1000/1000 Bioshock!
So after spending the past few days in a Bioshock induced comma, doing little but play the game, I finally achieved all 1000 gamer points in it. Yay!

BioShock-ed?
So it's been roughly 5 hours since Jeff's Bioshock review hit the site and the Bioshock board has pretty much imploded upon itself. For those of you who haven't heard, Gamespot gave Bioshock a 9.0. The review can be found here.
I personally read the entire review and I don't see what people are so worked up over. It seemed to me that Jeffgenuinely loved the game. The majority of his gripes with it were justified complaints. The only thing that caught my eye was that he complained about some freezing problems. I'd imagine they experienced the same thing on multiple consoles, but if it's just one faulty system it's no reason to dock the game down a couple points. But for the most part I thought it was a good review.
And for those of you who accuse Gamespot of being too critical, where other writers scored it to be a 10, stop and think of what that score really means. Do you honestly think that this game is 100% perfect, and that it has no faults whatsoever? No such game exists, and imo a a 10/10 is a score that no game is deserving of. Nothing's perfect.
Also, alot of people will bring up the fact that other games scored higher than Bioshock, when Bioshock is "clearly superior." Consider this: Gamespot's new review system prevents games from scoring anything other .5 increments. So while Wario Ware scored a 9.1, had Bioshock been reviewed in the previous system it might have scored a 9.3 or so. Also other games are reviewed and critiqued (sp) compared with games on the same console. So comparing a Wii game's score, to a score of a 360 game is just silly. Furthermore, Gamespot has several different writers, all with their own individual tastes and opinions. Although the writers try to be unbiased, it just might be possible that they don't love the same genres to the same extent as you.

A Poem
I never really wrote poetry before, but I wrote this today. What do you think?
Animosity
By JS
---
After horn and siren blare,
Is there noone left to stare,
At the devastry,
Catastrophy,
Animosity,
Of all the peace and harmony,
That's turned it's head to misery,
That's left upon the world today?
---
Inner hope and freedom glare,
But the truth of it is rare,
All the wondering,
The Pondering,
The Sundering,
Of what we know or think to be having,
That we know or think to be fighting for.
