at that same position. If you convince the coaches that you are the best you win a starting position, or, if there is already a starter chosen, you win the 2nd man in.
Player attitudes can also give you a little insight into how the team may possibly fair during the season. Attitude and off the field problems are often a terrible distraction for a football team. Immature, sour players could sabotage working relationships on the field. Attitude and off the field problems with one or two players could indirectly affect all persons on the team.
I need my football fix now. I'm looking forward to seeing in action, of course, that orange crush, my Broncos. With a new head coach, Josh Mcdaniels,Jay Cutler, our ex QB going to the Chicago Bears, and Brandon Marshall, who does not want to be in Denver, this should be an interesting year. The Broncos acquired two 1st round picks, three 2nd round picks, two 4th round picks and one 5th, 6th and 7th round pick during the draft.
Other teams I'm looking at are the Bills who acquired, a game changer, T.O in a trade with the Cowboys. I don't normally look at the Bills but I have got to see how Terrell Owens adds to that team. I'm looking at the Vikings, whom I hope have a Quarterback by the name of BRETT FARVE leading them this year. I'm a Farve fan. I'd love to see him play against his ex team the GreenBay Packers. I'm looking forward to watching Michael Vick get back on the field in Atlanta. Also the Patriots and Eagles are on my radar. I'm interested in seeing how far they go in the season.

What I do not like about Fight Night Round 4is that in the game ESPN, every 20 minutes, gives a sports update but it only talks about baseball and it repeats the same broadcast too many times before it changes to a new sports update. So far, I've only heard twodifferent broadcasts and they both were baseball news.I'm playing a boxing game. I'd like to hear boxing updates and updates from around the sports world. Not just baseball but basketball football etc. At the bottom of the screen there is a sports ticker that has news pertaining to other sports. Lets hear it rather than the game continuing to repeat the tired baseball news that hardly changes. Seriously, it repeats the same broadcast.
Legacy mode has definitely bored me. Getting points to build up your champs attributes is too long and drawn out. On the fight calendar you have to schedule training sessions but you can only haveone session right before a fight, supposedly, depending on the date of your fight. I can deal with that so I thought to schedule my fights later so that I could gettwo orthree training sessions between fights. But nooo. No matter what fight dates I choose I get only 1 training session. The fun is definitely not in it for me. Training is too long and tedious. It's not worth it to end up getting just one or two points added to a particular skill for your fighter.
Unless I'm competing against my friends or on Xbox Live I'm hanging up my gloves.

A couple of hours ago I completed Lost:Via Domus a video game based on the Lost television show. It has 7chapters and if you're better than I you may be able to finish it in 7 hours. I'm a bit nosy when I play games. I usually take the character all around, if permitted, to see what there is to see. There isn'tmuch free roaming in this game other than looking for particular extras instead of going to speak to a character directly. I, for the first time, unlocked all the achievements in the game, an additional 1,000 points to my gamertag. Cool right?
More than not, I enjoyed the game. The jungle areas are impressive. The music is a little haunting. Sawyer and Locke annoy me both in the television show and the game. The only items you can interact with are those that are a part of completing the level. Other than that you will bump into a desk or chair and it will not move. Papers do not fall off desks when you run by. I like more interactive environments. If I push it I want it to fall, bend, or break.
Next, going to a game many of you have already played. I purchased Bioshock but had not played it. So tonight is a Bioshock night. But right now NFL Total Access. Gotta have my football fix.

What's going on?!! Miss you guys. There is no excuse for me not being here other than I'm so tired when I'm not writing papers for school that when it comes to being on for fun I'm like aaah maybe later and the later never happens.
About 3 weeks ago I prepaid for two games.
and
. I have not picked up Fight Night yet. Same reason as not coming to the site. LOL I'll pick it up this week. I know, I know, it's awesome. Another game I want, that I've played, is
Batman: Arkham Asylum (X360).That game is bad arse. I gotta have it. I was just playing around in Game Stop and I stood there for maybe twenty minutes playing it over and over. I had friends with me laughing because I was immediately addicted. The graphics are rich. The movements are fluid. From what I've seen the whole game could be fantastic.A game I was feeling a little guilty about possibly spending money on is
. Yes laugh if you will. I am such a fan. Ghostbusters brings back awesome childhood memories. Something you guys do not know about me is that I was terrified of Stay Puff the ghost. Hilarious, I know. Now I watch the movie wondering what the heck I was afraid of.More games I'm looking forward to owning are,
,
,
,
big fan of this game, and
.That's all for now. See you on your pages.

All work and little play has made me almost dull. But I press on with my studies. Spring break has ended for me and I'm
back to the business of book grinding. I miss you guys and the hot gaming topics of the day and week. I renewed my
xbox live subscription. I was not playing on-line much so I let it go. But now its on like buttered popcorn. Gamertag
SCORPIA1118play. I just beat GOW. That's a vicious game. Whew. Now I have to purchase GOW2. My brother in law is
on me about getting it. My recent purchases are Madden 09 and, as of today, Dark Sector. I'm looking forward to getting
RE5 and Guitar Hero World Tour. Speaking of Guitar Hero. I have become quite the drummer. A close friend and I get
together and have these all nighters where I make some food and we drink ourselves until we feel like we could be rolled
out of the room. It's soda guys. LOL
So whats up with you guys. How are the new additions, for some of you, coming along(could be children or pets)? Whats
the baddest(best)game out you're playing.? How's work or school going? Give me the juice.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all my buddies. School is fabulous, gaming is rare but good, a little snow and ice in my driveway, and a little Doctor Who. That's how you make a long story short. LOL
I missed you all that I "speak" to regularly when I come onto the site. Please leave me a message telling me how you've been. I've even ran into one of you at one of my hang out spots. LOL It's interesting meeting someone in real life that you've known only virtually.
Sunday is a big day for me. I'm hosting a Superbowl party. I'm excited. You guys know how much I love my football. I'm going shopping tomorrow to get the ingredients for my dishes. Big weekend! I'm going to leave my blog now to check on some of you.

A long time huh? I miss my gaming buddies. Life is great. I am on holiday break from school. I purposefully have not spent much time on the site so that I can focus on my studies. I have not played any games throughout the semester. I just found that it would be inappropriate for me to game when I could be studying.
November 18th was my birthday, Tuesday. I celebrated it by going to Dave and Busters and the mall. I did a bit of shopping, played all kinds of games, had an incredible dinner and did neon bowling. I bought Rainbow Six Vegas in place of Madden 09 because of the price. I'm just not ready to spend $54 dollars on it. I'm being stubborn. LOL
I'm playing my new game now and I have a basketball game this evening. I want to hit the gym b4 I go. There is probably so much more I haven't shared but I can't bring it to the fore right now. So spill guys
1. How have you been?
2. What games have you played since we last spoke, and are currently playing.
3. What are your plans for Thanksgiving?
4. What's the biggest gaming news.

I looked at a replay of the Denver and San Diego game along with catching the final quarter on Sunday the 14th . In the final minute of the game, the Broncos had the ball on the Chargers 1 yard line. Jay Cutler dropped the ball as he wound up to throw it and a Charger got it into his arms. Referee Ed Hochuli ruled this an incomplete pass. When the play was reviewed, it was clear that it was a fumble. The difference? The player's arm has to be moving forward with intent to pass to be considered incomplete. A fumble is a loss of the possession of the ball. Cutler's arm was cocked back when he dropped the ball. A fumble. As it goes, after Hochuli's premature call, Denver scored a touchdown and a winning two point conversion. The end result was a 39-38 win for the Broncos.
Starting off the season the Bronco's are 2-0. Cutler has thrown for 650 yards. Fantastic! Even in the toughest challenge yet, in the Chargers, the Broncos look exceptional. Their next game is the 1-1 Saints who lost to Washington in their last game, 29-24.

What an opening night! The Broncos had lost seven straight road games on Monday nights, so, at the start of the game, September 8th, I didn't know what to expect. Denver had a terrible 2007 season. I'd be the first to admit that after John Elway I had no faith in Cutler. I could not see anyone filling the shoes of that great Quarterback. Monday night, Cutler made me pay attention.
Cutler appears healthier and his arm stronger. His passing was fluid and he appeared fearless. His supporting cast of wide-receivers Eddie Royal and Darrell Jackson and my favorite tight-end Tony Sheffler, were on fire throughout the game. I thought I would miss WR Ashley Lelie, now playing for the Raiders, but that position has been filled with awesomely capable athletes.
The Raiders were held scoreless until 2 minutes into the 4th quarter. The Broncos beat and bloodied the Raiders by ending the night with a score of 41-14. Their next game is at home vs. the Chargers, Sunday September 14th. I pick the Broncos because Cutler is a better Quarterback than Rivers. Cutler has a more powerful arm and his accuracy is almost scary. Cutler is also motivated by proving that he and Denver are a team to look out for.
If he plays, the Broncos will have to contain Tomlinson. L.T is beast. The Offensive line will have to work that much harder if the defense collapses and doesn't do its job at containing him. I think, at most positions, the Broncos have a better team than the Chargers.
Finally, the teams I'm looking out for, for various reasons, are the Redskins vs. the Saints. My honey loves the Skins, I'll be routing for them because of love. LOL I'll be looking out for Green-bay because I'm interested in their performance after losing one of the best QBs in history. And the Jets game vs. the Patriots. One, because of Jet Farve, and two because the Patriots have lost an awesome QB, Tom Brady, to injury, for the season.
Whoever said women just watch football for the tight pants, lied. LOL

Books, check.
Pens, Paper, check.
Clothes pressed and ready, check.
Sports bag packed, check.
Car washed, check.
Tomorrow begins my early schedule back to school. I'm taking all morning c.lasses. I love that schedule. I have to get to school a bit earlier, than what is necessary to be on time for c.lass to get a great parking space.
I have a full schedule. Work, school, the basketball team and being a wife. LOL I believe that all of us women have at least a little bit of superwoman within us. Some more than others. My schedule suits me fine.
Today, TNT is airing all of the Lord of the Rings movies. I've been taking breaks here and there to watch them. It is one of my favorite movies. Rather they are three of my favorite movies.
Of course, I have to watch Sunday night football. After the game I will get into bed. Though, I should turn in at 9. That is it. That is all. Goodnight all. And for those returning to school, have a great year.

AAAAAArgh!! I'm so sore guys. I'm having a hard time straitening my right leg. It's so painful when I try to stand or walking around the house. I'm stretching it now as I sit and type. I might have to cancel my walk for tomorrow.
Today, I did a seven mile walk. I was supposed to go to the court to shoot around a bit but, when I returned home, all I could do was lye in the bed. LOL My ankles and feet were screaming at me.
I'm, of course, continuing to watch the Olympics. I haven't watched much else since it's been airing. Track and Field is, I think, my favorite event. I watch all events but Track and Field is one of the best. Jamaican runners have dominated this year.
Just a thought; For those returning back to school, especially, college because you may have already gotten your books for the semester, open them and shake off the rust from the summer. Go through the chapters of your text books just to get a feel for the lessons. When I was a child, my mother would let us have fun, sure, but not until after we studied. She would create daily work for us; reading and math and she would correct it as needed. My mother pushed reading very hard throughout our vacation. When we returned to school, there was not much of an acclamation period to the new year because we had studied throughout the summer.

How are you all? How's the Family? LOL Monday, the 25th, begins the Fall term. Any of you returning to school? I purchased my books at the school store this past Friday. I also did a little shopping. I purchased some new digs. Calvin Klein and Polo shirts and some new bottoms.
Things I still need are;
1. A digital voice recorder. At least 500 MB, no static, should be able to record over 100 hours, should be able to recharge using my computer port(like my cell phone), high quality sound etc..
2. An office desk and chair. We have a study/office in our home that we have not furnished yet. This is our present project. This space needs a sofa, lighting, book case etc..
3. A new car. We have an Impala and a Navigator. My commute from home, to work and to school, is a bit of time on the road. So we are getting a more efficient vehicle. Yay!
4. Work out equipment. I like to work out in the nude so I need my own ½ a gym. I have to keep up my strength, stamina etc. for the basketball team.
5. A bodacious book bag. I'm probably going to a sporting goods store to purchase this. I need it to carry my lap top as well as my books. It also needs to have ample pockets and such.
6. Madden 09. I need to be able to take an awesome break from the study grind.
7. A desk top computer. Being a gaming lady and student that I am, what do you suggest?
8. More digs. I gotta keep it fresh. LOL

The hair on my arms stands erect as I watch the massive amount of performers and the beautiful colors and effects at the opening of the Olympic games . Watching the story being told by the performance is extraordinary. The performers are remarkable by any standards. My oh my, what a sight to see. Even if not a part of your culture, how could a viewer of any cultural not be moved. China has put on their best face for the world. And what a face it is.
Here are some videos I made. They are short but I still hope you enjoy.
The best part for me is seeing the beautiful differences in the Passing of Nations. I absolutely love all the skin colors, all the flags represented and thinking of the pride and togetherness they must feel. I can't help but to think that this is what GOD, The All, The One, The Universe, or by whatevever name you call Diety, must have meant for it to be this way. You think?
