Hi,
I am 49, female and considered a strange woman for loving to play video games; especially RPG's. I'm not fond of on-line gaming, I guess I pretty much like to game by myself.
I like games of all kinds (including pencil puzzlesword games), computers, the internet, books, sewing, gardening, cooking (tired yet?), camping, nature, hikingwalking, falling snow (NOT shoveling it), wood fires, alone time. I like animals better than most people. Just your average well-rounded ladygeek AND happy to admit it, thank you very much!

Hi, long time, no blog...
Hi!
I have to make more time to post!
I'm settling in to my new apartment and like it here very much.
We (my brother and cousin and I) went to the Earth, Wind and Fire concert at Konocti(sp) Harbor earlier this month. It was hot but fun and, as it was around the 4th, there were fireworks over the water right after the concert! I'm a sucker for fireworks.
We went to Cache Creek casino on the way to check it out and for a bathroom run. It was one of the most fun bathroom runs I've ever had! I miss the old 1-armed bandits, though. Pushing buttons just isn't the same as pulling the lever. Don't know why...
Happy day, all!

Hi, wow a lot has been going on in my life!!
Hi all,
I have been soooo busy! I can't believe that it's been so long since I've posted; not only here but almost anywhere.
First there were the holidays, busy and the big "F" was rearing it's ugly head.
The best news, though, is that I have finally been able to move where there is less mold and damp so I'm feeling better. Also, it's closer to my daughter and there are diverse cultural events as this is a major university town. I love here, it's like living in a giant garden. My new apartment is nice and it's very quiet here.
I'm playing the GBA version of Zelda-Link to the Past on my DS and it's more enjoyable than the SNES version as the controls seem to be more responsive. I'm almost done with it and I think I'll start one of the PS2 games I've been saving. Hmmmmm, choices.
Oops; there goes the timer. Goodies are done baking.

Hi glad to be back!
Hi everybody,
I've been out of commission for a while.
As I've said before, I have Fibromyalgia, kind of arthritis for the muscles and connective tissue. It is painful and the doctors keep trying out new medications aiming for getting me off of pain medication. So far, I'm worse (after trying an estimated 2 new meds per year,) have lost around 4 1/2 years and have become disabled (because of the medications.) To be fair, one med has worked.
This new med knocked me for a loop and sent me to the hospital and now I'm worse again. At this rate I'll be dead in a few years while they keep trying meds to get me off of the one that does work. Well, then I'll be off the pain medication.
Sorry about the whining, just wanted you to know why I haven't been contributing.
Have a lovely, healthy day.
