Okay everyone...You can start playing your prelim matches whenever you want. Play everyone on the list of the characters you have signed up for.If a new person is added to your characters list, play them to.

Prelim Rules are:

best 2 out 3 matches

3 stock

neutral stages...you should know what this means by now.

Do not send me any results or pm me and results i dont want to hear about them yet. Just keep a record of your wins and losses(meaning that if you beat someone in a best 2 outta 3 match that is ONE win so your record would be 1-0). I will set a date that they should be finished by and I will ask for the final records after that. Have fun with you matches, and remember sign ups are still open for every character.

Note:

Since there are more than 32 characters with contestants in their list, there will be a few "play-in" matches for some characters. Meaning that some characters will have ot play one more game than others...sorry but its only one more game and it lets more people in and the more the merrier.

odHey guys, its been a while since my last blog post...just havent had much to say. Okay so i have had a brilliant idea and tell me what you guys think. I want to hold a tournament of masters, of EACH character. Thats right i want up to 32 characters present in this tournament...and only one of each. Since there are 37 characters and that cant be done in a tournament style, we are going to have to cut 5 characters, which im sure wont be a problem. Every character will be open for selection, but only ONE person will be able to play that person. So this is the preliminary sign-ups.

As of now, all i need to know is which character you would like to represent in this tournament. If you dont understand what im trying to say here, Ill put it another way. Each character will only be represented by ONE person. Meaning that you CANNOT change your character throughout the tournament. So in this tournament there will only be nobody playing the same character.

As i said, I would just like to know which character you would like to TRY and represent. In order to determine which person gets to represent the character i will have each of you play each other and whoever has the best record will represent there characters. Sign ups will be open until i get a representative of 32 different characters +2 days.(meaning sign ups will close 2 days after i get a representative of every character.)

You may sign-up for as many characters as you like, but only one person will represent them. You can only represent one character as well, so if you win the title for multiple characters you will choose only one and the runner up of the rest will get the title. This is to prevent one person playing a bunch of games(coughunholydeathcough)

Hey all,

I just recently found out that GIMP was free, which is great because i always wanted a program to make myself sigs/banners/avatars. Im not some great artist and i still have alot to learn about this program, but any work that i come up with will be posted in my image sections. If you like my work you can try and request something and ill see what i can do. Ive made a sig and a banner thus far, not sure if i can make an avatar yet.

My banner is MUCH better than my first sig IMO. So if you could comment on them that would be cool too =). Also any tips are welcome. In addition to any of that, if someone could tell me how to get different styles of text,or brushes for GIMP that would be awesome. Thanks!

Spike Master Out!

Hey Guys! After 1 week, 15 hours and 10 minutes im back!!!

Just so everyone knows, I have been suspended for that amount of time and any attempt to contact me within that amount of time was to no avail becasue i couldnt do anything. Im happy to see that wywerns tourney is full, and Im glad to see everyone is happy and doin well.

As for my ranks, anyone that has not been ranked but has played me, is going to have to play me again. Im sorry for this but I cant remember most of the stuff in our matches. Once we play again I will rate accordingly. Id also like to welcome my friend Unholydeath123 to GS!! You should all track him and play him, he is a very formiddable opponent.

If you were curious at all, I was suspended for "spamming a users blog to increase post count and account level." Also just so you are aware, I was not in fact doing this, I was just accused of it. I was merely posting on my friends blog talking to him during our brawls. It must have added up and looked like spamming(not). Anyway, the suspension was bogus but im back!!! I look forward to visiting and commenting soon!

This kid is someone I met on youtube when he said I was "just another wolf user". When we played, though he beat me, he took back his statement saying that I had a different wolf style than most people. This guy has some serious talent, I didnt list his mains because there are SO many, he is good with at least 8 characters. And he can beat me with each one of them, his versatility paired with his combos and exceptional DI make this guy one of the best I have played. The only thing i can think of that he needs work on is maybe his occasional predictable dodge.

Smashbros-King:9.7

King is a very talented player with aerial combos and expert countering. He occasionally misses a counter and is exposed leaving himself open for attack.

Remiasz: 9.5

Remias uses pit, wolf and fox. His best is wolf, and he gives me a run for my money everytime we take the arena. He has very effective combos, and will occasionally finish you off with a meteor smash! His problems lie with his repetativeness, he tends to repeat the same moves over and over until they hit, which is quite aggrivating and a tad nooby(no offense).

Pokemon_Mastr43(My bro;Brawl name:Brwlr; Subname:Trav):9.5

My oldest younger brother likes to call himself the pokemon master. He learns strategies very quickly, so you better have more than one. However, he has the occasional execution problem, and his combos at times get a tad annoying and a little unfair and he tends to be vulnerable in the air.

Kolibe:9.5

KolBIE(he spelled his name wrong on gamespot LOL) has dubbed himself the ganon master.Even though he hasnt played another ganon user, I would almost agree. He plays excellent mindgames and basically tricks you into killing yourself.He is definitely one of my big surprises though, having never heard of him and then realizing he has the skill of the brothers.Kolibe has a strategy that is very effective. However, this strategy becomes repetitive, and seems a little unfair at times.

TheRoy_Master:9.5

TRM is the twin brother of King, and has very twin like skills; he is a great counterer and finishes opponents with the occasional spike. He has difficulties with his combo set ups which leaves him losing damage opportunities.

lilcross4:9.5

lilc used toon link and captain falcon in our matches. This kid has some wicked combos and mindgames and if you get hit once you may blink and have 80 damage. He had some serious mistakes that cost him his life a couple times, and left himsef open occasionally as we all do. Overall he is worth the challenge and definitely play him if you have not.

Dyxnar:9.4

Dyxnar uses Wolf, Fox,Kirby, Link and many other characters which are constantly changing. He is able to make you think he knows what you're going to do before you even do. His combos are lethal and be careful when you are in the air, for he will tear you to shreds there.Right now his only problem is a few minor manuevering mistake

Shantrix:9.4

Shantrix used Sheik and Toon Link in these matches. Shantrix is a very talented player, and will predict your move almost flawlessly each time. Be careful, he's so quick with shiek the match might be over before you get a chance to move. However, though his strategy and combos are effective at first, I was able to identify them and come up with a counter strategy that made victory a tad bit easy. Very good player, worth the match if you haven't played him yet.

TwilightSoldier:9.3

TwilightSoldier mains are Pit, Wolf, and Marth. I've only played him when he was Pit, so this is solely based on that main. TS is supremely talented brawler, and can take your lead from you in a blink of an eye.That is if you're good enough to grab a lead on him. His only problem is at times his strategy gets repetative and can be countered.

MasterMind1177:9.2

MasterMind or M&M uses Samus/ZSS,Falco,and Olimar. He uses samus' arsenal to keep his enemies at bay and out of sync. However, with any character with a reflector you can take this away from him and make him a slightly easier opponent. Also M&M can leave himself vulnerable from the air when he misses an occasional air attack.

Starwars2091:9.2

Starwars uses Marth,Fox,Kirby, and Wolf in that order I believe. I can tell that he is a great brawler with great promise. He has some wicked combos and can rack up the damage quick. However, his problem right now seems to be finishing off his opponent, for example using a damage giving attack instead of a knockback attack when his opponent has high damage.

Mugen_tha_Dream: 9.1

Mugen seems to change his main all the time, but has recently stuck to olimar,who i have not yet played. He can be deadly quick and when he gets on a roll he's hard to stop, and he'll finish you with the occasional spike. His problems seems to fall within his dodging and manuevering skills, at times leaving him open for attack.

Luigi487:9.1

Luigi is another Ike user who is developing at a fast rate, and could become one of the better players on gamespot at this rate. His biggest problem, is leaving himself open while charging smash attacks and predictability.

SmashBrawlerBoy:8.9

SBB or B.J is a talented player who uses Toon Link and Lucario, he thinks on his toes and uses projectiles to keep his enemies at bay. His problem is being able to predict what the other player is going to do, alot of the im able to get behind him and land a couple of attacks on him.

Mikesaniceguy:8.9

I played mike when he was pit and i think link? From what i remembered he was talented and had some combos. He occasionally had maneuvering problems which left him open to punishment(brawl term). If he could watch his vulnerability, he could really improve.

Dryaznbanana9:8.7

Banana uses Falco and Sheik, at least that I know of. He has some excellent set ups and strategies and can really cut into a health percent meter. His problem from what I saw was that he struggles with recovery.

Goosu2006:8.7

Goosu uses Pikachu,metaknight,wolf, or link. Mainly pikachu.. He is an honorable opponent and will give you a hell of a fight, do not take him for granted. In my case, I was able to anticipate his moves and therefore made victory easier.

Marthman7:8.7

MM7 is a good brawler and is Marth and Wolf primarily. He has a good range of techniques and is able to counter relatively well. His counters are his downfall at times, leaving him open to attack, like king.He seems to also have troubles laying attacks on his opponents without them coming back from the edge or countering the.When he is wolf his biggest problems are missing attack opportunities.

Frogloe:8.5

Frogloe or Frog, is known for using Pit and Lucario. He has some good combos and aerial attacks and has the potential to be good. His problem is that he doesnt have enough time to practice and is therefore a little slow with his reaction time and doesnt anticipate his enemies moves to well.

BaseballSGFkid:8.5

BBall Kid uses Ike(from what i remember), its been a while since ive played him so this may not apply anymore. He is a good base character and is able to come up with tactics to neutralize his foes. He occasionally will mess up these tactics and that can hurt him in the long run.

Kirby:8.3

Kirby uses Link and Kirby(as denoted by his name). He has good attack schemes and takes advantage of you when you are in the air. More practice is needed right now for kirby, he needs set up some combos and advance his manuevering.

Flipper5993:8.2

Flipper uses a range of characters such as Rob,Snake, and Sonic. He takes on the advantages of his characters and gives you a challenge and a fun battle at the same time. His problem is execution, he misses combos on the occasion and is sometimes facing the opposite direction of where he wants to attack.

Dman712:7.5

Dman's main is toon link. Dman seems to be the type of player you play when you really want to play when you want to have a fun game, instead of a serious game. He just seems to lack the talent that most of us possess, but can be fixed with practice.

WOO!!! Thats alot of stuff to type.....my fingers are tired. Okay so you have ONE HOUR to finish your match and report to me the result. Now I have a question for yall. Do you want to have two rounds a night or do you want to extend the tournament into the next weekend(1st,2nd,3rd of May)? Please post your opinion that way I know what you want and I know you checked and read this blog. Okay remember the rules:

If your opponent for whatever reason doesnt show up within 15 minutes of your appointed time, then let me know and you will move on. Also, this is important. The first person listed in each match-up is the one tha should open the room. For example with match #1, TheRoy_Master would open the room. okay that should be it, its late and im tired. Hey guys!!!

We only need 9 more people to reach our 64 person tournament goal! So everyone ask ANYONE you havent yet, please please please, we are so close! Ask your friends on gamespot and your friends in real life who have brawl regardless of skill!

Any I'm gonna go over the rules one more time! Okay for starters, the match ups will be posted super late tonight, so you're best bet is to just check back when you wake up thursday morning. On the blog I will have the matches listed, the time its supposed to be played,the brawl codes and brawl names. You will have ONE HOUR to complete this match, and post the result on that blog!!

If by chance your opponent doesnt show online withing 15 MINUTES of your appointed time, you need to let me know and you will move on. If I do not have the results within an hour of when your game should start one of you will be randomly selected to move on(considering both of you are responsible for getting me the information) so I think its only fair to everyone that a winner is chosen.Basically you leave yourself to chance if you dont follow the rules.

Once I have all the information for the first round, I will post a second blog with round two. Yes, we are playing two rounds in one night because of the amount of people in the tournament! Same rules apply, this blog will be up asap, so it all depends on how quickly you guys get me the information!!! If staying up that late is a problem, let me know and ill try to schedule you and your opponent early on saturday(sometime in the afternoon). This is only and exception for round two considering the first round is required to be present!

Okay so those are the rules of the match! Remember you have one hour to complete this(which is plenty of time to do at most 3 matches)! That applies to ALL rounds. Okay, these are all the rules I can come up with. Im really sorry for being so tough, but without these rules it would a)take too long to do this and b) would leave alot of confusion and missed matches.

Remember, in most cases if you dont follow these rules a winner will be either randomly chosen, or you will be DQ'd depending on the rule broken!

Okay! For starters yesterday was a good day for sign-ups! We got 10 people and we are now only 16 people from our 64 person goal! So keep recruiting!!!!

Okay onto the information for the tournament. By 9 PM eastern time on the 24th i will have the bracket and a blog up. If ALL of you could please post on it saying you saw your opponent and match time that would be great. Remember, you must be online for your match time(most people will be at the appointed 10 PM eastern time but some will be different due to schedule conflicts). The tourney is a best 2 of 3 match and you will have an hour to complete your match and get back to me with the information on the bracket blog. There is a time restraint becasue given the vast amount of people in this tournament we are going to have to do 2 rounds per day to get it finished by sunday. I need your result to give you the info for your next match(of which you will have an hour to complete as well)

Please be honest, it is hard enough to conduct a tourney without having to deal with lies. If there is a discrepancy however, I will spectate the match(join your party and jump off the edge) and record the winner myself.

Hello tourney entrees and possible entrants!

First off registration is still open, right now we have over 30 members! My goal is to get to 64 so if all of you could invite your friends, siblings, etc. that would be great!

There are a few things i need to get out there prior to friday, I need everyone to be aware that you MUST be online on brawl by 10 PM Eastern Standard Time on friday. If you are not online by 10 PM EST then you will be automatically DQ'd! I know this seems a bit harsh but its to ensure that things go as planned. This will also be the mandatory online time for saturday and sunday! If you have any problems with the time let me know and we can work something out with you and your opponent. If Im not contacted and you do not get online by 10, then you will be DQ'd and your opponent will move on.

Again, right now we have somewhere around 34 people(give or take a couple) and I would really like to get to 64 that way I dont have to set up a three way brawl or even worse, cut people =(. So please invite ALL your friends to come, after 64 I'd like to get 128 but i HIGHLY doubt that will happen.

Due to the large fad of ranking your opponents(started by dyxnar), I have followed suit and will rank those I have played.Ill give you the name, then the rank, then i will give a pro and then a con of each player. These ranks are based on a curve of all the other players i have played, in other words, this isnt necessarily in comparison to the entire brawling community(because i have not played everyone), but more geared towards those that i have played. These rankings and comments can be changed, but they must be requested in order for me to change them.If i just radomly join your party or vice versa and dont know its for the ranks, i will not change it regardless of the result.

Smashbros-King:9.7

King is a very talented player with aerial combos and expert countering. He occasionally misses a counter and is exposed leaving himself open for attack.

Remiasz: 9.5

Remias uses pit, wolf and fox. His best is wolf, and he gives me a run for my money everytime we take the arena. He has very effective combos, and will occasionally finish you off with a meteor smash! His problems lie with his repetativeness, he tends to repeat the same moves over and over until they hit, which is quite aggrivating and a tad nooby(no offense).

Pokemon_Mastr43(My bro;Brawl name:Brwlr; Subname:Trav):9.5

My oldest younger brother likes to call himself the pokemon master. He learns strategies very quickly, so you better have more than one. However, he has the occasional execution problem, and his combos at times get a tad annoying and a little unfair and he tends to be vulnerable in the air.

Kolibe:9.5

Im not sure who is better Kolibe or TheRoy_Master, so im going to rate them the same and let those who play him decide.He is definitely one of my big surprises though, having never heard of him and then realizing he has the skill of the brothers.Kolibe has a strategy that is very effective. However, this strategy becomes repetitive, and seems a little unfair at times.

TheRoy_Master:9.5

TRM is the twin brother of King, and has very twin like skills; he is a great counterer and finishes opponents with the occasional spike. He has difficulties with his combo set ups which leaves him losing damage opportunities.

Dyxnar:9.4

Dyxnar uses Wolf, Fox,Kirby, Link and many other characters which are constantly changing. He is able to make you think he knows what you're going to do before you even do. His combos are lethal and be careful when you are in the air, for he will tear you to shreds there.Right now his only problem is a few minor manuevering mistake.

Mugen_tha_Dream: 9.4

Mugen uses Wolf,Ike, and Ganondorf in our matches. He can be deadly quick and when he gets on a roll he's hard to stop, and he'll finish you with the occasional spike. His problems seems to fall within his dodging and manuevering skills, at times leaving him open for attack.

Shantrix:9.4

Shantrix used Sheik and Toon Link in these matches. Shantrix is a very talented player, and will predict your move almost flawlessly each time. Be careful, he's so quick with shiek the match might be over before you get a chance to move. However, though his strategy and combos are effective at first, I was able to identify them and come up with a counter strategy that made victory a tad bit easy. Very good player, worth the match if you haven't played him yet.

TwilightSoldier:9.3

TwilightSoldier mains are Pit, Wolf, and Marth. I've only played him when he was Pit, so this is solely based on that main. TS is supremely talented brawler, and can take your lead from you in a blink of an eye.That is if you're good enough to grab a lead on him. His only problem is at times his strategy gets repetative and can be countered.

MasterMind1177:9.2

MasterMind or M&M uses Samus/ZSS,Falco,and Olimar. He uses samus' arsenal to keep his enemies at bay and out of sync. However, with any character with a reflector you can take this away from him and make him a slightly easier opponent. Also M&M can leave himself vulnerable from the air when he misses an occasional air attack.

Starwars2091:9.2

Starwars uses Marth,Fox,Kirby, and Wolf in that order I believe. I can tell that he is a great brawler with great promise. He has some wicked combos and can rack up the damage quick. However, his problem right now seems to be finishing off his opponent, for example using a damage giving attack instead of a knockback attack when his opponent has high damage.

Luigi487:9.1

Luigi is another Ike user who is developing at a fast rate, and could become one of the better players on gamespot at this rate. His biggest problem, is leaving himself open while charging smash attacks and predictability.

SmashBrawlerBoy:8.9

SBB or B.J is a talented player who uses Toon Link and Lucario, he thinks on his toes and uses projectiles to keep his enemies at bay. His problem is being able to predict what the other player is going to do, alot of the im able to get behind him and land a couple of attacks on him.

Dryaznbanana9:8.7

Banana uses Falco and Sheik, at least that I know of. He has some excellent set ups and strategies and can really cut into a health percent meter. His problem from what I saw was that he struggles with recovery.

Goosu2006:8.7

Goosu uses Pikachu,metaknight,wolf, or link. Mainly pikachu.. He is an honorable opponent and will give you a hell of a fight, do not take him for granted. In my case, I was able to anticipate his moves and therefore made victory easier.

Marthman7:8.7

MM7 is a good brawler and is Marth and Wolf primarily. He has a good range of techniques and is able to counter relatively well. His counters are his downfall at times, leaving him open to attack, like king.He seems to also have troubles laying attacks on his opponents without them coming back from the edge or countering the.When he is wolf his biggest problems are missing attack opportunities.

Frogloe:8.5

Frogloe or Frog, is known for using Pit and Lucario. He has some good combos and aerial attacks and has the potential to be good. His problem is that he doesnt have enough time to practice and is therefore a little slow with his reaction time and doesnt anticipate his enemies moves to well.

BaseballSGFkid:8.5

BBall Kid uses Ike(from what i remember), its been a while since ive played him so this may not apply anymore. He is a good base character and is able to come up with tactics to neutralize his foes. He occasionally will mess up these tactics and that can hurt him in the long run.

Kirby:8.3

Kirby uses Link and Kirby(as denoted by his name). He has good attack schemes and takes advantage of you when you are in the air. More practice is needed right now for kirby, he needs set up some combos and advance his manuevering.

Flipper5993:8.2

Flipper uses a range of characters such as Rob,Snake, and Sonic. He takes on the advantages of his characters and gives you a challenge and a fun battle at the same time. His problem is execution, he misses combos on the occasion and is sometimes facing the opposite direction of where he wants to attack.

Dman712:7.5

Dman's main is toon link. Dman seems to be the type of player you play when you really want to play when you want to have a fun game, instead of a serious game. He just seems to lack the talent that most of us possess, but can be fixed with practice.

Just play a 1v1 match with me and I will put it into the ranks. *Note* if you do poorly in this ranked match, your rank WILL go down, regardless of whether you Self-destruct or not, this is included when it comes ot skill, so be ready when you request the battle.
