Well, hi there! :D

I've recently found myself playing the 360 as though it's the only console that I own - infact, for a while I forgot about my others and thought it was. Of course, that tends to happen when you get something that you've been constantly asking for all year long. Seeing that large, heavy present and having already known that I was getting one, I bet you can imagine my surprise when I discovered that it was, in fact, an XBOX 360: there was none. That's not to say that it isn't one of the best gifts I've ever gotten, and having recently discovered that Fable II is one of the best games ever made, and easily my game of the year, the 360 is a gift that keeps on giving, unlike the Wii, which lacks any real games, and constantly causes me to lose hope in Nintendo everytime a new pet game comes out for it.
I'm almost sad that I've nearly forgotten my PS3, considering that I also got Prince of Persia Special Edition for it. It was fun at first, and it probably still is, but it's hard to tell when you're so used to the XBOX control that all others constantly fall out of your hands. Some might complain that the game does all its own stunts, or perhaps that the controls are overly sensitive. I must say that sometimes I agree, but for the most part just watching the prince run along walls and climb on ceilings is fun. The voice acting isn't exactly top-notch - actually, the only voice that really sounds good is the Prince, and to be completely honest it sounds too much like Nathan Drake to fit the character. Characters like Elika have somewhat generic voices, and personalities. But at least the voice acting is put to good use with some of the funny dialog, although a lot of the dialog is flat-out cheesy.
My brother had asked for a PSP 3000, but he was waiting for it to be released alone, since we have Size Matters and have no interest in National Treasure. I hadn't actually asked for one, though, but I was pleasently surprised to discover that I got one; perfect for playing my favorite new PSP game, Chains of Olympus, which I got in my stocking. It's all a brutal, satisfying hack and slash, despite how fustrating it has become to win a battle against about ten strong enemies with barely enough health to sustain two hits. The greek... fun... scene(?) is a little over-the-top, but it's still funny and earns lots of red orbs.
As for the Wii and DS... I got nothing. Last year I was so happy because I got Super Mario Galaxy, Super Paper Mario and Mario Party 8, and this year I couldn't find a single game that looked like it was anything above decent. I tried, hard, to find something worth getting, but in the end I couldn't. I tried testing the water with Sonic Unleashed, but if you'd kindly read my review you'd probably be able to tell how "well" that worked out for me. The DS is all Petz games and Bratz games now, with the exception of games like Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword and Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, which I didn't think I really needed that much, although I'm pretty sure I'll have Order of Ecclesia by next year.
As for the rest of the family? Well, I'm not exactly much of a "giver". My presents to my family consist of a lineup of items that my parents tell me to choose, which I then wrap and attempt to take all the credit for. Of course, my brother, sister and I have all caught on and when we get a present from one another automatically go and thank our parents. We don't mind, though. Actually, for me it's emberassing to be thanked for these gifts when my family clearly knows that I didn't actually buy them.

Well, I'll admit, I didn't have high hopes for Ratchet and Clank: Quest for Booty. As good as the game looked, and as much as I liked the concept, the idea of a shorter Ratchet game with a lot less features just didn't sound so good. And I was excited, but I knew that if the game wasn't great, I wouldn't be surprised. But now that the game is here for only $15, I can safely say that Quest for Booty is the best Ratchet and Clank game since Going Commando. The game isn't as long, and there aren't even enough weapons to fill up an inventory slot, but that doesn't keep this game from being great. The graphics are some of the best I've seen on the console. It's basically like Tools of Destruction, but a lot of textures look better and a lot of the glitches are fixed. The sound is top-notch, as expected. The voice-acting is all the same as Tools of Destruction, which is a good thing, and - while it may seem a little bit ripped from Pirates of the Caribbean - the music is great, as well. The game starts you with most of your weapons, all of which are level 3, and you can upgrade them to level 5. You can also pick up one mod for each weapon, but good luck doing that since they're hidden so well and you can't replay previous levels. You don't collect any armor in the game, but I don't care at all because Ratchet's default armor is pirate-like and fits the theme of the game.
The game may seem like it's lost most of its key features, but the simplicity of it actually quite nice, and the ability to manipulate things with your wrench adds a bit more of a puzzle element to the game. And while there aren't many puzzles, and the ones that are there are easy, you'll still be using you wrench for lots of stuff. Besides, puzzle-solving is a nice change of pace. Basically, this is Ratchet and Clank like you've never seen it before. The game has action, adventure, puzzles and quests, all rolled into 4 hours of gameplay. You might be thinking that 4 hours is ridiculously short, and it is, but the game - instead of Challenge Mode - features a difficulty select, which changes things up a bit, and makes you want to play through again and again. But come to think of it, I'd play through multiple times anyway, because I just can't get enough of this game. Clank is only in the game for 2 very short scenes, but not having him doesn't ruin the game at all, since it's so much shorter than other installments. And it makes the game a lot more difficult than it would be if you had Clank. Qwark also isn't in the game, which is a bummer, but I'm willing to forgive and forget because Rusty Pete offers plenty of wuality humor. So, in short, I love Quest for Booty so much that I never want to stop playing. I definately suggest downloading this game, because it's more than worth the $15.
I also downloaded the Force Unleashed demo, and it is the greatest thing to happen to the world since canned beer. The graphics are superb, but the movement of everything is what really got me. Everything moves so flawlessly, in such a realistic manor. The voice-acting is also incredible and the controls couldn't be much better. Controlling around your character is extremely comfortable, and combat is a lot of fun. There is also a God of War-style button mashing sequence at the end of the demo, which is used to defeat a Walker (or whatever the hell they're called). The Force Unleashed really couldn't be much better. And until I played it I wasn't that excited for it, but now I can't wait until September so I can get my grubby little hands on it right away. Make no mistake, download this demo. Infact, what are you doing reading this blog? You should be downloading this demo right nao!

Did I forget to mention that I was on vacation for two weeks? I got back a few days ago but I haven't really been in the mood to talk about it. The trip began with us heading up to a campground up by Silver Springs for like four days. Instead, we decided to stay for one night, go to the waterpark there and then leave to Orlando. The waterpark was awful. There were about 5 rides, maybe more, and they were all lame. They hurt like hell, too. I came off of one with a pain in my back that remained the rest of the day, and a while through the night. A refil on a drink costs $1, and the cup you get is quite small. The Coca-Cola was flat, too. The park is called "Wild Waters", and if you value your time and money then I suggest you just ignore it and keep driving.
We went to Blizzard Beach once we got to Orlando. Blizzard Beach is a much better waterpark. Sadly, my sister hurt her wrist so our mom and her didn't go. It was still fun. The best part is the family raft ride. We went on it about 5 times. There are also some toboggan rides which are a lot of fun, and some ride where you can choose between single or double tubes and ride down a slide. It's my dad's favorite ride there. In addition to that, there's also a wave pool there. But the best part? There were lots of girls.
Especially in the wave pool. So yeah, I had a lot of fun. Sadly, the weather was bad up in Orlando and we couldn't do anything for like a week. No problem, though, because we rode the electric cart that we rented all around the campground, harassing people for mass amounts of time. My sister even found a toy truck that she started pulling behind the cart with a string. As you can imagine, that gathered a lot of attention. While on the vacation we also saw Step Brothers. The movie was hilarious, but it really abused its ability to be brutal. And I don't just mean when the drums got teabagged. The whole movie was riddled with swear words and pervasive language. And as funny as the movie was, I can't excuse this. It was too over-the-top. Although I did enjoy the "We're here to f*** sh** up" part. In my opinion, that was the best scene in the history of movies. The story of the movie sort of reminded me of Drake & Josh, except this movie doesn't suck. The thing I really didn't like about the movie is that it was so nasty that I can't quote it without having to censor almost half of it. Overall, though, this was a hilarious movie, and I'd give it 4/5 stars. I knocked one off because it was too "extreme".
I also saw Journey to the Center of the Earth. The glasses cost extra, but they're decent, and you can keep them if you want to. The 3D takes a while to get used to, but once you do get used to it it looks great. Unlike older 3D movies, the colors are all messed up, and the 3D actually looks really. Infact, when the credits were coming out at the beginning, my dad started to reach out and try to grab it. Obviously he was joking, but it should give you a pretty good idea of how good the 3D in this movie looks. But before I start talking about the actual movie, I'd like to comment on some of the previews at the beginning. The first one was for "Bolt", a new Pixar movie coming out starring a dog, a hamster and a cat. The movie looks funny, and will be in 3D as well. My only complaint is that it has Miley Cyrus in it. Another preview was for a terrible-looking movie called "Fly Me to the Moon". It's a 3D animated movie, but it doesn't look funny. Actually, it doesn't look like it's supposed to be. It looks more like one of those crappy, cheesy, "believe in yourself and you can do anything" movies. Bleh. But enough about that, onto the movie. It was great. As I mentioned, the 3D took some getting used to, but I'll happily excuse that since the actual movie was so good. And the entire movie was in 3D, not just little portions where it tells us to put on our 3D glasses. I suggest seeing this film, because I really wasn't looking forward to it, but I was pleasently surprised. 4/5 stars because it wasn't especially long and, like I've mentioned multiple times now, the 3D hurts my eyes at first.
While up in Orlando I rented Crisis Core, and I got to keep it for the entire 2 weeks. I didn't beat it because I was stuck at *SPOILERS*Angeal*SPOILERS*, but it was fun from what I played, and I plan on reviewing it soon. The graphics are great, especially during cutscenes, and the actual gameplay, though quite simple and linear, is addictive and fun. And I'm not a Final Fantasy fan, so picking this game over some of the other great games available was quite risky, but I wasn't disappointed. I never did get the Buster Sword, though. I'm assuming you get it after you beat *SPOILERS*Angeal*SPOILERS*. Oh well, I think I definately played enough of it to review it. I most likely experienced everything the game has to offer, so I see no reason not to review it. I wish I had played some other Final Fantasy games, though, because all of the deep information about the characters, like Genesis, means nothing to me, since i don't really understand what they're talking about.
I rented Unreal Tournament III once I got home. I suck online, so I'm not playing much of that. I'm mostly playing the campaign, which has online-style gameplay. This is a good idea, but it becomes repetetive after the first few missions. Most of the missions require that you destroy nodes, and there are only two cutscenes that I've seen so far, both of which were around the first three levels or so. It doesn't seem like I'm going anywhere, and I'm tired of the gameplay. I would've liked a normal campaign. As for online, I only played one match, which wasn't fun since everyone is better than me. The character creator is really cool, though. You have tons of options and you get to select your class. That's the only good thing I can say about online so far, though. The controls in the game are good, though. It's the classic R1 to fire, which is far surperior to R2, especially since the PS3's shoulder buttons suck so bad.
Finally, I'm playing Patapon again. I'm stuck at the desert level. I can't get past the heat. It has become very frusturating, but I plan on trying until I get it. I'm not far into the game but I love it, that's for sure. The mixture of strategy and rythm is original, and the art style is very creative. My review won't be coming until I complete the game, which at this rate could be a very long time, but I can tell you this, it's going to be getting a great score. Ok, well that's all for this blog.

My dad ordered an iPhone about 12 days ago and he finally got it. It's one of the newer models with faster Internet, too. So far I've checked out the Apple Store and seen some games. I was going to download some of the free ones but we need an account first. Aside from that I've also browsed the Internet. The iPhone can't load flash games or anything, but I can still go to a lot of my favorite sites, like here. I also watched Charlie the Unicorn 2 (which you're a punk if you haven't seen) on YouTube, which for some reason has its own channel on the main menu. The iPhone also has a cool map, which can find exactly where we are, and give us directions to where we want to go. There's also a worldwide clock, which can tell you the time in different regions. I don't know why we would use this but it's a cool feature.
We can write down notes to remind us to do stuff, but we mostly just goofed around with it. My dad wrote "Hi stupid" and I wrote "Get off my phone", which is what we ended up sticking to. Immature, I know, but still fun. OH, and as far as sound goes, it's decent, but not as good as PSP. It came with headphones, which will probably improve the sound quality, but for now, it's only good, not great. Picture is pretty good on videos, but it's better when being used for other things. Of all the features we've used, the actual phone is one we haven't, though. >_O
I also discovered that the iPhone has motion-control. I downloaded a game that makes me turn the iPhone to move. It's a good idea for the game, as it's unique, and it's cool to know that the iPhone has it. I also downloaded a 99 cent game that has graphics in the style of Galaga. I'm glad it was only 99 cents, though, because the controls are awful. You see, the iPhone doesn't have any sort of control pad on it, so I have to tap little buttons on the game to move, which are placed funky and don't always work when I tap them. Considering there's no control pad, I wonder how World of Warcraft would be played. Maybe you turn the phone? I don't know... I'd rather have WoW on my normal computer anyway.

I'm attempting to start the Batman Union, but I need friends to invite. I was inviting some of my friends who I know liked The Dark Knight, but Ifnot, Ruff Edgz and PSPDemoBoy are already in 30 unions, which is the maximum. If you're a Batman fan that isn't in the maximum number of unions, then comment here. And if you're one that I just listed, then maybe you could try and find a union that you're not active in to drop out of? Thank you.

I'm already using the new GameSpot beta (thank you for the link, Spongemario) and I like it a lot. I'm used to it already. I'm definately looking forward to it coming out. Does anyone know when it will be coming out?
I think the new layout for everything is a lot easier. I encourage everyone to start using the new GameSpot to get used to it, because if you don't then you'll wish you did when it's out and you have to figure it out then.I also saw The Dark Knight the other day. I think that it was one of the best movies this year. Heath Ledger gave an incredible preformance, and really made The Joker - a character I never cared about - come to life, and be incredibly likeable. The movie's special effects were awesome, as were the action scenes, which were really, obviously, the best parts of the movie. There was an epic car chase sequence in the movie which was easily one of the best scenes. Batman is obviously a great character, and a HUGE part of the story, but The Joker is really who I liked the most. He was a character with no fear or regret, a character who, as Alfred put it, just wanted to watch the world burn. Heath definately gave one of the best preformances I've ever seen. Plus, The Joker is fun to quote. "I don't want to kill you! I'm like a dog chasing a truck! I wouldn't know what to do with one if I cought it!" I really suggest seeing this film, because even people who aren't fans of Batman (curse you!) will probably enjoy it.
I also rented Prince of Persia: Rival Swords for the Wii. It's a decent game with a decent amount of action, but it relies to much on climbing. Not to mention the graphics are ugly. And when I say ugly, I mean putred. Maybe the game looked good 1000 years ago, but today they're just plain sad. The voice-acting isn't exactly my cup of tea, either. It all seems cheesy and the voices don't fit the characters at all. On top of all this, the gameplay is also extremely repetetive. You're forced to swing the Wii Remote and Nunchuck to attack and preform moves. This can tire you during large ambushes, and the controls can be very un-responsive at times. The levels, so far, don't offer much variety. I'm currently at the first charriot level and so far all the areas look the same. The saddest thing about the game is how high my hopes were for it. Not only was the game so insanely popular, but the beggining cutscene had superb graphics and great voice-acting. After the cutscene ended it was like the graphics designers got lazy and the voice-actors quit/got fired. The gameplay is fun at times, but most of the other aspects are boring and ugly. So far I'd say a 7/10 becaus ethe game can be fun on occasion, but my score could change (for better or for worse) after I've played some more. So stay tuned. That's all for now.

My grandparent's dog got hit by a car. That dog was like a child to them. They loved it to death. The worst part of all is that they saw her get hit. Yes, they saw it happen right before their eyes. The dog was alive about 5 minutes after being hit, flopping on the ground in pain, as my grandmother held her and talked to her. This has to be the saddest day since my other grandmother died. (R.I.P.) Not only did they see it, but now they have to tell my aunt, who is the actual owner of the dog, though the dog is almost always at my grandparents' house. My grandparents were so upset that we had to come over for like 30 minutes, trying to make them feel better. At times I thought we were making progress, because my grandmother would stop crying. But after a few seconds, she started crying again, only worse than before. If this is how my grandparents reacted then how will my aunt react. She will most likely blame them, putting for grief on my grandmother, who already feels terrible about the whole thing.
My grandparents have had this dog now for years, and they loved her to death. Losing this dog is almost like losing a child to them. - Posted Jul 25, 2008 12:33 pm PT

I thought I'd do a small review for Pan's Labyrinth, since I like it so much. The first thing that I'd like to say about the film is that if you're turned off by having to read subtitles then I frown upon you, because what you don't know is that after about 5 minutes of reading subtitles you feel like you actually understand what these people are saying, rather than reading it. I don't know how this is, but it was the same deal with Apocalypto, which was also a fantasic film. Surprisingly enough, you become extremely attached to these characters. The one I became most attached to was Pan, the faun who guards the Labyrinth. Speaking of which, let's get to special effects. The special effects in Pan's Labyrinth are great, especially in the fairys, which interact with the actors as if they were real. Characters like Pan and Pale Man aren't actually special effects, but people in costumes. If you've seen the film then you know that these are highly detailed costumes, that look real. So props to the film for that.
The storyline of the film is very interesting. It isn't the cliche "save the world from destruction" storyline. The story is that there was a land unground where demons and other kinds of creatures lived, and the princess was always wondering what the human world was like. One day she went to the human world and couldn't survive, so she died. She eventually came back as a different person (Ofelia) but didn't remember a thing. She was guided one day by a fairy to Pan's Labyrinth, where she met Pan, who told her all about it. He said that Ofelia had to complete 3 tasks before she could return to her kingdom, to make sure that she wasn't mortal. Sounds interesting, right? The 3 tasks are as follows: (SKIP THIS PART IF YOU DON"T WANT SPOILERS) a giant frog was living in a tree, causing it to die, so Ofelia had to feed it 3 stones to make it puke out its insides, where she found a key. The key was used for the second task: She had to use magical chalk given to her by Pan to make a door, which she would use to get into a temple-like place, which she had to get out of before the sand in an hourglass ran out. She had to use the key she found to open a slot in the wall where she found a knife. This was a simple task, but she had to screw it up. Pan told her not to touch the feast, which was on a table in front of Pale Man, a creature in a deep sleep. She, being ignorant, took a bite, causing Pale Man to awaken. This is one of my favorite parts of the film because it's scary, and dramatic. The third task was that she had to take her newly born brother to Pan, where he would use the knife she found to take his blood, opening the portal to her kingdom. She refused, and ended up getting killed by the captain (or father).
(MORE EFFING SPOILERS) I don't know what to think of the ending. On one hand, Ofelia finally got to her kingdom, but on the other hand, Mercedes and the rest of her group were moaning and crying about her death. It works out well for Ofelia, but very sadly for everyone else. I think it was a good ending, though, to an epic film, which I highly suggest checking out. 5/5 stars.

Has anyone seen this movie? I watched it for the second time yesterday, and I thought it was excellent. The costumes are very detailed and the special effects are great. One of the main characters is a faun, whoes costume is extremely detailed and well designed. There's also "Pale Man", who is a creepy creature with eyeballs in its hands. This was a heck of a freaky scene. So yeah, I love this movie, and I encourage people who haven't seen it to rent or buy it.

^That's Pale Man.^ And if you think he looks scary there, you should see him when he's moving.

^The Faun^ He looks evil, but he's not. >_O As a character, he's actually extremely likeable.

^See? Cuddly.^

17Jul 08Ever since I stopped making so many blogs, I haven't been getting many comments. Have I not been blogging enough? Have people lost interest in my blogs? It's quite sad, really. Just look at my Mario Kart Wii Progress blog, it was so short, yet it got 10 comments, where-as my new blogs, which take at least 30 minutes to write, only get 1 - 3. It's a shame.

Hey, I haven't blogged in a while. >_O Anyway, I thought I'd blog about E3 2008 today, and what I've thought of it so far. I'll start with the Microsoft press conference: I was pretty disappointed. Fallout 3 was the only game that looked interesting to me, but there was way too much footage of it, and the game is coming to the PS3 as well, so I'm that didn't make me want a 360 anymore than I already do. The good news is that there was some epic Gears of War 2 footage, which DID make me want a 360. This game is looking amazing so far, and I'm really looking forward to co-oping it up with my brother or sister. The graphics look really incredible, especially the environments. My brother said that there's a rumored 360 price-drop sometime soon, and the pro console will be dropping to $300. I hope he's not bullcrapping me again, because I really want Gears 2. Something that I'm torn about, though, is if I should get Gears on the 360 or PC, since they both have their pros and cons. Anyway, back to E3. More bad news is that Final Fantasy XIII is coming to the 360. I'm not a PS3 fanboy, but I think that this was a pretty bad idea. I think that Microsoft is just a greedy company that wants to buy anything they can. And MORE bad news is that Microsoft ripped off the Mii with their new "avatars", which look almost exactly like Miis, and can be used to play minigames. So other than this and a few other small announcements, there isn't much to talk about with Microsoft's conference. It was a huge disappointment to me.
Nintendo's conference was also pretty disappointing. They announced Wii Sports Resort, which will include the Wii MotionPlus -- a mod to make your Wii Remote more accurate -- and an extended Wii Remote Jacket. 3 of the games were shown; fencing, frisby and jet skiing. Fencing looks like fun. You're in a first-person view, and you swing your Wii Remote to swipe your sword. Your goal is to knock the other player into the water. This game looks pretty fun. Frisby is where you throw a frisby, and have your dog catch it. You have to throw properly or your dog can't catch it in time. Skiing is where you hold your Nunchuck and Wii Remote as if they're handlebars and attempt to drive through arches before time runs out. All these games look pretty interesting, and I'll definately be looking forward to the game. Nintendo also announced Animal Crossing: City Folk. The game allows you to play at your own pace and do whatever you want, whenever you want. And in addition to the normal area, you can also go to a city, where you can get your hair done, find out what other players are doing, etc. You can play the game with your friends, as well. And the game includes a microphone, which is used for the voice chat. Something that looks cool to me is the ability to use your Mii's head. I'm excited about this game too. Nintendo showed some gameplay from Wii Music. Not much to say, except that it looks ok, but watching it got quite old. The main reason the conference was so disappointing is because Nintendo took too much time playing around and didn't announce many titles. The biggest disappointment of all is that there was no new Zelda game announced.
The Sony conference was epic. Sony announced Ratchet and Clank Future: Quest for Booty on PSN, which is coming out this Fall. Apparently it's a shorter game, but it will feature all the humor and such from previous games, and will require that players think more, meaning that there will be more clever puzzles. I'm excited. Sony also announced Resistance: Retribution for the PSP. This is a spin-off of Resistance: Fall of Man, but it looks really good. Instead of a first-person shooter, this game will attempt the oh-so epic over-the-soulder view. The game is looking really great so far, and I hope to see more on it soon. Sony showed the epic trailer for God of War III. The graphics are incredible, but there wasn't any actual gameplay. Oh well, I still can't wait. A game called "MAG" (which stands for Massive Action Game), was announced as well. The title is really dumb, but the game will feature 256 players online. The game looks pretty epic, and the graphics are pretty dang good. I can't honestly say I'm extremely excited, but I'll wait. There was a new trailer for inFAMOUS, which showed a bit of gameplay. The game looks like fun, but there should've been more on the game than just a trailer. Anywho, the new Prince of Persia game was also shown. The new art style is awesome, and the gameplay looks amazing. Climbing mountains looks like a lot of fun. And unlike other games, it looks like it requires skill. The new Prince is very cool looking, and will definately be a pleasure to control. I can't wait for this game, it looks like Ubisoft has really outdone themselves.
In a completely unrelated story, I downloaded Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3 off of PSN the other day. It's very fun, but very hard. If you lose all your lifes then you have to start the game all over again. Even on the easiest setting I can't manage to beat the game. I think that with a second player the game would be much more fun, and a lot easier, but my brother and sister won't play with me, and there's no one online to play, so I'm stuck trying to complete this game on my own. The game has goofy graphics, and the level design is clever, but there's no voice-acting, which makes the cutscenes dull. If I can get my brother or sister to help me then I could complete the game and write my review, but at this rate it could be a while, so I'll just keep you guys updated until then. In addition to Commando 3, I downloaded the demo for Siren Blood Curse, and it's a lot of fun. It's hard to believe that it's a PSN game, what with the amazing graphics and sound. Very scary as well. I'll get this game when it becomes available. That's all for now.

My brother was actually selfish enough to download PhotoShop on his computer, so I have to use his computer to use it. I was in the middle of making something when suddenly he has a mood swing and starts yelling at me and trying to close PhotoShop down. He started tugging at the mouse. I'm actually surprised the idiot didn't break anything. So now I can't finish what I was doing until he gets off the computer, which will probably be a long time from now, because all he does is make terrible wallpapers and logos in PhotoShop that he never uses. But that's not even the full story. Earlier, I just got finished rendering something, and then he closed it and said "I hope you saved", and I didn't. Now, whenever I tell him that he was an idiot for closing it without asking first, he says that I'm the idiot for not saving, whihc, when you think about it, makes him an even bigger idiot. Wow, I used the word "idiot" a lot more than I thought I would. I guess that's what happens when you're talking about someone that's as big of an arse as my brother.
My sister got got Guitar Hero On Tour the other day, but I think I've started to like it more than her. I think I might do my first video review for the game. It has good graphics and controls, but I'm a bit disappointed at the song list. A lot of them are good, but all of the good songs are remade poorly. I still really like it, though. I'm currently playing on hard, which is really... well... hard. I'm using Axel Steel, and I have his default shirt and his "Other Shirt". (Yes, that's what it's called) It's a shame that I don't really have time to look at my character or the stage, because of all the notes coming at me. Oh well, it's fun anyway. I'll most likely give the game a 9, but I plan on completing hard before I review it, so it could take a while.
Short blog. Well, good day to you all.

Ok, first of all, I played the demo of Secret Agent Clank. The game is fun. Sneaking around is fun, and it's not just standing in one spot and waiting for an enemy to walk past you, either. In this game, you can disguise yourself as statues, hide behind plants, or, once you get your first weapon, go out and attack everyone. Being sneaky earns you points, which level up your Nanotech and weapon experience faster, which is an interesting element that works really well. The demo also includes a lot of button-matching. I have to press buttons at the appropriate times to dodge lasers or run past guards. It's fun to do, especially for me because I like button-matching games. Now I get to play as Ratchet. The arena is a little repetetive. It's just Ratchet running around blasting about 3 - 10 enemys for 9 rounds. It's not completely bad, though I find it pointless to unlock a new wrench mod at the end if I don't even get to use it. After the Ratchet challenge, the demo is complete. I'm a bit disappointed that they didn't include a Qwark level in the demo, but it's a fun demo nonetheless. I got the game today, as I preordered it from GameStop, but I haven't played it yet because I've been too busy playing...
Metal Gear Solid 4. My dad got another PS3 for the TV downstairs, so that he could use the Blu Ray player, but he got a 40gb, which can't play PS1 or PS2 games. My dad figured he might as well have a console that can play them, so he got the 80gb Metal Gear Solid 4 bundle, and I've been playing it like crazy since this afternoon. I think it's a fun game. The graphics are excellent and the voice acting is top-notch. My main problems with the game so far is that the cutscenes are too long and hard to sit through, but if you don't then you won't understand the storyline. The controls are somewhat hard to get used to, because so many of the buttons are used for multiple things. The weapons are great, though. I'm only on the first act and I have about 10 weapons. You get a lot of them, and when you get a duplicate, it's automatically sold, so that you earn points to but more weapons with. Great game so far. 9/10
I played the demo of God of War: Chains of Olympus, and it's a LOT of fun. I only played about 10 minutes of the game and I can easily say that it's one of the best PSP games I've played. The graphics, voice acting, music and moves are cool, and it manages to make the PSP analog controller work. I hate the PSP analog controller because it requires more work and is less accurate. Allow me to explain: While the PS1, PS2 and PS3 controllers' analog sticks are covered with rubber or whatever to prvent your finger from slipping, the PSP controller isn't, and therefore my hand always slips when I'm attempting to use it. Another thing is that the other controllers are somewhat rounded at the top, and the PSP analog stick is flat, which makes it even harder to use. Ok, so now that you understand how much I hate the PSP analog stick, I can say that this game makes it work just fine. And that alone makes this game worth a 9/10.
I downloaded Spyro the Dragon on the PSP and PS3 a few days ago, and I beat them both 120% in about 2 days total. The PS3 version of the game is no different than the PS1 version, other than the fact that there's no disc to get scratched. I feel more comfortable playing the game knowing that it won't freeze because of a messed up disc. The PSP version is really cool, because the controls are completely customizable. I have my controls set so that I can move with both the analog stick and the directional buttons, which is what I normally use. The game is extra small on this screen, because the PSP screen isn't big anyway, but the game isn't made to fit on the PSP screen, so it is extra small, because the rest of the space is taken up with black. (Did you understand that?) I like both versions a lot, and I'll most likely re-write my review so that it's based on both the PSP version and the normal version.
Also, the PS3 my dad got includes a free download of PAIN, which originally comes from the PlayStation Store. It's cool that I can have it for free now, though I didn't really want the game. I haven't played it yet, but I will eventually, and I'll write my review for it then. For those who haven't heard of the game, it's basically just throwing people around a city with a huge slingshot. Sounds pretty boring, but looks pretty fun. I'll be sure to play that as soon as I get the chance. Well, that's all for now.

I just thought I'd tell you all what's been going on in my life. Ok, well, for starters, I'm replaying Ocarina of Time. If you're wondering why, it's because my sister brought my memory card over to my grandparents' house, and so I have to start over. I'm currently doing the most annoying temple ever; The Forest Temple. This temple is a disgrace. It's not fun. However I am making progress, so I just thought I'd let you guys and gals know. I've learned several songs and I plan on doing some side-quests. Another thing that pushes my buttons; I was doing Dodongo's Cavern and I ran out of Deku Seeds, which I need, and I couldn't find them anywhere. I had to go all the way back to Kokiri Forest and buy some from the shop, then I had to come back, all because I ran out of some Deku Seeds, which I could've gotten more of at the cavern had they not stopped appearing from random pots that I broke. Fortunately I'm smart or I probably would've ran off in an attempt to find out what the Song of the Royal Family was after the owl told me to play it by the waterfall at Zora's River.
I've started playing A Link to the Past again. I'm currently at the Desert Palace. It's frusturating me. I'm not giving up, though, because I wan't that dang Master Sword! And that new tunic! Why? Because new tunics are kewl. In addition to A Link to the Past, I'm also playing Super Mario Bros. 3. I've only made it about 1 level past where I was before, because it's extremely hard and somewhat frusturating after you've died a million times just attempting to pick up a mushroom. Yes, it's that hard. I think that both these games are a lot of fun, though. A Link to the Past is, without a doubt, the best classic Zelda game, and Super Mario Bros. 3 is easily the best side-sroller I've ever played. And I've played a lot of side-scrollers. So... yeah... It'll probably take me a while to finish them, but once I do I'll be sure to post my reviews here.
In other news, I wrote my review for Mario Kart Wii. I think that's it's not only the best Mario Kart yet, but one of the best kart racing games I've ever played. And I've played quite a few kart racing games. I do, however, despise the Wii Wheel. It's inaccurate and uncomfortable to hold. Fortunately, there are a lot of controller options. You can choose to use the Nunchuck and Wii Remote, Classic Controller, Wii Wheel and even the GameCube controller. With some many options, there's gotta be something that you like. The unlockables are great fun, as is the online play. The ability to find your friends and host matches that only your friends can enter is cool. It's fun when there's only two racers because it's not so chaotic. Not that it's chaotic anyway. It's surprisingly well balanced in that department for a game that can hold up to 12 racers. However, I can't hlep but think that the CPU karts cheat, because they never seem to miss unless you're carrying a shell behind your back, which doesn't work if someone sends a blue shell. You can read my review here.
My PS3 controllers stopped working a while ago, which sucks because we just found a bunch of old PS2 games that I've been dying to play for a long time now. If it weren't for the fact that we also found a bunch of old GameCube games then this blog would just be a huge rant against the PS3 and the fatc that it's always breaking down and having problems, which it does, though I'm not in the mood for a huge rant. I guess I'll give you a small rant, though. Ok, here goes. The PS3 costs around $450, depending on what version you buy. That's a lot of dough. For something so sxpensive you would expect only the best, but I actually found that the Wii, which is only $250, runs a lot better and has a lot more good games. The PS3 may have a lot of unique features that the Wii doesn't have, but I really don't give a crap because none of those features make the PS3 any better than if it did have those features. Ok, so there was my little rant. It may seem a bit fanboy-ish, but I can assure you I'm not a Nintendo fanboy. I love Sony, I really do, but the PS3 just isn't worth $450. And the controllers not working is a huge problem because I can't play any games but Guitar Hero III which I don't like much.
Ok, another thing. I just recently started watching South Park on CW44, and it's funny as hell. I didn't think I'd like this show but I really do, and so does my sister. And so does my brother. Also, my brother has really gotten into Friends, and he's watched every episode up to season 5 on DVD. We don't have the rest yet, because if we did then he would've watched them already. While I'm on he topic of TV shows, I think I'll explain how pissed I am that every good show ends at the same time. I like How I Met Your Mother, My Name is Earl, Survivor and Big Bang Theory, and they've all ended for this year. It sucks because now we have nothing to watch on TV except for re-runs and The Simpsons, which is funny but doesn't compair to some of these other great shows. Fortunately, we're going to watch the Indiana Jones movies then go see the new one. Then, we're going to see Kung Fu Panda and You Don't Mess With the Zohan. I think this month is going to be a fun one.
I'm very sad because I recently discovered that my new computer can't run Crysis properly. It runs it, but it goes at such a slow frame-rate that aiming is impossible and it's just not fun. I'm really hoping that my computer can run Gears of War because I plan on getting it soon, along with, maybe, Mass Effect. My old file on Crysis is ony my mom's computer so if my computer starts cooperating properly then I'm going to have to go through all those boring, repetetive battle scenes again. Seriously, that sucks. I hate those battle scenes. Now, about Gears of War; I think it looks really good on the 360, and I love the 360 controller, but the PC version has a level editor and new levels, plus I can use the 360 controller, so I don't see why I shouldn't get the PC version. I might get it soon. If I don't, I will be sad.
I played the Dungeon Explorer: Warriors of Ancient Arts demo on my PSP the other day and I love it. I like the controls, the level design, the graphics, the characters, the team-based combat, the monsters, the abilitys, the everything. I definately plan on getting this game whenever I see it. It's extremely underappreciated. This is exactly why I don't listen to critics. If you have a PSP, then be smart and download the demo. You won't be disappointed. I just thought I'd share that with you guys, because I'm sure not a lot of people know about it, and those who do have probably read the reviews, which aren't very good. Damn critics give anything that doesn't have Master Chief on the cover a low score.
Something that I forgot to mention about my trip is something that's very important to me. I'm terrible sorry about not mentioning it. Kobe Japanese Steak House. This restaurant wins. It's one of those awesome Japanese steak houses where the chef cooks in front of you and preforms tricks. The food here is the best of any Japanese steak house. We just can't find a place that beats it. They serve noodles, vegitables, rice, potatoes, (which I said sperately because they're so good) steak, of course, shrimp and chicken. Of course you don't get all of that. Certain things you have to order. I went on my birthday once. You get a good sized ice cream cake that is delicious. They even have fried ice cream which cannot be beat. This is just one of the best restaurants ever demised, and I wanted you guys to know because if you ever go up to Orlando then you must eat here. That's all for today.

I've been playing Mario Kart Wii a lot since I got it the other day, and I've made a lot of progress. I'm curently not playing it because my brother found Luigi's Mansion (yay!) and I'm playing that. I'll be sure to add anyone who gave/will give their friend codes. Ok, so now onto what I've done: I've unlocked Dry Bones, Rosalina, Diddy Kong, Mii Costume A, and King Boo as characters. I've unlocked several vehicles, but I don't really keep track of that. I've also beat every cup in 50cc and 100cc, and I've completed a few of the cups in 150cc. I'm loving the game so far, but I hate the Wii Wheel with a burning passion. There's my short blog for today. Don't forget to give me your friend codes!

I'm finally back from my 2 week-long vacation. I had fun, although the first two campgrounds were crappy. Fortunately, Orlando was a lot of fun and made up for the two campgrounds before it. We went to Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon, both Disney water-parks. I'm not crazy about Typhoon Lagoon, but the entire family had fun at Blizzard Beach. Family raft ride = yes. I think I'll post a few of the events worth mentioning from my trip.
The Villages
I have no idea where we went, because it was the worst campground I've ever been to and no one in the family thought that it would be worth mentioning, but we did visit "The Villages". The Villages are a series of themed downtown-like areas, and all of them that we went to were nice, though there are a lot of them and we only went to a few. The one we liked the best was "Spanish Springs", which was a Spanish-themed Village. It was a happenin' place, too. We probably liked it because there was a Kilwin's Ice Cream and Candy shop, and a Starbucks Coffee right next to eachother. It was fun to just walk around and look at the stores and restaurants, though, and we ate lunch down there a few times. Everyone there drove golf carts, which was funny. The sidewalks were like little roads that the golf carts drove on.
Ming Court
A Chinese restaurant in Orlando. The food was delicious. It's a very high-end restaurant. The atnosphere is great. The entire restaurant is surrounded by a wall, and water, with "More Fish" in it. You can feed the fish, which is hilarious. The fish are basically attacking eachother to get the food. Priceless. Anyway, I got the popcorn shrimp, which was delicious. I was forced to get a kids meal, though, because that's the only way I was able to get popcorn shrimp. It came with fries, noodles, and some weird... thing... with no taste, whatsoever. We also got spring rolls and white rice, which were both delicious. This restaurant is excellent, and if you're ever in Orlando and see it, try it out. Trust me, it's great.
Blizzard Beach
My favorite Disney park. Period. There are quite a few fun rides, like the family raft ride, where everyone gets in a big tube, and you slide down a huge slide to the bottom. This is the best ride there, and my favorite water-park ride anywhere. There's also a double-tube ride, where two people can go down a slide in a tube, or you can go alone down a dark tube, which I didn't do. I would've done double with my brother, but the jerk decided to go alone. -.-
Also, I got Mario Kart Wii. I've made a good amount of progress, so here's my impressions so far: I really like it. The graphics are nice and the sound is good. I like the music and the sound-effects are goofy. There are a lot of characters to choose from. A lot of which I like. There's Koopa, Luigi, Yoshi, and (PREPARE FOR SPOILERS) King Boo. King Boo has a badass vehicle. This big-ass truck thing with spikes on it. It's wicked... I use the Classic Controller, because honestly, the Wii Wheel blows. It's extremely frusturating to use, because characters don't turn properly when you're using it, unless, of course, you turn it practically upside-down. I also tryed Wi-Fi, which is a lot of fun. It's definately better than Brawl online. I don't currently know my friend-code, but once I figure it out, I'll be sure to share it with you.
Oh, and I've been playing Mario Kart DS a lot, too, and I've come to like it more. I've mostly been playing multiplayer with my sister, but I think I'll re-write my review, because I hadn't done much on it before. I'll also re-write my review for Resistance: Fall of Man, and Mario Party DS soon, so look out! And this time, I'll make sure I take a look at some of the other aspects of the games. Also, SamReallyROXS said he's leaving, and that's disgusting. What is GameSpot without Sam?
I am sad. Can you tell?
