I know I've hardly been on here at all this year, mainly because of exams and holidays, and life just generally getting in the way. So, now I'm saying godbye. I'm sure it's not forever, because thqt is an exceedingly looooooong time, but at least for a year or so. You've all been amazing people and I'll miss the weird conversations we have. I hope there are some more X-Files tribute videos, Pi!

And because I can't do a completely depressing blog, here is some happy news: I got tickets to Hamlet!

Muchas love (or lint, depending on your persuasion) and without further adieu, i bid thee goodbye xxx

My exams are over! How exciting. However, I've got to go back to college on Monday, so I'm still going to be pretty scarce around these here sites.

All my exams were ok. I'm not going to say any more else I'll jinx them. I had this week off, went to Thorpe Park, been to the gym, cycling etc. How healthy!

I've really got back into Doctor Who now, Catherine Tate is hilarious as the assistant! Can't wait until Rose comes back though, i've been doing obsessive trailer watching on the BBC website- and they say I don't have a life... And X-Files trailer is officially out! More excitiement. How happy.

If anyone can guess the song from which the title is derived...well, I can't give you anything, but you can have a smug sense of satisfaction.

Here comes the blog that has been biding its time, hiding in the recesses of my mind like a virus. Now it is finally unleased. Yes, it is the "due to exams" spiel that we've come to expect from students.

SO, i have less than a month until my exams start. ergo i should start revising for them now. Revision cuts into surfing time. My presence will be felt here less (and no, don't cheer. Well, if you must, at least wait until i am gone) as i will be slogging away at boring books and trying not to be tempted by the internet. That's not to say i'm gone completely. Geez, i've got to have some fun! I'll just be here sporadically, hence the title.

    Now onto more exciting news.

    I have a car!

oh yes, just ten minutes ago my parents brought me a Ford KA collection in silver. Now, i'm not the biggest fan of KA's, but this one is nice. And she's mine!

I SKIIED DOWN THE LONGEST BLACK RUN IN EUROPE! Yes, that's right dudeys, i went down the Sarenne, which is this bad boy here:

How exciting! I even managed to stay upright!

Skiing was immense, as usual. Female dogging [i defy you TV.com!] was rife, as was expected in a big bunch of girls. Someone broke something, which is not surprising. I became Bathroom Nazi Extraordinaire (in a clean way, i promise) and now have an uber-cold. This is becase on the last day, the weather decided to pour whilst we were out skiing and so we all got wet. I never really warmed up, and being dry is a really nice thing to be. Still, it was so worth it.

So how has everybody been during my hiatus? And if you can guess the song from which the title is derived, extra bonus points to you.

After a maximum of five hours sleep, our intrepid travellers awoke to the screaming sound of an alarm just seconds after the sun had risen. The adventurer stumbled out of their arctic sleeping bad and into boots that still squelched from the previous days activities. After trying to be quiet, the traveller stomped downstairs and rushed across the raining courtyard, carrying clean possesions in a bright orange plastic bag marked with the curious name 'Sainsbury's '. The showers were breached, clothes came off and lukewarm water assaulted the travellers skin. The water flowed brown. SHower having been completed, teeth were done and soon a relatively presentable traveller emerged.

The two early risers returned just as everyone else was getting out of bed. They prepared a nourishing breakfast of congealed porridge and dishwater chocolat chaud, shouldered their bags and set off in the garish minivan. The trip lasted only twenty minutes, filled with sickness and condensation and ending only when a remote carpark was in sight. The intrepid travellers debarked and the lucky few covered their precious cargo with waterproofs. The maps were sodden, the clothing soaked through. Each team was assigned a leader, they consulted said maps and set off, cautiously following compass bearings into the mist. Visability was poor and soon our travellers were off the beaten track.

A brief pause for a snack soon turned deadly. One of the travellers (hereby referred to as Wetfish) mumbled to another about a feeling of sickness. The unfortunate ear raised the alarm and the leader suspected hypothermia. Everything happened very quickly. A small parachute in the disguise of an emergency shelter was flown, the now cold travellers left to shiver underneath its cramped cover whilst the leader phoned for help. Wetfish continued to complain. The other travellers talked to them, gave them clothes for warmth and brewed nourishing broths, but nothing helped. Wetfish remained chilled for a further two and a half hours until help came, whereby their belongings were distributed between the other meanderers and the two groups set off. Wetfish continued to complain, but our valiant travellers ignored them. ANother half-hour later, the minivans were in sight once again and Wetfish was bundled in, leaving the other travellers to discuss her patheticicity and debate the unfairness of their inability to complete the course. They went home almost four hours early.

Back at the bunk barn, female-dogging [ha! censure that!] ensued. The other teams returned, jubilant and flushed with mud, and dinner was cooked. Evening activitied commenced and bed beckoned. Super sperm may have attacked again, although pregnancy has still not been confirmed. Only time will tell.

    Tune in next time for

In other news: my party this saturday-- some of my friends decided to give it a theme. Care to guess? It's pimps and wh*res. Woop-de-doo. That was so not my idea! Long day at work too, so i'll probably be late for my own party

    TXF2 trailer came out! Uber-excitement!

Never fear- the DofE tale will continue!

    But in the interim...

Had my birthday- went to see Hairspray at the Shaftesbury Theatre near Covent Garden, it was amazing (even better than the film, which was brilliant).

Had my first driving lesson- top speed of 30mph, 3rd gear; stalled thrice at junctions and nearly drove up a grass verge. Not bad for 2hours work!

Had a work 'do, drank quite a bit, my friend revealed my bra size to the world, went to sleep at 0200, my shift started at 0830 the next morning. Uber tiredness ensued.

That, in a nutshell, is it. Next post: story time!

It was the time of morning when only the bravest entered the Tesco Carpark, armed with eco-friendly bags and metre-long lists. The travellers were different though, they were clothed in wick-away material, heavy-duty treeking boots and 60l rucksacks. They bid their chauffeures goodbye and made their way over to the trio of minivans apprehensively, where their companions and leaders lay in wait. The rucksacks were lovingly placed into the orange van, and the intrepid travellers secured themselves into their seats, chunky boots leaving trails of mud wherever they went. Music was played, songs were sung and within 5hours the adventurers had reached their destination.

There was a small space that was clear of trees in which the minivans parked. The grass squelched underfoot, the slightest pressure causing a rivulet of brown water to trickle down the rolling hills. The small day bags were exchanged for the small houses that went on their owner's backs, snail like. Gaiters were zipped on and walking boots laced.

The afternoon was wet and as time progressed, so did the rain. The groups set off accompanied by one leader each (because we all know they would have become very lost otherwise), maps in hands and compasses around necks. The paths, if they existed, were small, the defining features almost non-existant. The intrepid travellers were almost swallowed by bogs disguised as mere puddles. One of the travellers even managed to fall in a river. Much compass work ensued, and photo-ops. After about 4hours the adventurers returned, dirtier and more tired than previously, but with smiles on their faces (except for one, but that story is continued later).

The travellers were allowed the luxury of staying in a bunk barn instead of a tent. The beds were narrow and had suspicious white stains on- super sperm. Pregnancy has not yet been confirmed. The rain, sensing that cooking was going on in the open, decided to increase in intensity and soon all food was diluted with nature's shower. Dinner having been eaten, the sodden travellers retired to the bunk barn to munch on such delights as 'nuts&raisins' and 'cashew nuts' to fill their unsatisfied bellies. They were called to the meeting room some hours later and forced to make Geology interesting. They failed. They went to bed and were probably attacked by the super sperm.

    NEXT TIME...

This one's a quickie, or at least I intend it to be. You never know what could happen once I start rambling on.

This is the weekend of DofE training, so basically I'm going to be spending the next three days tramping around Dartmoor in the mud. There's even a special extra- night trekking! What could be more exciting than getting lost in the moors at midnight?

If I am not killed by the headless horseman, the hound of the baskervilles or any other ghostly entity that inhabits Dartmoor, I will be back Monday. Love you all

...from the Tagging disease that seems to be going around. I have caught it yet again

    1. I have an inner chav. What can i say? Rap music is good!

    rap

    2. I love chocolate steam pudding and ice cream mush. Or chocolate cake and ice cream mush. Basically, you heat the chocolate object, add ice cream and mash them together until it has a soup-like consistency. It is delicious

    Chocolate Cake

    3. I am one of the fussiest eaters ever. Ever watched 'When Harry met Sally'? I'm like Sally when it comes to ordering at restaurants...or anywhere in general. I feel sorry for the poor waiters, but at least it's entertaining for the people i'm eating with.

    When Harry Met Sally

    4. Air is my drug of choice. I can go seriously hyper on that alone...well, if i'm with my mateys

    5. It's my birthday in less than 2 weeks! It's on the 19th March and i'm so excited because i can finally learn how to drive!

In other news, i passed the first module of my AS-levels! I'm uber-pleased

Hope you're all grooving along .

*sneezes* Mwahaha now you've caught the Tagging disease too. Pass it on!

    Party

It was some of my friends' 17th party last night, lots of mad dancing ensued. And alcohol consumption. I guess you can tell what happened when we tried to play twister. I learnt the Soulja Boy dance! Not sad at all

    Tag

    1. I am a first year at college (or in 'lower sixth' if you want to be picky) and study English Lit&Lang, Maths stats, Chemistry and Biology. I hate biology with a passion. Suffice to say, i'm giving it up next year.

    2. I have 3/7 of a horse. Her name is Moulan and she is the most beauuuuuuutiful horse that ever did walk. She's 16.1hh but my legs still reach all the way down her belly. And who can forget my chien? She's an english springy spaniel. Love.

    3. I am (attempting) to write a book/ story. I have all these ideas in my head but sometimes it's quite hard to translate them to paper. We'll see how it goes.

    4. I am an awful shipper. I don't mean that in a 'bad girl!' way, but in that if i watch a TV drama, i WILL find a couple that will be cute together. Anyone know where rehab for that disease is?

    5. I have curly hair. That's a bad fact, but i'm abysmal at these things and i feel i have to show my support for curly hair. 'It ruleth' as the shakespearians would say. Maybe. They might do.

    Photos

Due to public demand, i was going to publish photos of a terrible quality and miniature size. However, my documents and the internet are not co-operating, so this exciting feature will have to be postponed indefinately. I apologise.

Hope you had a good weekend! AS module results are out this week- so good luck!

So this is the comeback blog.

Skiing was immense, although the dude gave me ski boots that were 3 sizes too small (that is not an exaggeration, it was painful!) so I had to change those after possibly breaking my toes. Still, after that initial mishap things went swimmingly and I actually went down some black runs! Those are scary I've now got another...hmmm...6 weeks until I go again with the college I may be persuaded to post photos if the public demands it (see that subtle hint for comments there? Wasn't it good?) .

In other news, it is only 3 weeks and 4 days until my birthday, until I can learn to drive! I am actually in love with the Audi Quattro that's in Ashes to Ashes, but I somehow doubt that i'm going to be getting that Still, all very exciting

I'll finish with a question. How does someone get sunburnt when it is 4oC outside and they are wearing factor 50 suncream? If you know, could you please tell me, because I somehow managed it

*hugs* for everyone because you deserve them. Hope you had a good holiday.

    That's it.

It is actually so exciting- i even have all new sexy ski stuff because my old stuff was too short (the only bad thing about long legs- finding trousers to fit ). I decided that maybe it was time to do another blog

The Catalase plan and experiment went ok, i was winging it most of the time, but that's just what you do when the internet fails you (and yes, i do know that books exist, but none of them could seriously be boring enough to contain something useful aout Catalase). Now I have a 1500 word essay instead on enzymes in industry. If you're British and are going to take your AS-levels next year, one word of advice. If you want to keep your sanity, don't take Biology unless you are super intelligent. Rant [essentially] over.

Lost starts in the UK tonight, which is quite exciting. But without Charlie...well it'll still be good but Charlie's dead (I think, you can never really tell with Lost. He's probably not know i think about it but don't spoil me)!

It's been really windy here today, so when i lunged my horse she got a bit scared and either stood still or started bombing around the circle, with me digging my feet in in the centre! Poor thing, she doesn't like the wind!

I finished reading Patricia Cornwell's 'The Last Precinct' last night. ANyone read that series? You should, they're really good!

I wish the writers strike would end.

    C'est tout, mes amis

    I'm (vaguely) flu free now!

Instead, there is the curse of the biology coursework. I'm trying to research a method for the 'Effect of temperature on Catalase' experiment, and NOTHING is happening. The most annoying thing is that one of my friends has actually already done the experiment, so i could theoretically just call her and ask for it, but that would be cheating. As much as i hate Biology right now, i'd rather fail than cheat. So, my dilemma. Grrr. I just need to think that it will all be over by tuesday.

Now for a game of fill-in-the-blanks. It's a three letter word that fits in [.] and to make it even easier for you, have some more clues...

There are quite a few words pronounced the same as [.]. For example, a powder used in Harry Potter to travel between wizarding fireplaces, a word for the past tense of 'flying' and of course, the meaning i'm using it for. Delightful, isn't it?

I haven't been at college since Tuesday morning, during which i suffered through maths and then went home. I guess i've got all manner of crap to catch up on, but i can hardly dictate when to be ill, can i? Anyway, that's basically why i haven't been online (AT ALL!) because the glare form the computer hurt my eyes. Oh joy of joys. Woops, this wasn't supposed to be a rant.

So i suppose this is fair warning, i might be on for a while yet if i've got college work to catch up on- it's frikking hard!

And a special message for Signe- i haven't forgotten you sweetie, more ramblings are to come!

Indeed, the exams are upon me again. So, tomorrow, i will sit once more in a draughty hall and write intelligent nonsense in the hope of passing my first AS module. Yippee. So, in approximately 12hrs15min i will be queueing up ready for my biology exam, and then maths, in 36hrs15mins i will be waiting for chemistry and then english. woop-de-doo, i can hardly contain my excitement.

    I hate revision.

So, wish me luck(because that is basically all i have to go on, real knowledge escapes me!)

oooh, and for some REAL excitment in my life- CSI season 8 premiers in the UK tonight! Ok, so i've watched Dead Doll at least five times on my laptop, but it's going to be onOUR TV! My parents are already exasperated and it hasn't even started yet- my friend and i had a squeeing fit in the hall at college today...suffice to say we got a few weird looks.

    That's it xxx

Long time, no see- again! I'm sorry, i seem to be getting worse at this, but i do have an excuse...I'm in Scotland right now! Och aye in the bonnie land of Tartan! It's actually pretty rainy here right now, which was kind of depressing as i was looking forward to a white christmas, but no such luck. I've just been on loads of walks so far, up some Ben's with a rather moody soeur and over-enthusiastic dad. I can't really complain, at least i'm getting nice and fit for D of E Gold.

Hope you all had an AMAZING christmas! I promise i'll try and come on more often when i get back home, it's so hard to nab the computer here, there's only one and either the business men or old ladies are always on it!

8 days until christmas! How exciting!

The Arctic Monkeys were absolutely amazing. One of the warm-up bands was a little strange, but they were emo so i guess they couldn't help it Right at the beginning there was a bit of moshing which was really cool, but it made you hot and sweaty- nice!

Went to a forensics conference over the weekend at Nottingham Uni. It took a couple of hours to get there, but my friends and i managed to amuse ourselves and annoy my Dad by playing our music! The conference was good, loads of lectures, but the halls of residence were so scabacious and i don't really think i want to do forensics any more. Maybe, but i'm kind of going off it right know. Geez, when i was in year11 i knew exactly what i wanted to do and now...i don't have a frikking clue.

College is being kind of gay right now, we have exams in january and all the teachers are making us do mocks and practice papers. Yippee.

    That's it.

Oh my giddy aunt, it's been ages since i've been on here! It's not that i don't love you guys, but life has a tendency to get in the way.

I'm seeing the Arctic Monkeys tomorrow!

I'm rather excited, in case you couldn't tell. A group of us girlies are going up to Ally Pally in London to see them...we've got standing tickets- please let there be a mosh pit!

In other news, party last friday was bad; went to a 'party' last night and drank a lot; only 2 days until TXF2 starts filming; just saw The Golden Compass

because it won't let me do spoiler tags...

    **********SPOILER**************

it makes me angry whenever i see the name, mainly because it's a BRITISH book with a BRITISH author, and they call it by the American name? What idiot did that? Plus, it ends with about three chapters to spare just to make it happy. Uh, hate to break it to you, but if you want 'happy', His Dark Materials isn't the kind of thing you want to see. CLue's in the name guys.

It was a good film though, i just love the books so i'm going to be critical. Nothing could live up to them, but they really did twist half the story in a funny direction. Not to mention using the wrong name for some things. Rant over.

    ********END SPOILER***********

spoiler is such a funny word, mais oui?
