Video Games + Geeks = Losers

So I've noticed an alarming trend among our community. Now, we often like to build up what we do and make it seem like it is some sort of manly skill that makes men, men, but let's be serious. The title "Hardcore gamer" is a joke. We play video games. Unless you have won over $1,000 in competitions or currently work as a developer your just a loser. We are all losers.

What's really weird is when you see the constant battle between losers to see who is king loser. Is "Too Human" going to be good? No, of course not, but Losers will fight to prove other wise despite having never played it. On top of that some losers idolize other losers......it's crazy! They worship anything, just for the heck of it. They will dedicate their lives to some latently deviant, possibly petaphile anime. The main thing that gets irritating is the constant belittlement these nerds serve out on a daily basis. We more then anyone, know how much degrading comments suck. Through out high school many of us.....well, all of us witnessed alienation first hand, and to think it's worse in a culture of nerds makes me sick. That's why we are not just Nerds. We are beyond all reasonable doubt,..........losers.

GTA 4 killed my Xbox 360

It's true. I got the ring of death after playing GTA 4, and I'm not the only one. If the gaming media were not already bought and paid for maybe these type of things would be known. Perfect game my ass. Sure it was a good game, or at least when it wasn't locking up or killing my console, but come on.

    Ea and Microsoft: The beginnng.....

Recently EA games purchased Bioware, the developer of Xbox exclusive killer app Mass Effect. Just this past couple of weeks it was also announced that EA was attempting to purchase Take-Two Interactive, whose 2K games has provided the Xbox 360 with a number of amazing exclusives in the past 2 years, namely Bioshock. Also, Massive Inc. and EA signed a deal together in which Massive will provide in game advertising for Ea's online titles for the 360, and PC. Massive is owned by........come on,....take a guess.......give up? Microsoft. What does all this mean? Well, possibly nothing, but it is possible that Microsoft is preparing for EA's eventual takeover of the development of games. Microsoft has the money, and the power and now they have the finacial connections. If Microsoft were to fear losing too many exclusives, them taking in EA is very possible though slightly out of character. Though they are known for paying big bucks to developers for games the only developers they have purchased are Bungie and Rare. Not exactly big name dev teams, but if they were to aquire or at least gain the favor of EA the PS 3 would almost immediatly crumble with the loss of most of the major releases like Madden, GTA, Need for Speed and The Sims. An all exclusive deal between EA and Microsoft is not at all likely, but a more casual deal looks more inevitable and would still strike a blow to the other consoles.
